      Yes Baker is the exact QB and person the Bucs needed post Tom Brady. Baker fears nothing and is as confident as it gets and the man is absolutely balling out the last 2 seasons. Last season se set career highs in passing yards and TDs. This season has broken his personal best and raised his completion % to 71.1% the highest he's ever had and has his first 100+ QB rating and Baler has this offense humming right now. He's fun to be around and loves his teammates. Tampa loves Baker and us fans love him too. The fact that he's completely turned around his career now 2 years removed from shoulder surgery and 2 years removed from both the Browns and Panthers giving up on him shows he's just built different. Most QBs would have crumbled going through that last year in Cleveland and the 12 games in Carolina. When the Bucs first signed him I didn't know if it'd work out but I knew as a person he'd not only fit in but he'd become a leader.of the team and would get guys to play even harder for him. I love that he's a Buccaneer and my QB.

    Depending on your definition of "come back" I don't feel like Mayfield has "come back" from anything. He has always PLAYED well. He's simply escaped circumstances no QB could succeed in.

    They start to talk about Baker around the 9 minute mark(and then Darnald) Prior to that they only spent a few seconds on him with Fitz saying he wants to give them their flowers.

    Vikings offense this year has about 60 passes that went for 20 yards or more. That's crazy. If both sides of the ball are clicking at once they might be the most dangerous team in the playoffs.

    • @adrodelpedro

      That's what I've been saying all season. If the Vikings can play 4 quarters of consistent ball on both sides, they are a monster that (pardon my glaze) I don't see many or really any teams matching or being able to stop 'em.

    Just goes to show you that coaching and the front office matter in determining the success of an NFL QB.

  • @Chimp_Handzee

    Location, location, location. Everybody is so quick to point at these rookie/2nd year QBs who've been struggling, and label them busts because they weren't able to step into some dumpster fire of an organization & be the solution to all of their problems. The Jets are the first franchise that comes to mind. Complete Ineptitude across the board, from the ownership down. Poor management, poor coaching, the owners' teenage son is, apparently, somewhat involved in the management of the team, and his decisions are influenced via social media?? They clearly have no idea how to develop QBs, but rather than trying to figure out what the issue is & fixing it, they just keep drafting QBs & chucking em right into the fire! Where these rookie QBs end up landing is HUGE. If Darnold had been drafted into a good situation with a better franchise, would we have been seeing this version of him much sooner? Some of these franchises need to be gutted and reworked from the ground up, because some of them are legitimately career death sentences for these rookies right out of the gate.

    • @GoBucs-uw4ni
      @GoBucs-uw4ni หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Couldn't agree more. Your basically given like 1 to 2 years to be the savior of a trash franchise or you're labeled a bust and kicked to the curb. Who knows what a QB can do until they are in the right spot with the right people. I can speak first hand with Baker having balled out of his mind these last two years with us. You think Cleveland wishes they could go back and keep him and give him time? For sure. You think Pat Mahomes would be a 3 time Super Bowl champ as a Jet? Don't think so.

    • @Chimp_Handzee
      @Chimp_Handzee หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GoBucs-uw4ni Ah, but here's the thing about the whole "Cleveland wishes they could have him back" scenario: if they had brought him back, that would've meant bringing him back to an offensive system that he struggled in, because he didn't fit in that system, out the system didn't fit him, whatever. They bring him back & stick him right back into the system he struggled in, he's probably going to have the same struggles as before, so bringing him back & paying him all of that money was all for naught. Baker's a talented QB who fits into Tampa's offense, hence his "resurgence". Same goes for Darnold & Geno.

    • @DaveTMTMTL
      @DaveTMTMTL หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Chimp_Handzee Yep. Good HCs design their offense around the skill-set of their QB. Perennial losing organizations like Cleveland try to recreate their QB to fit the system they like.

    How is it that you only think you should start to pay attention to the Vikings if they win week 18? And that they might be good then? You've missed out on a dominant and entertaining season, and deprived others of the same.
