I started off with sets of 40sec single bounce with 20 sec rest and see how many sets I could do. Little and often is the key till you can comfortably jump rope for longer periods. I have a long rest then practice new moves like he described

I tried to start back jump rope a year ago I could hardly walk for 3 days I frightened to try again
Start slow! You don’t need to do a lot when your first start!
