Beautiful car. Have the body mounts ever been changed? That bang / knock at the one minute mark sure sounds like my 79 coupe did . Took me about 6 months
of trial and error to figure it out. Regardless the car is just gorgeous.

I test drove a brand new '78 Elky in the same shade of green . 200 inch V6 , three on the floor , very very doggy . I passed on it .

That's nice. I just inherited a 1979 El Camino from my dad and I need to replace both side mirrors. Do you know how to access the housing in order to remove the mirrors? It looks like I might have to remove the inner door panel but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Hello, beautiful your el camino. i have a 1978 malibu 2 door and i am intending to remove the column shifter and put a b&m starshifter or z gate to the floor. How does this modification work for you, do you recommend it, does it work well???? greetings.
