I just came from a short video that said this woman was cursed by the rain goddess and after suffering for so long, when she went outside the restaurant, she realized she had a miraculous gift and could use it to restore the desert

Depression makes her life miserable. Lots of people noticed that she is different and has a problem but everyone ignored the truth that she needs help. Depression is a long life BATTLE, it represents the rain that keeps pouring in her head.
When she finally felt that everything don't change she escape the problem and her depression by running away in the last part of the video.

This is masterpiece, we can see how depression or anxiety can cause someone to lose their appetite, sleep and the beauty of themselves but once you know you are not alone, you'll slowly find your strength back.

I opened up to this guy about my depression then he suddenly said "I was beaten up several times as a child but I never got the depression" like ok Im sorry that you get beaten up but why what do you mean you never got depression? Are you trying to indicate that youre better than me and that I'm just too sensitive? Want me to beat you up next?
Suffered depression for close to a year. It reached a point were I decided a date to commit suicide. No one around me could understand I needed help. One thing saved me, I knew and accepted that I'm in depression. When you accept the fact, than a lot of negative thougths you get, you know it is because of your mental health. People who suffers and not able to come out are ones, who don't accept their own condition. Before expecting others to understand, one should understand oneselves only.
Those who are not in depression really cannot understand what goes on in the head of a depressed person. It's really cruel. I lost a very close friend of mine to depression. I couldn't understand what was going on. I should have been there for him. I should have hugged him and said that i was there for him to share anything he wanted. We thought that he was just over reacting to simple things. I really couldn't believe that i had lost him. He was really very close to my heart.
That's not true at allz there are tons that accept there condition and still off themselves, there's no set this is how ppl act etc with depression as everyone has it differently, I accepted my depression a long time ago and still deal with suicidal thoughts. That's just not accurate when it comes to depression there's a big difference between having depression and being depressed..

Truly happy and content women are a rare breed. I hope you reading are one of them.
My takeaway from the ending is this. She realizes that her rain might follow her around all day. For some, it's only temporary - but everyone at one point will get caught in the rain at one point or another. I think she finds acceptance and comfort in knowing that the rain, or depression, is something that everyone must deal with at one point or another. In doing so she gives herself hope that it will eventually stop. In the closing shot, her acceptance of the depression leaves the her rain at the corner with the umbrella.
To me, this is all about acceptance of the struggles all have with depression.
This was beautifully shot and I loved the soundtrack. I also loved the metaphor this has, quite an interesting film to watch!

rain is a metaphor for depression. the person suffering feels it all the time, the moment she wakes up, in her morning routine, in the bus, at work, even eating food feels a heck of a task while feeling that way. it takes away all the joy, or even calmness of doing things that are just mundane tasks. it affects the person, but she tries to behave as if its not, but clearly everyone notices, it shows in her expressions and movements. people dont "see the rain" but notice something off in her. adults mostly try to ignore it but little ones observe and do address it, as halfblood pixie said. maybe thats why the boy noticed and others didnt

I came here to watch. And yeah, depression. Feeling sad all day, all time, each second, can't enjoy anything, you try to be happy but it always feels hevy in your chest, and this make everyday life such as socializing and work/school so hard, people start to leave you and ignore you because you have gloomy vibes no matter how you try to cover it and how you approach/even when you already treat them as best as you can. Tasks is messed up, You can't even focus. it feels like we have no advantage no matter how hard we fight, just like a curse. Like that rain.

I've read that depression is actually a defense the mind unconsciously resorts to in order to protect itself from feelings of pain so acute that they would cause overwhelming panic and chaos. Depression comes from feeling out of control of oneself, of one's life, which means death for any life form. I had it for years and still have periods, but I can lift it within hours by taking a couple of measures that give one a sense of some degree of control in a small way. That small range of control lifts one's spirits a little and helps unconsciously to give one confidence that one can relieve oneself at least for a short time. It's a reliable building block. Trying to tackle one's depression all at once is impossible and just leads to beating up on oneself for yet another failure to be in control. Even the most depressed person must have some sources of distraction, comfort, or joy in life or the person could not survive at all. List some of your pleasures and then pursue them more than usual. If you just want to sleep, get some super soft or pretty bed linens or create some small rituals around it--for example, a favorite snack first, a relaxing tub soak or just a foot bath, music, incense....indulge yourself in whatever enhances your feeling you just want to bury yourself in bed. You're then showing respect for your feelings, even if they are ones created by your need to escape depression through sleep. You honored yourself, the cornerstone of a healthful self-construction. My own go-to in snapping out of a ditch is to sing to myself a list of a dozen or do of my favorite songs. I thought this worked because I liked the melodies lyrics, but I realized it was more a matter of breathing more deeply when one sings. When we are tense and depressed, our breathing is shallow, and stale air simply pools at the bottom of our lungs where it prevents fresh air carrying rejuvenating oxygen from reaching and being circulated throughout the body. Just blowing air hard out of the lungs a few times a day can help. Gardening can be another way to bring change into your life, and creating change in any way is excercising control. Garden plants grow and change in myriad ways because you have planted, nurtured, and perhaps harvested tbem. They are sturdy, pretty, and sometimes productive of tasty, nourishing food. Also, keep in mind that depression (along with fatigue, concusion, memory loss, and irritability) is often caused by dehydration. Dehydration affects about 70 percent if us--we do not always feel thirst, but we often feel it ss hunger, and so we eat. Even jf you are not thirsty, be sure to drink at least 1 cup of water every 2 hours. Hope you will feel better soon....
