    One of the best investments I ever made crowding tub , alley, palpitation gate and body head chute. I lucked into a farm show demo that had two levers broke off by towmotor driver broke at show and the company beside it put a huge dent in one tub panel. Being a do it yourself person like you I fixed/modified it better than new. No head bangers at my place either. lol

      I think a lot of people don’t understand how critical it is to have good working facilities. Sounds like you got a great deal! Thanks

    I am always amazed at what a farmer/rancher can do to facilitate a project. Thanks for the explanation. I always laugh when I hear people says big money will only come with a 4 year degree. There are a lot if talented welders, electricians & plumbers your age knocking down 6 figure yearly pay. Keep the videos coming.

    With the way you have to really think through things it reminds me of sewing

      Yeah I guess anytime you make something no matter what it is, you really got to plan it out start to finish!

    Very nice video you do a very good job in how you explain what your doing and why I hope you got a price for your improvement on the chute when you sold it looks very nice.

    Good information about the tools you're using & the improvements you're making to the squeeze chute. Great how to video, that's for sure. With all of the improvements you're doing, I'd almost think that you'd keep the old one & sell off the newer one instead. Stay safe.

      Thank you so much for all the kind words! I was thinking the same thing, by the time it’s all done I won’t want to part with it! Who knows I may come with a reason why I “need” to keep it. Glad you enjoyed it!

    Can't be a rancher/farmer without welding equipment. I have a Miller Diesel Big 40, Miller 200 amp gas welder and a Miller 180 with aluminum spool gun. Also an ESAB plasma cutter capable of one inch cut. I find Makita makes the best grinders. And cordless, everything is Milwaukee. You will find that you can never have enough tools. Anyway, I like your welds.

    Nice upgrades we run a hydraulic chute with all the cattle that we run every year its built heavy and I like it makes working the cattle easier and faster

      I have operated a hydraulic squeeze and you’re right, they are awesome and almost a necessity with large numbers of cattle. Only problem is I’ve never seen one for less than $10,000 so they’re a little out of my reach! Although now you got me wondering how hard it would be to convert one to hydraulic? Thanks for watching!

      They cost alot but ours has paid for itself it's about 5 years old haven't had a bit of trouble I don't know how hard it would to convert to hydraulics

    One thing that I would recommend is get a can of that spray foam and put some in the end of your handles. Wasp really like to build in pipe and square tubing for some reason.

    • @farmertylerranch4399
      @farmertylerranch4399  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent point. I plan on capping all pipes before I’m done for that very reason! Whatever doesn’t get capped will get foamed

    I bought a used Hypertherm 30. Still using it today. If I need to cut thicker metal torch.

    Love the saw blade ratchet nice: no doubt on the bar .... I bought a steel bldg for our new 40acres(me&hubbystill fencing) bldg has a few panels and head gate hope the head gate doesn’t make my cows shy of a chute which I’ve heard it can.

      Hmm I don’t know. Just give them a little feed while they’re locked in there and they’ll love going in!

    Sorry late to the comments 👍you sure you wanna sell it , it's probably gonna be better than the newer one your using ? Thanks for the review on the tube notcher, I wouldn't have guessed using a cordless drill , I mean, I was looking for your hand to be in a cast towards the end of video there 😉👍

    • @farmertylerranch4399
      @farmertylerranch4399  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yeah I was really starting to worry about you BTO!! It will be good but not as good as the new one for a couple reasons- the frame is a bit smaller and it doesn’t have the adjustability the new one has to accommodate different size cattle. You definitely want to have a firm hold on that drill! Smart people hook those up to a drill press but not me! Thanks for watching!
