Great advice guys. I’m planning my journey as I have established my permanent residency. Now time to scout. Congratulations on reaching your 1k milestone. Best wishes to many more 🎉
Selfishly, I’m sad you moved away from Puerto Vallarta, as I watched another one of your videos and I decided we were going to be fast friends. I’m happy for you of course. Thank you for all your thoughts, I find it helpful. I’ll keep following you. God bless.
Yes puerto Vallarta is beautiful and the people are genuine. We will be returning to Mexico soon. My spirit was so calm and peaceful there, God bless. Getting a passport is easy yes tell your family to do that.
This is a very helpful video. My husband and I are currently in the process of moving to Chapala. We’ve covered several of your points but some of your points served as useful information. Thanks and keep the videos coming.
Great advice for everyone planning on moving abroad especially about renting an Air B&B for at least a few months. We planned on renting one for a few weeks or so but it sounds like we need to stay in one longer and truly take our time scouting out different neighborhoods and areas. Thank you for your tips! Happy Easter!
Very sage advice. I knew that you would mention your juicer, lol, glad that you have a replacement. It seems that you are both much happier in SMA, you both have friends that you spend time with which is fantastic! Yes, you should be proud of yourselves for making the move, it's not easy. All of life is a learning process and you get to do it in Mexico!
Thank you so much. In the spirit of getting to know people, my name is Jessie and I have my appointment for Temporary Resident VISA in two days. Thank you so much for all of you great energy and info.
@Jessiejoseph1093 It is a pleasure to meet you virtually. Congratulations on your temporary residency in advance! We appreciate you. Thank you for watching.
I miss my iron skillets. They're in storage. But I miss them and will be going back to the states this year to get them. Things definitely can be more expensive to replace. Honey misses her Vitamix. We are FAMILY!!! PERIOD ❤🎉🫶🏾
@Same here with permanent residency! I probably could have secured it the first time around; instead I got temporary residency. I’m heading back to Mexico in a few months to renew.
OH my Vitamix & Juice Extractor are BOTH COMING with me to Mexico!! If I have to PAY to ship it, I'm doing it. There is NO blender that's sold in Mex that matches the quality of Vitamix or Omega.
I agree with you totally. You can buy a Vitamix in Mexico at Costco but there is no need to re-buy one unless you're just trying to upgrade. You definitely want to hold on to your Juicer though :-)
You’ve literally touched on all the concerns on my mind, down to the iron skillets 😆😂😂. This was wonderful. Thank you! I am excited to make this happen for myself.
Again, great content!!! The advice about getting permanent residency I think we will take it! Since we won’t be retiring until next year, thinking about getting prior to retiring since we can show more income. We r coming from Northern California. So you have temporary residency now do you have to renew once a year?
Thank you so much. We have temporary residency and we would recommend starting the process early. We will be working on a Q&A video and we will revisit temporary residency on that video. Stay tuned! :-)
When you get your Residente Temporal it is initially only valid for one year but after that you have the option to renew for one, two or three more years. I would recommend renewing it for the full three years. The nice thing about initially getting a Temporary Resident Visa is that you can drive your foreign plated vehicle for up to four years with only a TIP, without having to go through the hassle or expense of importing it for thousands of dollars upon arrival. Really the only downside is that if you don't live here you have to travel back after a year to renew it. With a Permanent Resident Visa you could sell your car before coming down and purchasing a new car once you get here. The only problem with that is that you need to get your RFC before you would be able to purchase a car here and the process of getting your RFC can take months before even getting an appointment date. BTW- Check with the Consulate you are planning on going to, to find out if you will even qualify for a Permanent Resident Visa. Every Consulate is different and some require you to be a certain age and retired with a provable pension or SS meeting their requirements. Mucha suerte desde la hermosa Ensenada!
“Giving yourself grace” is so important for life in general. 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽

This is H. I listened to this for encouragement today. Thanks for your honesty and friendship

Truth truth truth!
Thank you family!
We had the same juicer dilemma lol
We wont be making that mistake again.
Wonderful advice, especially regarding the visas, had no idea you could apply for a permanent visa without first having a temporary visa!

"Look for like minded people." Ok, I’ll go ahead and say it, "not all skinfolk are kinfolk." Lol.
Well… 🤷🏽♀️
