The thing about Steve, is he keeps you interested by just talking. He's not condescending, he doesn't need to ramp up his tone, to make his content sound better. He just speaks directly to his audience. Great Video Steve, that 12 year old looks lethal. Definitely one to watch for the future.

Remember watching this live and 4 things stood out for me. 1 the kid was a star. 2 how well Rory drove, 3 the carnage in the midpack and further back. Some amateurs seemed out of their depth and just should not have been in the race. I lost count how many times Rory got taken out. And 4 your defence against a world class driver. Well done and thanks for this recap

That was so cute at the award ceremony, the little kid next to his partner made it look like the kid came in 3rd and his partner first because of their height differences haha.
GREAT VIDEO - GOOD STUFF
I saw where he made the mistake for him to lose second, he went wide on a certain corner and the 3rd guy didn't hesitate to squeeze into your left space but based on the pressure he was putting on you, there's not much you could do. I've always thought when cars and drivers are near evenly matched throughout the real challenge is in holding someone off, chasing and applying pressure is easy but maintaining on the other hand is a nightmare.

I know right prolly because car community isn’t that big (compared to others ofc) if it was on football for example with this much quality he would and should have been in the 10 mil
I feel like most people who play GT, iRacing or Assetto Corsa don't watch videos that much. Maybe only some tutorials and videos that teach you how to drive.
There are TH-camrs who have over million subs and make racing games content but they mostly make funny/crazy content (not gonna name those people) and that's what kids and young people watch mostly.

It's definitely different than playing in the comfort of your own home. I tried to block it all out as much as possible.
The harder thing is to get used to a slightly different wheel, Pedals and settings.
I refuse to believe a child beat multiple literal world champions that easily
same, no way 12 year old has the congitive function of adults. actually the congitive function of adults since maybe 6 since it would take some years to train to that level anyway
most kids in karting (rotax) i see try the sim and don't do that good due to their lack of being able to focus

Mate. Super GT. THE Goat! 2020 lockdown, I couldn't go out in my (slightly modified) 350Z to tear up the North Wales/Snowdonia tarmac. I started Googling SIMS. A mate raced iRacing. Me, years ago, played Gran Turismo. Stumbled upon your TH-cam Channel. Bought a PS 4 & GT Sport. Slowly upgraded. Now in a TrakRacer and Fanatec set up, PS 5 VR, and most of the time just do the Nordschleife! Driven it for real in my 350.
1: You changed my life. I'll never get the chance to drive these cars round the ring. But in GT7 VR I can. And you got me on this...thank you!
2: And more importantly. Watching you grow. Watching your development. Watching you RACE on the ring! Boi! And how great you are at commentary too.
You are an inspiration. A hero. Genuinely, a great watch. A great entertainer.

I feel like what GT is doing is what what tekken, Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat did to fighting games. How their tournament event brought people together and created long term fans. Cause Fighting games at the start where just small community type of games but it grew and now we have evo and many other local fighting games tournament

I once raced against 14 years old fastest sim driver Nikola Latkovski, for whole year in macedonian F1 championship. He later on went on to be one of the best Gran Turismo drivers.
