This is so, so beautiful... I used to read many stories of many genres written by Skyrim players, and none of them stand even close to your masterpiece! Your story is so deep, humane... Hi Grandma! I think this is such a cool idea for a character! The tree, just thinking about its life and all of its experiences happening right there on the rocky coast. I imagine the tree growing up and flourishing and then becoming a landmark of sorts. This tree deserves this lovely coast as a home and dreams of an unknown future, there on the beautiful Northern coast of Skyrim. I loved it!! xox 💜

I know I saw the one with the old stump, but I hope this tree also finds someone that would like to make it their home. So they will not be so lonely anymore. It makes you think though, how would it be to be a sentient tree, just standing somewhere watching the world around it.

Dear tree, it takes a lot of courage to grow where others have feared or failed to do so ❤
You are not shunned by your family, standing apart -- you are a brave explorer, strong enough to live and grow by the shore where it's much harder to draw sustenance from the soil - and yet, you thrive! 😁
A forest is very pleasant to look at, yes, but a single tree posed by the water's edge has an artistic value of a wholly different kind - I'm sure one day a curious adventurer will walk by, stop, turn their head and sigh in awe. And then they shall pull out a painter's easel or a Dwemer-made camera and make sure your unique physique can be seen by countless generations long, long after you're both gone.
And as for your twisted trunk and unusually shaped branches - have you ever thought about birds that fly over the water, perhaps catching a fly or a fish? It's hard work, having to search for food all day long (animals aren't lucky like trees in this regard...) - and imagine how happy they must be that there is a tree right by the shore where they can sit on a branch and rest for a while! 😊
As for your stump friend - he is adorned by mushroomy growths, yes, but that's because he no longer needs to grow himself; fungi are fascinating, but they can make it tough for a young tree like you to grow properly, once they've taken root in your bark 😉🧐
So, dear tree - let the sound of waves carry your sadness away. Revel in the fact that you have survived against harsh odds and that you bring joy to many, in ways you may not even think of! ❤️😊

Don't worry, Sentient Tree. You have a safe home by the water. A place to call your own. And the stump is your neighbor. You already are big and strong and beautiful. The fish look at you and say , " Wow, I love that Sentient Tree. Makes me comfortable shade on a hot day."

Would love to know your creative process. Did you find the tree and then come up with the poem or think it up before-hand and then found some nice scenery?
I've seen all areas in Skyrim for so many years... I just came up with an idea for a tree, the other day and just went to one.
Do you plan to play other games? I've got a couple of recommendations.
