I understand the reasoning, but unfortunately I’m not trying to have my comment sections be filled with those - I see it a lot with pente and other TH-camrs, I just don’t want my community like that- it is nothing personal. I understand why those comments are frustrating, i remember relatively recently i wrote 2 lightsaber concepts I was relatively proud of, and I got upset at a friend for not discussing the thing i spent so much time on. But i do wanna offer a bit of perspective, maybe a lot of those comments requesting what ifs were asking because they found your writing really good, and wanted to see what you'd do with a certain idea.
Addressing your video, i really liked the direction you took this, i can imagine Ahsoka and Boba being sorta like big siblings to Luke and Leia.
Dude about the message in the very beginning just be grateful people watch your content anyways legitimately. The algorithm of them doesn't have to put your video out there. So telling your fan base you don't want to hear their ideas is just rude to them. You don't want to read them then just don't read them.
Starwarsidiot here's an idea to help you come up with ideas for videod. Try Creating a survey on TH-cam with 3 or 4 for potential what If ideas and have your community vote for videos. That might be a good way to better understand what your community wants to see.

Wouldn't a requested story in the comments in a way be a testement to how much the commenter appreciates your work because if they didn't why is it they are interested to see what you would do with the idea they requested....
Yes but people comment the same on everyday. It makes it much more tiresome to interact with people. Hence why he lets those ideas be said in the discord , where he can see them all at once while still interacting with the people in the comments.
@@Captaindark900 I think that, say, if the story could have gone down a Path A or Path B in the story, or even a section of the story, and asking for a what if that went that Path B instead of the Path A that it went wouldn't be out of line, as it would show that the poster actually WAS following the story (i.e. what if instead of letting Anakin stay in the order, despite him doing X, Y, Z, but instead expelled him from the Jedi Order for it?), but one that is totally unrelated, like "What if Jar Jar and Padme were lovers?" would be just cluttering up the comment section.
Another what if that wouldn't be out of line, now that I think of it, would be asking "What if such and such happened in your story?" in a way that is saying, did you consider that this could happen when you wrote this and that it could have altered the way things went in your story? That could be a helpful critique as it could point out plotholes that the author created without meaning to or also pointing out things that could make the story more interesting if the author wanted to do a revision. This would also be helpful to the author in writing future what ifs. (Such things could be like "I don't think Palpatine would just trust Dooku not to try and betray him and may have had some contigency plan against the way you went of him being a double agent. What if he'd had X as a backup plan?" or "Yes, that might stop Order 66 from happening, but since Palpatine had things like Operation Cinder to cause chaos even after he fell as Emperor, in the event it happened, what if he had secret missles to go off, perhaps fired by Mas Amada or some ally, in the event the Jedi found him and klled him, that would shoot them at the Jedi Temple and Galactic Senate building, as a final act of spite after his death?" )

i am subbed to mutiable what if channels and the comments sections are what if 9/10 times and maybe once in a while something about the story
so i totally get it but it might be something to do like polls on scenarios that you still can gage the type of content that people might want

Dude your literally the first person and probably only person in the theory community to have a problem with your watchers commenting there what ifs that you can use and change to fit the way you would do it....We are not telling you what to do they are just concepts....This honestly came out of nowhere for most of us and it feels a little out of place...I understand though sorta...

Yes, and no. While I myself have posted what ifs questions in replies to what ifs, as a fanfiction writer myself, I can TOTALLY get why someone would be upset that they have to sift through about 100 or more "What if something totally unrelated to the story happened?" to find a single post that critiques the what if you just worked on.
I mean, when I was reading a few what ifs, I try and look at the comments to try and guess what might happen ahead, like who might die and what might happen to whom, and I have to go through a LOT of what ifs on totally unrelated things before finding a comment that relates to the story, like "Yes, I can totally see Anakin pummeling Sidious as both of them are falling to their deaths."
That said, since not everyone has Discord, putting up some non-what if videos where you just ask for what if ideas and then you pick the best ones, either based on what you think is the best one, or one that seems to be in high demnad, or else maybe you can post some ones that were on Discord that people have suggested and ask if people like it here, as well as opening it up for people here to suggest more.
That might allow people to post what if ideas and NOT clog up the comments of what if videos while still feeling like they DON'T have to be on Discord to be heard.
Just a thought of how to compromise.
Because, while I can understand someone not wanting totally unrleated to the topic what if ideas (I can undderstand if say, there was a Path A and Path B that your story you did post could have taken and your story chose Path A and someone asks for a what if where you took Path B instead, I don't think that's being rude, as it shows that they were actually paying attention to your video rather than just posting a what if without evne possibly vieewing the video) Anyway, while I can get that, I can also understand where people have great ideas that they'd like to see fleshed out, only to find that, say, only users with Discord will be heard or only those that happen to be paying dough to your Patreon get to suggest them (I get that that's capitalism, but it's kind of offputting, as a good idea can easily be funded by people who support it because they like it and you do a good job, without having a "pay to play" system where only the donors get to make the what if suggestions. That was one of the things that bothers me about the Pente videos in that, while all these people are posting these what if ideas, some of them great, in every video, it seems he's often like "This one was suggested by a top tier Patreon" and I'm wondering, "So, do only your Patreon donors get to make the what if suggestions and we're wasting our time coming up with our own good ones to suggest?)
So, in conclusion, I think the best path forward is to make a way where the threads aren't clogged with what ifs so that StarWarsIdiot can get proper critique and improve while also allowing a way for viewers to suggest ideas without narrowing it down to just areas like Discord or Patreon and making people feel like they aren't important.

I understand your frustration w the unwanted suggestions (i read the comments too trying to see what others think would happen or if they agree). Ill be going through comment sectionsand only see 100 suggestions if "what ifs", and no actual "comments". This is prelevant on other channels too

I appreciate your feelings regarding the want for constructive feedback rather than only suggestions for future content. That said I’m not asking for you to change anything but was curious why so many content creators seem to center around the prequels? I don’t find many creators doing any what ifs on the sequels. Though I’m not a huge fan of the sequels I always thought what ifs may spark my interest in them.
Anyway, I have only gotten through part of this story so I can’t give any constructive criticism yet. Thanks for the content thought brother!
I’m just sticking with the prequels because it gets the most views to grow my channel.
So far I went into the OT before and it didn’t even get a K views, granted it wasn’t the “best” idea but I expected it to do a bit better.
I’m just afraid to move from the prequels, which gets the most engagement.

With so much content about the prequel out there I know myself am seeing a lot of overlapping ideas (not insinuating you) just mentioning that era is so over saturated at the moment, and I think (and of course could be wrong) that viewers may begin to shift towards something different
All that said I’m in no way expressing how you should run your channel. I’m not a TH-cam content creator I’m a visual artist and University professor so my knowledge on your creative medium is limited. But I enjoy your content and keep up the great work! :)

Actually, Boba himself is a clone of Jango Fett, albeit an unaltered non-accelerated aging clone. It's possible that he may have known that Tyrannus was Dooku (though maybe that was just something kept between Jango and Dooku, and maybe Jango didn't even dig too deeply, as long as he got paid, but considering that he was helping Dooku on Geonosis, most likely he DID know.) This could mean that Boba also knew about the fact that Dooku helped create the clone army. With him being Anakin's friend here, it's possible that, in all likelihood, he may have divulged that bit of information to him.
Anyway, great job with the Anakin/Boba bonding. They actually did have a lot in common and, as far as I know, you're the first one to have discovered it and made a what if on it.
Also, Anakin could have mentioned that Jango's death wasn't just a one-sided thing. In the movie, Jango was shooting at Jedi on behalf of Dooku and he killed at least one of them in defense of Dooku. Still, the fact that Anakin REGRETTED going gung ho on the Tuskan raiders, when his onw mother was killed, and she HAD been totally innocent, just taken by the Tuskans because they could, and yet he could see Anakin regretted his actions on Tatooine and truly didn't want Boba to go down the same path for his father (who wasn't as innocent as Shmi had been.) may have made Boba think twice about his planned revenge on the Jedi and his hatred of them. Also, Anakin could have pointed out that, Dooku, whom his father had teen defending, didn't even bother to help him when he, Boba, was left in need, but just left him behind, possibly to die. This could have led Boba to realize that, while yes, the Jedi kill his father, that they still had more honor than Sith like Dooku, especially since, after his antics in attacking Obi-wan on Kamino, he was technically acting as an enemy against them, yet they spared him and tried to help, while his supposed ally, Dooku, just left him behind to die.

And my community is everything to me, The few people i have in my discord and the engaging comments in my youtube is really what kept me going. I make videos solely for entertainment for y'all. As of right now I make $0 from youtube, So I do this in my free time between work, and the people getting mad over me making a very minuscule thing to the way things work, I don't want anyways. This isn't my job, I do this for myself and my true fans/community, I could care less how big i get or how many people leave because of it. Do I want to make it big? of course, but doing it traditionally wont get me nowhere.

Someone else might have no problem , but not everyone is the same. He might have a very tiring job and he doesn't want to spent time about what if suggestions. On the days where he reads what if suggestions he could read them all from the discord and not have to look at 15 different videos and half of them are the same what if idea.
Is Boba force sensitive like Omega giving him a bit of an edge in his combat skills? In the comics&Legends novels, the Sith spirits on Korriban hated Palpatine and would quickly rat him out.

I'm fairly new to this channel thought your stuff to be ok but good enough to sub and to maybe give a suggestion for a what if but after you said no more what ifs in comments I'm going to unsub because the way i measure a what if content creator is not just the subs not just the likes or views but also the what if comments it lets me know that the people who are watching like you enough that they wish you to do another one so they give you more ideas

People that make suggestions or requests are engaging with your channel. And like the way you do your stories and want to get your take on their idea, because 90% of any idea you can come up with for Star Wars what-if’s have been done by other creators in some former or fashion. And as a fledgling channel you should be happy with any engagement you can get.
I’m a subscriber to no less than 30 Star Wars TH-camrs, until this video you included.
I’m going to remove your channel from my recommendations.
Big channels like Star Wars theory who is the biggest Star Wars TH-camr, get a lot of their video ideas from the comment section.
And since you can’t monetize the channel until you hit 10,000 subscribers, you should be doing everything you can to encourage people to subscribe, not discourage them.

going on rants about people giving video suggestions isn't a good look. and no highly successful what if content creator should adress their viewers in such a way. are you trying to alienate your audience by forcing them off of the platform they are choosing to engage on. you should take lessons from like every other creator for star wars what ifs and not shit on your fans for giving you free ideas. maybe thank people who gave you a new video idea by name and not lash out at your supporters because it makes you feel a certain way. it's not your viewers fault you don't like that. and it isn't your place to tell people what they should comment. if it's that big of an issue for you Make a community poll and ignore the comments that you hate for daring to suggest something. other than that don't make it a bigger issue than it is and Don't adress comments that are what if suggestions. i personally am not one of the what if commenters. but the tone you convey turned me off from being able to watch at all.

I can't believe I need to say this, but here we are. This is my community and I base it how I want it. Y'all put in over a day writing a story, making a thumbnail and editing the story and have thousands of people view it, but no one comment about it, see how that affects your mental about everything, I can almost guarantee you would give up after a couple weeks. I was fine with suggestions in moderation but y'all took abuse of that and therefore because of the actions of a few it affects the masses. I know 95% of my viewers dont care, and just want to watch the story, and might want to give a suggestion here and there which is fine, but use it in moderation.
the few bad apples can leave, and if you're mad over anything I said, you can leave. Nothing I ever said was meant to be aggressive, and shouldn't be taken as such. I was making a change, I, as a creator, am allowed to make for my community. Saying I am "being a d*ck" for making a change is absurd.

'Engagement', or otherwise known as 'your own self fulfilling praise', that's low. Peoples opinions should matter since that's what engagement is, it's not disrespectful, you just think everything you make has to be praised, egotistical is what I call it.
