Later he moved to Nazi Germany, and only then, before the WWII, he immigrated to the USSR because he decided it was the only safe country, the only country to withstand the fascism. Yes, he died in Soviet Russia on November 8th, 1974, but he was NOT born in Russia.
There is something behind this message as Sai is very particular while telling dates and when it's translated. He wants to teach us something or convey something. The Krishna story in one reply seems to be of some relevance. But there could be something deeper. May Swami endow wisdom to us to understand his leela though the heart always finds bliss in it.

Messing has a biography that is interesting. He had to avoid mention of spirituality. There is a record online somewhere of the rest of Swami's story on Messing. He related when Messing finally got darshan. So Messing did get darshan. I did not think this video existed, I'm grateful to see it and of course would like to see the rest.

Sai Ram, as per Baba's talk, Messing was born in 1899, he then left to go around the world when he was 10 years old in 1909 and traveled for 10 years. When Messing was 19 years old he came to India and saw Sathya Sai Baba who was at that time studying in Kamalapuram? Swami was born in 1926, when Messing would be 27 years old? Can you elucidate, please, if I missed something or did not understand well the chronology? The dates do not seem to fit. Thank you, Sai Ram

But all I know Wolf Messing was legit mystic who had three undeniable abilities: he could read other men's thoughts, he could supress other men's will and make them do things he wanted, he could see future of individuals and events by photo and otherwise, plus he could go in a trans for days voluntarily etc. And if Swami for whatever reason says that he met him ten years after he left home at age 9 being born in 1899 - it is obvious for a devotees that he actually did that. If the dates do not seem to coinside Just remember that it is said by the ruler of the time, he is time himself, he can manipulate time anyway he wishes, even to Just meet his devotee

Messing skipped ww1 and went to India, likely in 1918. He wandered many places. He had Spiritual powers, to see people's AURA and read their Spiritual status. It's likely he stayed in India for 20-21 years. Around mid 1930s, he was traveling south India thru train, when he saw Swami (a boy with magnificent aura).. and that's what Swami is relating in this video. Swami didn't tell the details. After meeting Swami, messing returned to Moscow, served Russian govt, and visited India again to see Swami. Third time Messing visited Swami was after his death, and this time Messing appeared in sky, saluted Swami and disappeared (this was seen by people who were with Swami at this time). AUM Sai 🙏

He was talking about "this man". Obviously, Messing must have been around 33 when this happened.
