***** getting into modeling is something i would never recommend unless you can fully give your life too it. I honestly don't recommend being a model. So i would agree with your mom not to let you. I am in the business and can honestly say it is not easy. traveling all the time for shoots constantly working on your body to get it to that 'perfect state' . I am on the short time so it took a ton of no before i was finally accepted into an agency. I spent hours making sure the agencies i tried were not phoney because I had been in a fake mother agency before and wasted time and money. if your mom says no,she means it for the best. I know it might be hard to understand why but trust me you will thank her later :)
Maybe do modeling bag video, what's expected to be a model, how to pose to be a model, how to walk the runway

That's weird though, because for the open calls you have to be at least 5'9" :(. I'm 5'5" and it sucks knowing that I'm a couple of inches away from my dream.
I want to model more that life but I'm 5'0
I'm 5 foot exactly. And my friend is 5'1, we both model and no one has ever said much about our height.

Youree Lee theres nothing wrong with trying something new. The only thing the girl was saying is that you shouldnt limit yourself. If she wants to try to be a model, she should go for it. And if it doesn't work out then at least she tried, and she can move on to other things. 😊

great video!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO FOR ANYONE looking to get into modeling. Everything you Said I had just wrote on someone else's video comment section. Best advice is RESEARCH, don't just sign anything. Be weary of agencies with no real credentials and yes you have to be confident. I was so shy but once I started modelling I had to get use to parading around in my bra & briefs BTS runway haha its exciting but hard work as you said. Boring at times & not always glamorous. You did a great job.

I'm an aspiring actress. I've been on hundreds of castings and I've booked a good amount. The acting industry is very similar to modeling, and from reading the comments I know some people are giving constructive criticism to Hailey, but in the end she gave a lot valuable and informative tips. I am a model and I agree on all of this. however, the shortest I've seen is 5ft. im 5'4! so that just shows, that you can have you dreams come true!

OMG THANK YOU SO KUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! A modeling company at the mall offered me a deal for 150 to come and do a photo shoot but my mom said no and I was so mad but now that I know it's a scam I'm so glad I didn't.

How do you build a portfolio? Also videos like how you should prepare yourself for an interview, what poses/faces to do in the camera and things to make you more comfortable in front of the camera. Also please link a website to trustworthy angencies, including Florida based ones! :)

On every model video I've seen girls saying they can't model at 5 ft...or course you can! just not runway..but that's okay! and you don't NEED to sign up with an agency. I'm starting up and doing it all on my own. It's easier to network now that we have the Internet. Look for a modeling Facebook group in your city. Set up trade shoots to build your portfolio. People will even post paid shoots and you send in your pics or a link to your portfolio. The modeling world is already changing you guys, don't let how how you were born get in the way of your dreams IF I succeed and become big or at least known I'll think about making videos and being a motivation for short models. I'm not being cocky or saying it will for sure happen, but be the change you want to see in the world. :) I'm already getting shoots set up and it's awesome. :)
