Fun fact, Zuho had sold his equipment and said that he was done composing music.
He felt like his fans were tired of his style of music.
Fantasy told him that we support him and that we love his music.
Puzzle was the first song that he wrote coming back. He was very nervous to share it with us and thought we weren't going to like it.
It has now won trophies is still kicking butt. It even reached #2 on the Billboard top 20 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
And yes you know you love SF9! They are my life
I only see writing credit for this, tho? Not composing or production. So I assume that meant lyrics.
@@spectral__ It's in the official tracklist and was mentioned in the video too, Zuho is the lead composer for Puzzle.
@@osolehwio Weird. On the wiki it only lists him as the writer. I guess they mean composer? But writer and composer mean two different things. I guess it's poor translation, then.
He's a very good composer then and it's unfortunate he didn't feel that way. I've liked almost all of SF9's title tracks.
@@spectral__ This song is produced by Zuho and he write also the lyrics. Zuho named 주호 already in the top of composser of this track. He said himself that he amke distribution of vocals fairly so make all members in the center so they can shine together.

And yes, it's unfortunate that he fell into a slump because he felt that his music wasn't good enough but thankfully he was able to do his first title track and it's amazing!
Zuho's dream as a composer is to be able to make a song that would automatically be recognized as "that's SF9" and you knowing right away that it's a Zuho song must be a big compliment to him. 🥰

Inseong and Youngbin are still in service for the military. The lore is that both as agents are away for a mission that made them unable to join the team in this Puzzle mission.
The whole album is actually a no-skip.
So in January I have two no-skip albums back to back in my playlist: SF9 and Monsta X.
SF9 matured so well!
Considering Zuho decided to gave up on making songs last year, and then coming back to this was a big win through and through.
Also having Rowoon promoting with the boys!
2023 started with a bang!

The good thing about Zuho producing the song, is that he knows his members very well and set out to bring out the best in all of them. Besides, the album is too good. SF9 always tries to outdo themselves and this time they did it!

this is zuho's first composed title song! he said that he tried his best to make all members shine equally, not just based on line distribution, but also based on all other aspects. [ex. rowoon's emotion delivery]

PD, SF9 is a 3rd gen group, as you know. The members range from 93'liners to 00'liners. In other words, some of the members have to serve in the military already.
Youngbin and Inseong ( both 1993) are currently in the military.
The rest in age are: Jaeyoon ( 1994 ), Dawon ( 1995 ), Zuho and Rowoon ( 1996 ), Yoo Taeyang ( 1997 ), Hwiyoung ( 1999), and Chani (2000).
This group will have members going in and out of the military for a while.
For the choreography, it's very much like their "Now Or Never" era + a b-side at that time, "Unlimited"
Inseong and Youngbin are still both enlisted and will finish their military service in September. Zuho wrote and composed Puzzle, he wanted each member to shine and he accomplished that 1000% he made a masterpiece. Thank you so much for your reaction, I was looking forward to it!
i hope more people will appreciate sf9 music and realize that they have this signature sound. when you listen to sf9 song blindly, you will directly know that this is sf9's. i love that sf9 really embrace their "kpop" sound but still manage to make it trendy in this westernized music industry.
SF9 never misses with their music video's and choreography that you're really enjoying seeing them just perform an excellent job in the chorus

I stumbled upon Puzzle, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I think it is commendable that SF9 took what seems like a simple or familiar sound and made it so enjoyable. It is not that easy to do and, frankly, seems quite brave in an environment where fans in general seem to be obsessed with novelty and what's popular. I also appreciate that the concept is mature without being rude. Such a sweet balance. Puzzle is playlist for me.

I watched every single live stage of this song, too. I couldn't get enough of the choreo and their live vocals. Esp Dawon's adlibs and the extra oomph he put into his lines.

I looooove Love Colour so much - it's a perfect "leave it on loop in the background but not be too distracted from work" song for me! Also added it to my "SF9 songs with the word 'Love' in the title" list 😂

Also, totally agree. Getting into their B sides is a game changer. Puzzle is also so different from their other songs cause it has an almost equal line distribution, and its not often that you'll see the rappers, esp for Zuho, to take centre during the chorus of their songs

I also have the same opinion as you, this mv is also like the fusion of their earlier era with their newer one. For musicality and concept-wise, it has similar vibes with their more recent era (sexy, mature, classy) but in terms of dancing, it reminds me a lot of their debut era (faster dance and more complicated steps) ---which I LIKE!!! This is one of their best eras in my opinion, especially since it's Zuho's first title track!!!
