While I can unherstand his contract term. Announcing that Valtteri would part ways with Mercedes after 2021 so early in the season are their biggest mistake
Funny, I really don't remember a specific team order (other than this one) in the 2021 season for Bottas. Remember much more from the Vettel Ferrari era.
The team orders in 2021 more were forcing Bottas to take engine penalty after engine penalty, they were stress testing an engine to give hamilton an advantage in the final 4 races. Also, for most of the season Max and Lewis were so far ahead that team orders just didn't matter, no other drivers that year really ever looked to be winning a race on merit.
I love what this video points out. Bottas was always there to give position to Hamilton. Verstappen fought most races on his own that year, Perez was hardly a help by moving over and giving points away
For me, the proof that Bottas would not help Hamilton for the championship was in Spain, Verstappen and Hamilton had stopped in the pits and returned behind Bottas (who had not entered the pits yet), Verstappen overtook without resistance, but Hamilton was held back for a few corners and Bottas could have simply gotten out of the way. In return, he secured the constructors for Mercedes
Bottas got done dirty in '21, the amount of team orders, having to give up wins and positions, being screwed over in strategy and sacrificing his race to stay out to block Verstappen and then be the engine guinea pig for Lewis by having to take penalties every other weekend or so.
First thing is why they pitted him on soft if he is not going for fastest lap, his tyres would make it to the end and he is 3rd anyways. Second thing is Valtteri at the final sector aborted his fastest lap but he was so fast in first two that he got it anyway... but at the end Lewis pitted for softs and got that fastest anyway so all of this stories are just for fun...
For better clarification, could you please make a video on how many times Bottas recieved team orders to assist Hamilton in his championship fights. Because you said *MANY* and I only know of 2.
I think the surprise is mostly the fact that the most successful driver in history needed all the help he could get from the current Kick driver race after race to stay competitive in the championship, but hey I'm just guessing here 🤔

The funniest thing is we saw a similar situation happen played out earlier that season when RB literally boxed Perez at Silverstone with the intention of taking fastest lap point away for Lewis which he duly did or later that season in Qatar when Max boxed for the fastest lap point The only reason Bottas was boxed was because the delta from him to Lewis pre stops wasn’t big enough for Lewis to box and get back ahead of Bottas it wasn’t for him to get the fastest lap
For real, wonder if these same people had an issue with Red Bull pitting Perez from P10 in the final laps of Silverstone in order to take the FL point off of Lewis. That's arguably even worse because Sergio didn't even get that point, as you only get the point for fastest lap if you actually finish in the top 10. So RB clearly decided actively taking a point off of Sergio was worth it so that the point didn't go to Lewis, therefore benefitting Max. While I can unherstand his contract term. Announcing that Valtteri would part ways with Mercedes after 2021 so early in the season are their biggest mistake
Funny, I really don't remember a specific team order (other than this one) in the 2021 season for Bottas. Remember much more from the Vettel Ferrari era.
shhhhh the fake faux new fuck head fans will hear you!
yeah, they used him as a guinea pig in 2021 instead of constantly giving him team orders i think.
Funny, i've seen this vid first on here, now the official F1 Channel posts a video about it...
Intense team order and yet got knocked out.
If he did not lift in the last corner he would have taken it.
Times when the Merc made you hit fastest lap without even trying
Bottas got done dirty in '21, the amount of team orders, having to give up wins and positions, being screwed over in strategy and sacrificing his race to stay out to block Verstappen and then be the engine guinea pig for Lewis by having to take penalties every other weekend or so.
That car was a weapon
After playing F1 Manager 1:20 pretty much felt like home lol
First thing is why they pitted him on soft if he is not going for fastest lap, his tyres would make it to the end and he is 3rd anyways. Second thing is Valtteri at the final sector aborted his fastest lap but he was so fast in first two that he got it anyway... but at the end Lewis pitted for softs and got that fastest anyway so all of this stories are just for fun...
Bring 2nd driver was not meant to be a team game unless they understand how driver feel after being ordered too much
And that is why we the Dutch love Valteri :-)
Of course, Max is a Dutch personality, but Lewis is a world one!
@@alntdi1 what a gay comment
Im taking my popcorn and going to comments section to see what the experts’ opinion on who is the best driver, best wingman and best car

Bottas helped Max. :D
James, it's Valtteri, I'm just playing
"Valtteri, it's James...."
What an skill issue in Equal Machinery
For better clarification, could you please make a video on how many times Bottas recieved team orders to assist Hamilton in his championship fights. Because you said *MANY* and I only know of 2.
Amazing data from sector dividing
When Rosberg retired, the championship winning seat was the best that nobody wanted.
Btw, who gets Lulu’s seat for next year? Still no decision? I don’t have access to the net 😢
LOL What are you on? Everybody wanted that seat. All the contracts were already signed. Mercedes was able to get Bottas because he was at Williams
@@mikaelbiilmann6826some rookie moron who crashed two laps into his f1 career
If it was my karting arena, they'd just cap the speed to stop the fastest lap attempt.
Bot: I need that seat!
Audi: That’s not my problem
Love Valtteri...BIG MISTAKE GETTING HIM GONE THIS YEAR!!!!!
this comment section is hilarious. like oh wow mercedes is helping the better positioned driver in the championship what a surprise 😂
@@muenchenistrot2702 ever since max fans haven’t won a race have been little unstable.
I think the surprise is mostly the fact that the most successful driver in history needed all the help he could get from the current Kick driver race after race to stay competitive in the championship, but hey I'm just guessing here 🤔
@@19anilamin a championship every point matters see 1994/1997/98/99/2003/2007/2008/2010/2012/2016/2021 to literally name just a few
Bottas had no purpose taking a faster lap point in this situation. The funniest thing is we saw a similar situation happen played out earlier that season when RB literally boxed Perez at Silverstone with the intention of taking fastest lap point away for Lewis which he duly did or later that season in Qatar when Max boxed for the fastest lap point
The only reason Bottas was boxed was because the delta from him to Lewis pre stops wasn’t big enough for Lewis to box and get back ahead of Bottas it wasn’t for him to get the fastest lap
That'll probably just be logical championship management though lol.
@@rvfharrier I even forgot Checo was in the points when they boxed him they literally took away points from him to reduce Lewis points by grabbing the fastest lap and I don’t disagree with the logic here for RB it was the correct decision to do so
But you know people biases will make them say anything Mercedes does is bad
That happens when you re #2 of the team. But still very well paid
If he wouldn't have lifted in s3, he made a very good chance to get that fastest lap. Shame he didn't say "fuck you" and went for it fully.
Haha! He loves de Aussie lifeshtyle!
I come from an athletics background. Nibody ever gets told to slow down to let a teammate win. This stuff made F1 hard to get into
Which would have been the time if Bottas didn't lift?
1:11...?
yet lulu fans think Lulu did it all by himself. Lulu is the Greatest Bottler of all Time
Wow, rent free in ur head ain’t he
keep crying cheaters. lets not get started on shitty teams.
And the most succesful driver oat
Yeah cause we never seen Checo backing Hamilton so Max can get closer to him. Oh wait....
How about your fraudulent neweymerchant who needs illegal car to win all championships. Wait till you see him this weekend being nothing with a legal car
Merc not being straightforward as always.
Mercedes won constructor title many years with performance of Valtteri.
Money....
Its not about finding out the fastest driver, its about how they can sponsor the next gillette face.
If racing in the formular 1 was about finding out whos the fastest, they would all have the same car
Toto never forgave Bottas for this show of such insolence, he consigned him to racing go karts in mongolia for the rest of his career.
those were mini sectors
not being fast is a different, not being able to gather the team around you is anotther thing ..
Ham is an as whole spoiled child
I always wondered what if rb just faked the pitstop at the end there, if so Mercedes would hesitate and abort the fl attempt maybe or just pitted anyways, it would be funny but so cool and clever to see a team nowadays fake that so another team or driver doesn't get the fl point
Mercedes, Mclaren and RB are weird. The other teams probably too, but those teams are really good at screwing one person on their team at any moment in time. Ferrari screws both so they get a pass.
hamilton is not faster than you...but we want him to be so please slow down. confirm you understand this message
Iceman: Enough, Finnish don't take orders.
Still he lost the championship.
cant beat cheating
It looked he was securing the fastest lap if lewis ever have an unwanted incident. To make sure that maybe perez wont steal it?
Lol are you serious? He was literally doing it to fk with Lewis. Everyone who drives with Lewis hates him, he's a scumbag and a HORRIBLE teammate.
Lewis smoked that fastest lap in every sector, when lewis and max were locked in a titanikc battle i personally believe the second drivers made a difference particularly perez in abu dhabi and bottas being shit in races like this in the first stint, portugal and more
bottas is super fast, arguably faster than hamilton in 1 lap, but thats about it. he's race pace and race craft is not at hamilton's level. also he's too nice and docile against the other drivers.
Dang, if only. Imagine if Bottas got that FL and it would have cost Hamilton at the end of the year...
James: Valteri, it's me. I'm gay and I piss and shit all over myself.
Hamilton goes to Ferrari, Bottas to Indycar
Imagine if lewis hadn't gotten this fastest lap and lost by 1 point lol
They gotta bring back these graphics. I didn't even realize how bad it looks now compared to this. Wtf
I joined F1 in 2020 so James was this villain figure who would interfere with Bottas's performances, now seeing the man run Williams this hits differently.
That said, the tone in which he issues this order is remarkable. Such confidence and calmness, I think many wouldn't even think of disobeying it.
Sounds like bullying.
@@FEARYOYOYO Stop projecting.
