Yes you certainly can! Here's a visit to it: th-cam.com/video/0eHIuF8EVN4/w-d-xo.html And San Lorenzo Canyon on BLM land northwest of Socorro is also terrific. Thanks for watching.
We natives are getting sick of all outsiders getting there way too our mother earth. Why isn't the government leting these,s people enterning our provert land. That not right at all. The government is not doing there job at all.
Geologically these hoodoos are completely different than many other places in the Western US with hoodoos and badlands. In New Mexico the Tent Rocks are all volcanically created. Those are massive columns of volcanic ash capped with erosion resistant cap rock. The Tent Rocks was mostly created by the nearby Valles Caldera, which is a supervolcano that had cataclysmic eruptions. Those eruptions buried present day New Mexico in hundreds of feet of ash. It’s that ash which is responsible for forming Tent Rocks.
I was there few weeks ago I love hiking but so far this one was one of the most difficult hike we ever done we also did it with 2 Toddlers but at the end was totally worth it beautiful view
Kaylin- Tent Rocks is an entirely self-guided and self-paced experience. If you are serious about simply hiking nonstop up to the top and heading back down, and you are an experienced hiker, you should allow about an hour to cover the 1.5 mile, 650 ft climb. But you HAVE to stop, explore and photograph! Keep in mind you will average about 6100 ft for altitude, and there are no facilities or water along the trails.
Everywere is trouble its not jus in a place new mexico has more culture and beauty than most of the united states we have everything but a ocean and a rain forest most movies you see are filmed in new mexico especially westerns from when we were kids to about 70 percent of movies out there from 2015 on up are from nm. I travel as a stage hand all over the u.s. nothing has been as uniqe as new mexico and the crime is the same everywere i ve been
Diego Marlar Stone Lizard Hops Farm yes, you are right. NM has very little crime for a state that has only 2 million people and where it’s almost all rural. People who only see NM, watch Breaking Bad. People who want to experience NM need to actually go there. And I’ll tell NM is one of the most beautiful places in the country. And I got that from experience.
@S Varghese I always pick up after my dog. I have bags attached to her leash handle. Boarding is a good idea in general, but not with my dog. She is 110 lbs of livestock guardian whose bark can be heard for miles. And she'd bark a lot. All Great Pyrenees do, especially when she is around a lot of strange dogs. Protecting me is her job, so she'd bark until I was back with her. She's well behaved when we are together but she can be intimidating to others. I usually take turns with hubby. If dogs are not allowed, he'll do the activity and later stay with her while I do the activity.
Wow just found this posting . The information at the end was really helpful. Will be looking forward to rest of your videos.
One of my favorite places on New Mexico.
You can see a slot canyon in las cruces NM also

There are canyons similar to these even much smoother like polished antelope canyon on the navajo reservation and valley of fire in nv..
The tent rocks are hoodoos and hoodoos can be seen in Utah at Bryce Canyon.
thank you, when I herd them say that they could only be found in turkey, utah was my first thought. and they look even cooler there.

I'm planning on doing this hike with 2 toddlers as well - can you share how long it took? Should I plan for 3 hours? 4 hours? thanks!
Wow I am planning to visit in Feb 2022. Where can I get the trail maps and are there any paid guides who are interested in helping me while hiking
What trail was this ? Thanks :)
Hi, how many minutes to climb to the top? Thanks.
I've been here it's so cool

+VisitNewMexico thanks so much! I'm going in 3 weeks and I'm so excited. Great video by the way!
It’s hiking it’s not like your sprinting up the mountains. My 75 year old dad could make it up and down with no water no problem.
We have this in Colorado and in Utah
New
Mexico is troubled..but o so beautiful

No dog? Sigh. I'll have to pass. Scratch this one off my list.
