Me and markell are a year apart .. Markell Sept 14th 1999 , i’m born March 6 1998 .. we been through everything together and i never had a room to myself until he died . Me, markell , & our two sisters never lived under separate roofs .. Markell is our angel piece of the puzzle now & we hate getting older without him … We are all like best friends our Mom Monique Gregoire raised us so well and were all we had growing up so as you watch this video realize the hurt in our mom face bc she fought for us everyday since she was 15 .. that women is our world and she’s ours .. everything we ever did in life was for her .. me & markell would sit at night and talk about we were going to move her into a big house and buy her all these fancy cars lol … 😔💔 just know we came from a strong household and it feels empty without the baby boy😞

Miss you baby brother.. i always find myself watching this video just to listen to your voice because sometimes i just miss you & wanna hear your voice because you always said the right thing .. even thou i’m the big brother you were the one with the big brother advice i always sit down on my bed and night and cry missing those talk we used to have at night your bed beside mine and we would just sit and talk about everything , females, life, what we going to do when we make 18 , that’s what we dreamed about .. making 18 and you were gone 2weeks before my 18th birthday .. 7 months and a day before your 17th birthday .. 😞 scarred me for life .. i could never forget those last words you said to me the night before you passed it’s like you knew it was coming and it hurt me so bad not being able to protect you from it .. “don’t be trippen son” like to tell me when you gone don’t lose yourself … that night i got so mad at you cos i was like why would he say that i told you i didn’t wanna talk about that and turn around and just starred into space because i didn’t get it at the time but you were always worried about me being without you … and markell i promise nothing could prepare me to be without my baby brother .. it’s 7 years later and i’m still hurting like it happened yesterday
Another night markell, i found myself in a shelter .. longview Tx , this man named stacy talked to me and tells me he lost his brother to vance and as he’s talking more and more i realize it’s really you talking to me through him i didn’t tell him that but while he’s talking all i could see is you in his face me and him shedding tears bcos we both understood why we ended up here at this specific moment .. i told him about you and let him watch your video .. i just wanna let you know Markell thank you 😔 thank you for coming visit me .. thank you baby boy .. i missed you presence so much and you never come visit me often but i know if you watching over anybody it’s me … you only visited me a few time within these last 7years and everytime you do your presence is soo tough and strong .. i love you so much markell i been calling your phone number all week randomly just bcos i just wonder if your going to pick it up one time … life got me in a hold and you just try to speak you words back into my soul and i get it baby brother 💔 you won’t let me fail and you know i won’t let you down .. i keep pushing and pushing bcos i won’t let you down and i will spend my last breath trying to finish the mission we started .. i promise i never knew the meaning of truly missing someone until i seen you go.. i miss you more than i ever missed anything i crave your presence and those late night talks about what happened in school today more than anything .. just wanted to let you know i got your message you sent down for me and i listened to ever word and i knew it was you no doubt about it i love you lil/big brother ❤️ you’ll always be my role model #OTSS

Wow. So inspiring. Some people(including me sometimes) complain over not receiving something or having nothing to wear, while this kid is going through completely undeserved pain.
This is truly inspiring, I'm so proud of how strong Markell is. My brother had cancer at age 10, unfortunately he didn't make it. But this video has shown me that some do, and I know the treatment is way better now than it was when my brother had cancer. I'm going to school to be a pediatric oncology nurse because children shouldn't have to go through pain like that. Keep up the strength

I'm not really one of Markell's friends. but we were in middle school together and i go to NISH with him. we have lunch together and i sit almost by him. Markell is a sweet person that makes everyone laugh. he's a people person. to me, he's an inspiration. i remember the first day of school and i didnt even see Markell but i seen a whole bunch of cameras and everything. i turned to my friend and i was like whats all this for. when she told me that Markell was coming to school, i was so happy. ANY disease that takes beautiful young souls is the enemy. I'm on YT with a silly handbag collecting hobby. Who cares what bag I'm carrying when people like Markell fight just to live another day. Instead of buying another bag I don't need: I'm donating to St. Jude. I know that Markell and his angel friend Arianna will inspire others to do the same.

Cancer sucks I've had it for over a year and a couple months and I was diagnosed when I was 14 and now I'm 15 and I'm going into a transplant on 19th of this month. & I also have hodgskins lymphoma. Wish me and this transplant luck.

I live in Memphis where St. Jude is and I see kids around town who are wheelchair bound and some walking around. You just never know what stage they are in their treatment or if they are in remission or not. I'll be praying for Arianna's parents and sister because I had no idea she passed away. I remember seeing their story on the tv broadcast with Arianna's mom explaining why she shaved her head and did it so that she could look just like Arianna so she wouldn't feel bad about having a bald head. I just feel sad now knowing that she couldn't win her battle

This video makes me know understand that in life...I'VE GOT IT GOOD.There are starving kids in Africa and even scared kids with no parents-Orphans. And guess what. I have a family,A working father and mother, A ROOF OVER MY HEAD, and the best brother I could ask for! I now know...I've got it good.

I do not understand cancer and why it has to bully kids, It needs to stop bulling our kids now, I have terminal cancer myself and I am glad that it is me and not any of my 6 kids or my grand baby, I can handle this kids can but should never have to. RIP Markel you fought so hard, Just remember this you did NOT lose your battle, you won you over came cancer by going to heaven, that's the ultmeant healing cause cancer can never ever get you again
