I never understood this hype. In German Gothic/Dark Wave music magazines from the early 90s, Lacrimosa had very bad reviews. The music was primitive, the vocals were a mess. And it surely had nothing to do with Goth as a musical style. The only positive thing about this guy was his style of clothing. A gothic model, but not a musician.
daisaigai7 Had you heard Elodia, Echos and Lichgestalt? It`s not a hype - look at modern pop musicians and you will see the hype. It`s not primitive, it`s specific and personal - it`s about early Lacrimosa. Music of Lacrimosa in Elodia, Lichtgestalt brings in gothic musical style more of melody, more of classical harmony, more sense. I would say that music of Lacrimosa isn`t primitive but it is very massive, complex and sensitive - there`s no the other band, which have for making music real orchestra.)))
pobres nacos , el tipo esta hablando de la inpiracion y la estructura del album echoes y explica cada uno de los tres capitulos en los que esta dividido. como que les gusta lacrimosa si no le entienden? no es lo mismo leer las letras en ingles que entenderlas y sentirlas en el idioma original. :)
