I don't understand how to flow on the beat I mean ik u explained what to do but I still don't undersrtand ppl listen to my songs and they always say I'm off beat I just don't understand😭😭😭
You may not actually be listening to the beat when you rap, for instance, when I use a metronome to keep time, during guitar practice, I oftentimes get off beat because I'm concentrating more on playing notes and not concentrating on keeping time. When rapping and singing I use the kick drum to stay on beat, for instance, on some songs I come in just before the 1 or sometimes I come in just after the 1, Boom, I was walking down the street, Boom, just rapping to the beat, Boom, new kicks on my feet, Boom, man my life is sweet. But periodically, to keep time, my lyrics will land on the beat instead of coming in just after the beat. To do this, you may also need to add or subtract words/syllables to land properly. I know I'm late, but still, I Hope this can help someone in some way.
