Got this to replace the old gen Star Carbon. This 'new' design is now 8 years old but its proven. I yanked out the little known (bc nobody reads the fkn manual) internal rubber chin vent blocks and it FLOWS air if chin vent door is opened via the front. I was worried about the lens designs lack of detents (for slow speed airflow) but it stays 1/4" open on its own if not locked. Combine the fact that the chin vent rubber blocks are removed so it feels ALOT better for airflow in slow situations than old helmet. Old helmet w detents I was always flipping it up hunting a cool blast of air. The worry about lens detent habits are GONE. Len is the easiest to remove/replace of any brand. Helmet is NOT loud at all like everyone else bitches about on reviews. Id say its x2 as quiet! as my old star carbon. I wear earplugs 100% and might even try a ride w/o em now. $650 shipped from UK w (more stringent than DOT) ECE cert on the back.
