I love your "Let's Chat" videos and hope you'll continue to make them. I can't focus on your tutorial videos while I'm making my own jewelry, but I enjoy listening to you while I work, if that makes sense lol. You do a great job and I love your positive energy 😊
I discovered you a few days ago, and I love watching your videos. You're so inspiring. I like making jewelry, taking photograph of my flowers, beautiful sunsets as an amateur. But I never thought of using them as a background for my jewelry. Your tips inspired me. I like how you talk, how you are positive. It is relaxing listening to you. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Perfect tutorial❣️. Thank you so much for sharing, I’ve learned that there is so much that can be used to beautify my photos if I just walk around our home and ‘see’ things differently.
I love your use of drift wood and natural props in your photography. Every scene, even while beading shows attention to aesthetics. Your videos also always start with a short vignette in nature. Always a ton of attention to beauty throughout.
Thank you for the wonderful tips! If we just look around we can see so many ideas to work with! You seem so much at peace in nature and in the pieces you create!
Thank-you Luisa, for sharing your knowledge. I set up an account on Pixabay today. I'm glad you turned me on to it. I was having a hard time finding photos that I could use in conjunction with my own. I take horrible photos, so a appreciate all of your advice. You give me so much inspiration. God bless...
In central Oklahoma we get all the seasons, in all their glory and fury, which I love. My favorite is fall (I'm a September baby, so that might play into it, I'm told -- but I love the warm days, cool nights, and drier air) and spring (though that is tornado season here and makes the season somewhat less attractive -- but the floral display is just outstanding, if hail storms permit. I know that hail is coming when my peonies bloom. They seem to be a precursor. No sooner do they bloom than we have a mighty hail storm that takes them out, so I photograph them immediately so I can enjoy them a bit longer). Our summers can be brutal, but we've been lucky this year, both temperature and rain-wise -- usually quite hot and humid and rain-free. I do love the snow in winter, but in small doses, which is what we usually get. Here for a few days, then gone again, back again for a few days, then gone. That's my favorite kind of snow. We can enjoy it without being crippled by it. As to photographing outside, I've not had very good luck. I've tried in every kind of light and nothing seems to capture the ACTUAL color of what I'm photographing, whether it's my garden flowers or my jewelry or the scarves that I've woven, even with editing and trying to modify the colors. I was previously using a good quality canon camera, but now have an iphone which may give me better images, so I'm eager to try that. Even the android tablet that I had didn't cut it. I now have an ipad and am eager to try that out as well. I've got to say that the seemingly indoor photos that you take of your pieces always come out very nicely. Whether they are on a bust or a fabric background of some kind, they are always beautiful. I can't say that I remember too many of yours being photographed outdoors, though perhaps I'm just focusing on the beauty of the jewelry and not its background (also, I'm only on youtube and not social media). At 8:38 when you ask "who is this guy", isn't that a depiction of the wind? That's what I always thought, though now that I'm googling it nothing comes up along those lines. I used to be the manager of a garden center and I ordered garden decor, and that's what's in my head. (No guarantees of accuracy there.) Did you confront the woman who stole your images? I'm the type who would have called her out on it, tho no one else in my family is that way. As to your request for what pleases or displeases me video-wise, nothing you have ever done has displeased me. My favorites are probably what you make with your Bead Box Bargains subscription since I have that one also. But, truly, I'm delighted by anything you post. Thanks for sharing your time (and your lovely garden -- those butterfly bushes and coneflowers are exquisite! I'd love to see your pergola when that wisteria is in bloom!).
Kim, thank you so much for your lovely comments. I’ve been meaning to respond because I find when I don’t, comments go to the bottom of my list in the TH-cam studio app that I use. Yes, many of the photos seem to be indoors when they’re not. I took a bunch outside on cloudy days and they definitely look like they were taken inside. The ones on the bust were definitely all indoor photos. I haven’t had a chance to upload many new Etsy listings but when I do, you will definitely notice a difference. I take my photos in the morning around 10am or the evening around 5pm when the sun is just beginning to move down. That’s when I get the best results. The outside lighting has to be just right. That’s why I emphasized the words “just right”. It is so important. I think if I had a better camera, I wouldn’t have to plan my photography so much but even then, you still have to be mindful of the sunlight conditions. Some days we have clearer brighter days than other days, depending on the humidity level and the atmosphere. So much if it can affect your photography. Sometimes I photograph the same piece on more than one day to get the best results. How cool about the peonies! I had no idea they could sense upcoming hail storms. Nature is awesome! Yeah...”that guy” looks like he’s wind blown. 😊❤️🌺🌸
I just found you a few days ago, and I'm so thankful for all of the technical and design ideas you share. I'm fairly new to beading, so I'm soaking it all up. This was really helpful. I particularly enjoyed the way you showed us how you find and use your props. Thank you so much!
Chest gorgeous outside pics I love nature!! I never thought of doing pics outside I've always brought my Driftwood inside and also a huge Crystal Rock that I got in Arkansas, and since it's fall and may try to photograph outside thank you so much for all your inspiration you are amazing.
You are such an incredible artist, especially the way you combine gems from the earth with nature. I also love your delivery. Sometimes a video of yours will help uplift my spirits after a trying day. Thank you.
Thank you. I misplaced my camera, so after watching your video, I will try my android smart phone. I live in SE Fla, so there are so many beautiful places I can try. I had been using a light box. You are so kind to share so much with the public.
Great tips! I’ve been so lazy with pictures and have been photographing my embroidery project on my lap, lol. I do have a photo box, which takes beautiful pictures, but my craft room is so cluttered right now that I don’t have a space to set it up... I love all of your videos, hauls, unboxings, finished jewelry updates and most definitely tutorials! I also enjoy your “chitchat“ videos where you talk to us. I’m glad the lady took down the comments where she’s taking credit for your design, but I do think it’s a good idea for you to watermark your pictures from now on to avoid having them stolen.
Oh thank you Sharon. Yes, I have the same problem with my two light boxes. I don’t have enough desk space to set them up and so they stay in storage. Plus both of them have insufficient light, probably because they weren’t that expensive. Thanks for the reminder about watermarking. I keep forgetting to do it. 😊❤️🌺🌸
Thank you Luisa for this tutorial. I really enjoyed it alot and it is very informative. I love the outdoors too and I can see me taking pictures of my jewelry pieces with weeds and weed flowers too. Thank you for sharing this 😊❤
Thank you Angela. Yes…weeds and weed flowers sounds lovely. I’ve often picked up weed flowers on my walks and they can be just as beautiful as other flowers 🌸🌺🌼🙂
Thank you so much for this. As you know, I'm severly lacking the photography gene. lol! This helps a lot, and I'll be looking for scenes that are already there in the backyard. :) Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp feeling of the air, and the smell of the leaves. The fall color combinations are usually the ones that catch my eye. I'd be hard pressed to make a choice concerning my favorite videos that you do. Even if I'm watching one that is making a piece I know I'll never make, I still get hints, lessons, and techniques that help me in future projects. If I had to make a choice or face imminent death, it would probably be multi-strand necklaces.
Aww... thank you so much Liz for the nice comments and feedback. I’ll definitely put a multi on my tutorial to-do list. 😊 Your photography is actually looking pretty good these days! Keep up the good work...BTW everyone has a photography gene 😊 but each of us use it differently 😊❤️🌺🌸

But anything really is welcome 🙏🏻 by us followers, because you teach us always something different! Enjoy your day!

Thanks for the tips on photographing jewelry. I really struggle with that. I use my iPhone 10 also but they never look as good as yours. I will try some of your techniques.
Thanks for all the tips Luisa. Making jewellery is the easy part for me and then I think damn got to photograph the finished item 🤯 So I have been putting my business name on pics I share on social media, to protect them from being stolen and used by others as there own. Actually can't believe someone would do that to you, damn cheek!!
Yeah...I need to do that also but the groups I belong to have a rule that you can’t promote your business. So that’s why I’m reluctant to watermark my images. 🙄❤️🌺🌸
@@MistyMoonDesigns which group did this happen on? I belong to a few different groups as well, most don't want you selling on the group but can always promote business pages 👍🏻❤
It was the Jesse James Secret Stash....I actually don’t know if they have that rule but I’m always mindful. I know some of the other beading groups specifically tell you not to promote your business or TH-cam channel. I remember one time I made a tutorial using the beads from one of the Potomac Beads subscription boxes and one of their moderators took down my post where I was telling everyone about the tutorial. I thought I was doing them a favor by promoting their box but apparently it violated one of their rules. Ever since then, I’m super cautious.
I love your photographs! Always very beautiful! I've honestly never taken any of my jewelry photos outside. I do have a lightbox that I've been using for my Etsy photos because I think that it shows the jewelry really well. Looking at your photos though, the jewelry looks so beautiful accented by the background. I might have to try branching out into nature. (pun intended 😂) Great video!!
Thank you for all of your videos. I love them. I'm a belly dancer too but I just started with jewelry making. Can you do a video on making jewelry for Belly Dancers Please?
Thank you Virginia! I’ve contemplated making jewelry for belly dancers many times. In fact, for cabaret style, bead weaving is awesome because it doesn’t get caught on your costume or hair. I have not done tribal but I know the type of jewelry required for that. I would love to get more recommendations from you and other viewers! 😊❤️🌺🌸
Ahh!...that’s an excellent question and I will be doing a video about making tutorials once I upgrade my lighting because the ring light I purchased recently did not last very long. So please stay tuned for that because, yeah, there aren’t many videos about it on TH-cam 😊❤️
Wonder if I could get the big tortious to sit long enough for a photo shot maybe add earring to the horse or goats, no not the goats they would eat them. lol tort she runs around to much then the hot part of the day disappears into her den. (Can’t blame her). After that it’s all dirt. lol no wood that looks good, some really old falling apart stall for a horse that she’s chewed on and kicked at. lol going to have to take a look around see what I find. 🤔 thanks for the awesome ideas going to look into those.
I bet you could find something! You can beautify anything with jewelry. An old piece of tin roof or a piece of weathered wood will make your jewelry look even more beautiful 😊. Beauty and the beast! 😂. Seriously though...if you use a shabby background, your jewelry will stand out. That’s a fact. 🙂❤️🌺🌸
Misty Moon Designs now if I could only train the horse and goats not to eat them. 🤣🤣🤣 the tortoise I do t see having a problem with if she’s up, but it gets hot and she’s in her burrow that about 10-11 am until 8-9 the next morning. 🤔 year they sleep a lot. lol so may have to wonder around. 😊 thanks

Beautiful!!
Thank you so much Diana! 😊❤️🌺🌸
Great video. I needed this.
Thank you so much! 😊❤️🌺🌸
How do you prop your phone when your doing a tutorial? Is it in front of you or behind you, what is it sitting on etc.?
Please Help
😊 thanks
Thank you
