In this video I modify a muffler for a friend. I decide to cut the baffle in half and weld the muffler back together. Got to be careful with this thin metal.
George, I have a fairly new 620P Echo with a 27” bar. I’m wanting to open the muffler up a little so it can breath a little better, but I was wondering if I’ll have to have the carb readjusted……
Good informative video. Your so very right the metal on those Stihl mufflers are very thin metal.

o yeah. almost annoyingly so. lost like 15 minutes of runtime but its got da powa

I would think it would work. I can't remember If I've ever done one. Just make sure to still have enough back pressure for compression
No really a beginner mod - I’m sure it feels easy for someone like yourself .
This method isn’t for beginners in my opinion. I have seen easier.
