I love that you ‘got’ the meaning of the song and saw the joining of the instruments with the people . No more silence . It’s surprising how many don’t get it

This was written by Paul Simon in 1964. Originally performed by Simon and Garfunkel.

This is better than the orginal when it comes to raw emotions. But the orginal harmonies with Simon & Garfunkel was flawless

I think that the burning keys rapresent the piano returning to life and start playing.....it's a song that builds itself step by step....like those steps that we will have to take towards each other
If you really want to hear a great version of this, there’s a version of it out there with no background music, just him singing. It’s the one I love the most, even better than the original by Simon and Garfunkel.

I love seeing blacks react to this song because of how important town criers were in their ancient culture. In old times cries reported news or motivated the people to do certain things in a unified manner (war, building, etc). Success of a crier was very dependent on a crier with right 'tone'. It's amazing to see.
