A lot of people are complaining about how giving away this info to the public is "contributing to the problem" when these people are the very ones who plan to make use of such info to their advantage. How about leveling the field so everyone gets a fair start?
AA is a very competitive "dog-eat-dog" kind of game. Catering to those who lack knowledge is not the fault of the community nor should it ever be. The notion that we are all winners just doesn't exist here; You fight for what you want or fall behind and its that philosophy that the game brings that makes it so popular. Honestly there are many other games that cater to "we are all winners" mentality.

Land availability is what made me leave Archeage not soon after launch. To progress, you needed land, but even as a early adopter and subscriber didnt mean jack squat to be able to acquire land even 1 day after it unlocked due to greedy power leveling few. 90% of the land was owned by 5% of the population. So I could not progress unless I played it instead of my job. I am hoping they fixed this this time.
One thing you missed is there are 3 different types of 16x16 house designs for 15 guilda stars in mirage and new players should go with the one that requires 2 stone packs and 1 lumber pack, as opposed to the one with 2 lumber and 1 stone. Stone packs are much easier to get than lumber packs for finishing your house untill it's time to upgrade.
i really do hope not too many adopts the policy of "take as much land as possible by placing awkwardly", effectively if everyone were to do that it would halve available housing area which kills more of the population imo
it's apart of the game, can't be avoided. Literally everyone will be doing this because having two 16x16 plots is not what people are pursuing land for. People are going to be placing down those plots so that they can re-arrange them later to place down larger designs like a 44x44 mansion. The only way to do this is to take up as much space as possible. Also land has value, the larger the area you take, the more your land is worth. People even buy/sell land, literally realtors in this game. It's all apart of that sandbox!
dont worry they will add extra servers if that hapen.....and some ppl will emo left after 1 st month so there will be enough land, im sure becose i played at start of that game and i know how things work, just keep your own pace and dont stress to much ... ppl forget what grind fest actualy that game is and will burn fast after month or two.

One thing that you don't make clear in your video is: why to do this? What is the benefit? You explain how to take up the most space, but never the purpose of doing so. As an ArcheAge noob, I found it interesting, but I am left wondering what the point of this video is.
Mostly to be able to have enough space to be able to maximize how much you can have on your private farm. If you ever decided to upgrade to a larger house or anything, the less room you have, the harder it is to do much with your plot of land outside of mostly just decorating the inside. A lot of crops and animals used in stuff you need to make money or craft items take up tons of room. You're either going to try to get this stuff yourself or be at the mercy of the auction house prices.
People are going to be assholes no matter what. Hell, on Auroria, land is owned by a player and can be taxed according to the owner. So, guild members of the owner usually get a benefit, but non-guild members tend to be charged at the max. which usually can't be afforded. This is a good video to get a modest amount of land you'd at least want to have to play this game without needing multiple plots of land to make gold and get materials you can only get from farming and such. I've played this when it first came out and became heavily PTW. You'd realize very quickly that this game isn't meant to be "fair" like WoW or FF14. You carve out how you want to establish yourself by a lot of underhanded tactics (Ex: Killing same faction players to steal their trade packs and turn them in) that make things better for you. You have to be an asshole, or you just won't last long. Simple.

What I want to tell you though is that your taxes will be higher if you place property on enemy zone (if you are Nuian and place in Haranya) , keep that in mind:) good luck!
You get 50 certs from doing the 16x16 quest for a total of 65 (other 15 from 8x8 quest) pre-scarecrow availablity. Upgrade the 8x8 and get a 200 gilda house or 300 gilda thatched if you can manage it. Then drop the initial 16x16 with 30 certs, build it, craft certs, then drop the other 16x16 and a 24x24. Two 16's and a 24 is better than an 8, 16, and 24.

People on here complaining, they fail to realize a lot of the playerbase will most likely be returning players or veteran players, player who will absolutely do this because that IS human nature. People will take advantage of the mechanics of a game.. duh.. that's why dev's have to do balancing patches, because that's how it is. Is it worth upgrading the 8x8 for the land rush if you already have the 16x16 from the lv 50 quest? You can place the lv 50 16x16 and complete it with the quest tax certs, and then make the tax certs for the upgraded 8x8 after that. The only reason I don't see this working is if it takes a lot longer to complete a 16x16 farm compared to the 8x8 garden farm. Anyone have any thoughts?
So is there any point in playing this game at all, if we end up missing the Land Rush, or not carrying it out perfectly as outlined in this video? I have never played this in the past, so I don't know much about it. People seem to be upset that this information is available, leading me to believe that people who follow this plan will have some sort of advantage or end up with more resources than is "fair" to have. So does that mean the game essentially leaves you in the dust if you're not able to follow this 100% or start playing later?
I'm a returning vet; at launch whoever got housing first got a big advantage and it was a huge priority. This time it seems like it will be less advantageous, because of the changes to labor and the new areas you can place land on (tbh there's a shit ton more land now). I'm assuming it will still give you a small advantage though, otherwise there wouldn't be a point to housing and the land rush. People are probably worried since the land rush on original launch was INSANE.
That is the beauty of a sand box in that it represents reality to a good degree. Like If you have a good idea but someone else had the same one but capitalized first, is that your fault? No, and just like in reality you have to chuck up to that fact and either fade away or find another avenue to achieve your means. Pre P2W A.A. (up to 3 weeks after launch) was such a unique experience of "SandBox" that I'll never forget it. If you missed out on land, others will soon sell later, seeking to move their own holdings or make new fortunes. Not owning land does not mean not making money either. Questing, repeatable, and actual item farming for consumables and auction are all fair game. . . and of course if the life of a lawful person is not the calling... you can make your fortune by taking others (perhaps some solo picking on unprepared merchant travelers or proper ambushes with a group) as a pirate on land or sea. The game has everything, and these same questions were asked the first launch of the game. I'd EASILY say, that if the game is true to its advertisement and that no P2W aspects will be introduced ..."Better late then never". Personally, I'll be coming in late due to when I get paid, but I'm ready for the challenge of being behind and know what's beyond just "owning land".

Why would you want to leave spaces between your plots like you showed? Seems like wasted space. If everyone does that, it would mean 30% less people get land as a result. Seems rather mean? The land in between your plots you can't even farm cause dirty up-rooters will come along and pull up your crops anyways. So what are the possible advantages of this?
itt's for when you want to replace your properties. Lets say you and your guildmates want to put tdown a 44x44 mansion, by occupying the most amount of space you can eventually replace your current properties with a bigger structure. Also if you want to sell your land, having that extra space around you pretty much belongs to you b/c no one can use it unless you remove your thing...this brings up the land value for you so you can sell it at a higher price. Buyers look for that stuff b/c they plan on putting down larger properties that require more space.

You get tax certs from the quests when u get ur designs right? 15 from 8x8 and 50 from 16x16. With this you can upgrade the 8x8 to a another 16x16, and 2 16x16s will cost 60 tax certs, and you should have 65 from those 2 quests. Does this make sense?
With the new added zones, will we still run out of space to build houses after a while? I'm new to Archeage and the housing sounds interesting but I don't feel like doing all the stuff you mentioned in the video, I just want to do it on my time :)
He said in other linked video, realistically you will have 130 from queen quests and realistic launch easy to do achievements. Then you can get 40 a day from dailies, which he also links in the description of that same video.
Landrush wont be a thing tbh on Unchained...you have 4 days to do the quests for your farms and saving up Gildas for Houses, planting trees and stuff on empty Housing Spots dont work for Land saving because anyone with a Blueprint can place on that and Trees and stuff on unprotected Land despawns, you can only place 2 unfinished Buildings with your Account and additional accounts are forbidden except they are registered and linked with your main account up to 2 more....
A lot people say whales will buy many accounts and then make many alts. As a older gamer the ideal of buying 20 alts worth of accounts for one game just sounds stupid but i imagine there will be someone willing to do it

you might want to demolish and replace with a larger design later, and you wouldnt want to pin yourself into a corner with no room to expand because once someone moves in beside you, they will never move for you.

Can anyone clarify. Can you have 2 unbuilt properties per account or per character? If I heard correctly each account gives you 3 characters. Does that add up to a total of 6 unbuilt structures, or since they are all the same account I still will only get 2 unbuilt.
The "Swept-Roof Chalet" design kind of looks like it has space for a couple plants because the space taken up by the actual building is thinner? The chalet would be better then the manor if that is the case. I would also like to hear more about benefits of different zones because I've done a lot of research and it looks like the only relevant housing zone in all of west continent is the southern part of two crowns, because that's where cargo lives, and it's also the closest beach to the cargo hand in over at east which matters because cargo delivery is timed. Aside from that it's like what even matters because every zone is temperate so you can grow the same shit the same way and make the same stuff regardless of where you place your house and there's no other factors in housing location as far as I can tell.
Do you have a breakdown of what I need to do to be ready to claim land from launch day to the second i can actually claim land. Also, isn’t it in our best interest as a faction to maximize the amount of property we can fit in any zone.

trade packs are not dependent on land anymore unless you're making larders. If you're making larders then you have to factor time in it as well. Would you rather take longer and make more gold or less gold but faster runs? Regardless, for regular packs, you don't need land anywhere.

Their land is wasted and cant be used by others or will it dissapear when they dont pay tax or whatever? It will eventually be taken from the players who don't use the land, they have to pay a tax that i believe is weekly and then the plot cant be destroyed and taken by other players basically. Also people will constantly be selling land or should be in theory.

@@adiq89 of course you are going to be at a disadvantage in those a highly competitive 1v1 with the best min/max ing possible. If you are going for world pvp and group pvp ( which is more fun tbf) your ping should not be that much of a problem. Also 1v1 arena is nothing but for bragging rights and a luxury for those with too much time. You should understand that with that kind of ping you vant easily compete there

Im pretty sure there will be enough land for everyone. Doing this way you have your propertys close to each other. Otherwise you would take place somewhere else.

thats why they give 4day block on houses, so everybody can get at least a house. which is 15 gilda i can farm it in 10minutes of play... i think that 99% people will get chance to get house because of limited labor for land certificate :)

There are special area just for large houses. Certain map has these area called "Luxurious Housing Area" or something similar to that. These housing area only allows tier 3 or above house plans, so no farms, 8x8 house or 16x16 houses（in addition, because farmhouse is considered a farm mixing with house, it is still tier 2 despite taking 24x24, thus it cannot be put in luxurious housing area）.
@@derekchen6430 you can set teleport points on your house, that's why some ppl like land on islands. You can teleport into the ocian and may catch someone mid travel with valuable packs. Each region has a climate (tropic, regular,...) which can speed up grow time for specific plants. Some regions are in permanent peace and some rotate into war. In war you can attack or get attacked by other players
All aurora housing zones rotate into war from time to time and you can't start larder runs from there, else aurora land is the same. You might see more pvp there because both alliances like place their houses there
@@AbsolemLNG Lets say you place a 16x16 house and an 8x8 farming land next to it. That said, the space between the house and farm is essentially about 6x6 that means no other player can place an 8x8 within that space. This means that if you'd like to upgrade your 8x8 plot of land to a 16x16, then you should have the space to do so. In short, all this is for is to prevent other players from taking up too much space near your house, etc. If they do... then you don't have much room (or none at all) to grow in the future.

Many people will waste space "stupidly" so they can demolish some stuff later and set down bigger houses/farms. And yeah that´s what aa is about... sabotaging and killing each other. don´t get me wrong, I still like this game.
Climate, distance to NPCs, distance to speciality crafter, distance to public farm, distance to possible illegal farm places, distance from sea, view, etc. These are the ones I can think of.

I don't understand the point of having extra grass that serves no purpose. Am I missing something? It seems like a lot of time to spend in the video for personal preference.
The idea behind that is to allow you to place larger structures later on when you upgrade your placed plots, though it can be hard to do it can definitely allow you to end up with more land than if you didn't spread out as much as possible. Also if you want to have your guild own land near you then taking up as much place as possible to later re-arrange to fill in that space will net you more land than if you only took as little as possible. Note that it's a fairly long-term plan though and might take a while to give you payoff, it does have a secondary global negative effect which is a lot of "dead" land between structures because you likely won't end up filling it fully depending on what people claim nearby.

It's easier than ever to get into. Watching this video and the one he linked in it and just doing what that says will most likely allow you to at least place land. After that you have a bit of breather to learn more. But you will have already learned how to level and upgrade your gear into Hiram which is what you will continue to upgrade from there on out. The skill system is set up to allow you to level all the skills, so even if you don't like a skill set later on, you can just level one that fits better. Also, even the Archeage vets are coming and researching the information in videos like this and playing on test (which opens to all today) to get a feel for it.
Did you ever explain WHY you want to take up as much space as possible? Even if you can't build anything in it? It seems like you're just reducing land for no gain other than aesthetic

Spend 30 gilda stars to buy 2 cottage plots. With that 8x8 you put down first you are secured to have 2 farms of 16x16 when you complete the objectives later on. My lady and i have 3 accounts in total and will rush for a nice spot and secure as much land as we can with 3x 8x8 and 6 16x16 wich we will later on transform into a gazebo and thatched farmhoyse with some room left. Be smart and do not go to Gweonid if you play West as that will be a complete clusterfuck.
Why does it matter if you have all the space between your structures,,, it seems like yours just trying to ruin the amount of players who get to have structures... is it just so you can potentially demo whats there and rebuild larger structures in the space in the future???

You get Gilda Stars from doing GREEN main story quests.. I played for about 7 hours yesterday and I have about 65 Gilda. You can also get Gilda Stars if you activate the Arch Pass in game for 1 copper and then upgrade it in game for 10 Gold. To get All the Gilda to make 3 plots will be a stretch for a lot of people I am going to shoot for 200 and just try to get 2 plots.
i agree with those who say this is greedy. yea you say everyone is going to do it and a lot of people might stop playing because they will have no land. but i guess you guys rather play on your big houses and a lot of space in a dead game than have a normal house/space in an active/alive game.
Even on a dead Server land is rare so thats that. Also people dont have to do this. But how much land will be sold when there will be less demos since noone canon run out of patron. If you plan to get a 24x24 but dont get At least 200 gilda stars by saturday youll likely be stuck with 16x16 for a long time. Either prepare yourself or deal with it. Also there is a Limit of 2 unbuilt properties per account. So thats that.

I see you've discussed this below. It seems people do this in order to upgrade to larger plots down the road. Wish they could have arranged a less anti-social system for this.
The devs have been making mentions of changes to the build system for unchained such as limiting the number of blueprints you can place down at once and adding a larger tax requirement

There's a lot of people who you will see in-game that are like myself who have played the game but are far from being considered 'vets'. A lot of people are complaining about how giving away this info to the public is "contributing to the problem" when these people are the very ones who plan to make use of such info to their advantage. How about leveling the field so everyone gets a fair start?
AA is a very competitive "dog-eat-dog" kind of game. Catering to those who lack knowledge is not the fault of the community nor should it ever be. The notion that we are all winners just doesn't exist here; You fight for what you want or fall behind and its that philosophy that the game brings that makes it so popular. Honestly there are many other games that cater to "we are all winners" mentality.

Land availability is what made me leave Archeage not soon after launch. To progress, you needed land, but even as a early adopter and subscriber didnt mean jack squat to be able to acquire land even 1 day after it unlocked due to greedy power leveling few. 90% of the land was owned by 5% of the population. So I could not progress unless I played it instead of my job. I am hoping they fixed this this time.
One thing you missed is there are 3 different types of 16x16 house designs for 15 guilda stars in mirage and new players should go with the one that requires 2 stone packs and 1 lumber pack, as opposed to the one with 2 lumber and 1 stone. Stone packs are much easier to get than lumber packs for finishing your house untill it's time to upgrade.

i really do hope not too many adopts the policy of "take as much land as possible by placing awkwardly", effectively if everyone were to do that it would halve available housing area which kills more of the population imo
it's apart of the game, can't be avoided. Literally everyone will be doing this because having two 16x16 plots is not what people are pursuing land for. People are going to be placing down those plots so that they can re-arrange them later to place down larger designs like a 44x44 mansion. The only way to do this is to take up as much space as possible. Also land has value, the larger the area you take, the more your land is worth. People even buy/sell land, literally realtors in this game. It's all apart of that sandbox!
dont worry they will add extra servers if that hapen.....and some ppl will emo left after 1 st month so there will be enough land, im sure becose i played at start of that game and i know how things work, just keep your own pace and dont stress to much ... ppl forget what grind fest actualy that game is and will burn fast after month or two.

As an ArcheAge noob, I found it interesting, but I am left wondering what the point of this video is.
Mostly to be able to have enough space to be able to maximize how much you can have on your private farm. If you ever decided to upgrade to a larger house or anything, the less room you have, the harder it is to do much with your plot of land outside of mostly just decorating the inside. A lot of crops and animals used in stuff you need to make money or craft items take up tons of room. You're either going to try to get this stuff yourself or be at the mercy of the auction house prices.
So lets teach more players to be a$$holes
People are going to be assholes no matter what. Hell, on Auroria, land is owned by a player and can be taxed according to the owner. So, guild members of the owner usually get a benefit, but non-guild members tend to be charged at the max. which usually can't be afforded. This is a good video to get a modest amount of land you'd at least want to have to play this game without needing multiple plots of land to make gold and get materials you can only get from farming and such. I've played this when it first came out and became heavily PTW. You'd realize very quickly that this game isn't meant to be "fair" like WoW or FF14. You carve out how you want to establish yourself by a lot of underhanded tactics (Ex: Killing same faction players to steal their trade packs and turn them in) that make things better for you. You have to be an asshole, or you just won't last long. Simple.

What I want to tell you though is that your taxes will be higher if you place property on enemy zone (if you are Nuian and place in Haranya) , keep that in mind:) good luck!
You get 50 certs from doing the 16x16 quest for a total of 65 (other 15 from 8x8 quest) pre-scarecrow availablity. Upgrade the 8x8 and get a 200 gilda house or 300 gilda thatched if you can manage it. Then drop the initial 16x16 with 30 certs, build it, craft certs, then drop the other 16x16 and a 24x24. Two 16's and a 24 is better than an 8, 16, and 24.

People on here complaining, they fail to realize a lot of the playerbase will most likely be returning players or veteran players, player who will absolutely do this because that IS human nature. People will take advantage of the mechanics of a game.. duh.. that's why dev's have to do balancing patches, because that's how it is. Is it worth upgrading the 8x8 for the land rush if you already have the 16x16 from the lv 50 quest? You can place the lv 50 16x16 and complete it with the quest tax certs, and then make the tax certs for the upgraded 8x8 after that. The only reason I don't see this working is if it takes a lot longer to complete a 16x16 farm compared to the 8x8 garden farm. Anyone have any thoughts?

So is there any point in playing this game at all, if we end up missing the Land Rush, or not carrying it out perfectly as outlined in this video? I have never played this in the past, so I don't know much about it. People seem to be upset that this information is available, leading me to believe that people who follow this plan will have some sort of advantage or end up with more resources than is "fair" to have. So does that mean the game essentially leaves you in the dust if you're not able to follow this 100% or start playing later?
I'm a returning vet; at launch whoever got housing first got a big advantage and it was a huge priority. This time it seems like it will be less advantageous, because of the changes to labor and the new areas you can place land on (tbh there's a shit ton more land now). I'm assuming it will still give you a small advantage though, otherwise there wouldn't be a point to housing and the land rush. People are probably worried since the land rush on original launch was INSANE.

That is the beauty of a sand box in that it represents reality to a good degree. Like If you have a good idea but someone else had the same one but capitalized first, is that your fault? No, and just like in reality you have to chuck up to that fact and either fade away or find another avenue to achieve your means. Pre P2W A.A. (up to 3 weeks after launch) was such a unique experience of "SandBox" that I'll never forget it. If you missed out on land, others will soon sell later, seeking to move their own holdings or make new fortunes. Not owning land does not mean not making money either. Questing, repeatable, and actual item farming for consumables and auction are all fair game. . . and of course if the life of a lawful person is not the calling... you can make your fortune by taking others (perhaps some solo picking on unprepared merchant travelers or proper ambushes with a group) as a pirate on land or sea.
The game has everything, and these same questions were asked the first launch of the game. I'd EASILY say, that if the game is true to its advertisement and that no P2W aspects will be introduced ..."Better late then never". Personally, I'll be coming in late due to when I get paid, but I'm ready for the challenge of being behind and know what's beyond just "owning land".

Why would you want to leave spaces between your plots like you showed? Seems like wasted space. If everyone does that, it would mean 30% less people get land as a result. Seems rather mean? The land in between your plots you can't even farm cause dirty up-rooters will come along and pull up your crops anyways. So what are the possible advantages of this?
itt's for when you want to replace your properties. Lets say you and your guildmates want to put tdown a 44x44 mansion, by occupying the most amount of space you can eventually replace your current properties with a bigger structure. Also if you want to sell your land, having that extra space around you pretty much belongs to you b/c no one can use it unless you remove your thing...this brings up the land value for you so you can sell it at a higher price. Buyers look for that stuff b/c they plan on putting down larger properties that require more space.

You get tax certs from the quests when u get ur designs right? 15 from 8x8 and 50 from 16x16. With this you can upgrade the 8x8 to a another 16x16, and 2 16x16s will cost 60 tax certs, and you should have 65 from those 2 quests. Does this make sense?
With the new added zones, will we still run out of space to build houses after a while? I'm new to Archeage and the housing sounds interesting but I don't feel like doing all the stuff you mentioned in the video, I just want to do it on my time :)
We wont. On top of that people sell land. I always got the plots I wanted by simply being patient and earning the gold I needed.

He said in other linked video, realistically you will have 130 from queen quests and realistic launch easy to do achievements. Then you can get 40 a day from dailies, which he also links in the description of that same video.
Landrush wont be a thing tbh on Unchained...you have 4 days to do the quests for your farms and saving up Gildas for Houses, planting trees and stuff on empty Housing Spots dont work for Land saving because anyone with a Blueprint can place on that and Trees and stuff on unprotected Land despawns, you can only place 2 unfinished Buildings with your Account and additional accounts are forbidden except they are registered and linked with your main account up to 2 more....

Can anyone clarify. Can you have 2 unbuilt properties per account or per character? If I heard correctly each account gives you 3 characters. Does that add up to a total of 6 unbuilt structures, or since they are all the same account I still will only get 2 unbuilt.

The "Swept-Roof Chalet" design kind of looks like it has space for a couple plants because the space taken up by the actual building is thinner? The chalet would be better then the manor if that is the case. I would also like to hear more about benefits of different zones because I've done a lot of research and it looks like the only relevant housing zone in all of west continent is the southern part of two crowns, because that's where cargo lives, and it's also the closest beach to the cargo hand in over at east which matters because cargo delivery is timed. Aside from that it's like what even matters because every zone is temperate so you can grow the same shit the same way and make the same stuff regardless of where you place your house and there's no other factors in housing location as far as I can tell.

trade packs are not dependent on land anymore unless you're making larders. If you're making larders then you have to factor time in it as well. Would you rather take longer and make more gold or less gold but faster runs? Regardless, for regular packs, you don't need land anywhere.

Ok, so what is going to happen after launch when like 40-50% of players will drop this game for other MMOs being released? Their land is wasted and cant be used by others or will it dissapear when they dont pay tax or whatever? Im a totally new player to Archeage, dont understand 90% of the game, because its complex which i love, but i dont want to HAVE to rush for this land rush thing, just because people are going ham the first weeks.
So maybe you can explain why land is so important in the long run and what will happen to all the land thats not being used by players who left the game.

It will eventually be taken from the players who don't use the land, they have to pay a tax that i believe is weekly and then the plot cant be destroyed and taken by other players basically. Also people will constantly be selling land or should be in theory.

If you are going for world pvp and group pvp ( which is more fun tbf) your ping should not be that much of a problem. Also 1v1 arena is nothing but for bragging rights and a luxury for those with too much time. You should understand that with that kind of ping you vant easily compete there

Im pretty sure there will be enough land for everyone. Doing this way you have your propertys close to each other. Otherwise you would take place somewhere else.

thats why they give 4day block on houses, so everybody can get at least a house. which is 15 gilda i can farm it in 10minutes of play... i think that 99% people will get chance to get house because of limited labor for land certificate :)

There are special area just for large houses. Certain map has these area called "Luxurious Housing Area" or something similar to that. These housing area only allows tier 3 or above house plans, so no farms, 8x8 house or 16x16 houses（in addition, because farmhouse is considered a farm mixing with house, it is still tier 2 despite taking 24x24, thus it cannot be put in luxurious housing area）.

@@derekchen6430 you can set teleport points on your house, that's why some ppl like land on islands. You can teleport into the ocian and may catch someone mid travel with valuable packs. Each region has a climate (tropic, regular,...) which can speed up grow time for specific plants. Some regions are in permanent peace and some rotate into war. In war you can attack or get attacked by other players
All aurora housing zones rotate into war from time to time and you can't start larder runs from there, else aurora land is the same. You might see more pvp there because both alliances like place their houses there
Still remember your Shadowblade guide from way back when... do you think it's still somewhat viable? Shadowplay seems so nerfed now.

That said, the space between the house and farm is essentially about 6x6 that means no other player can place an 8x8 within that space. This means that if you'd like to upgrade your 8x8 plot of land to a 16x16, then you should have the space to do so. In short, all this is for is to prevent other players from taking up too much space near your house, etc. If they do... then you don't have much room (or none at all) to grow in the future.

Climate, distance to NPCs, distance to speciality crafter, distance to public farm, distance to possible illegal farm places, distance from sea, view, etc. These are the ones I can think of.

I don't understand the point of having extra grass that serves no purpose. Am I missing something? It seems like a lot of time to spend in the video for personal preference.
The idea behind that is to allow you to place larger structures later on when you upgrade your placed plots, though it can be hard to do it can definitely allow you to end up with more land than if you didn't spread out as much as possible. Also if you want to have your guild own land near you then taking up as much place as possible to later re-arrange to fill in that space will net you more land than if you only took as little as possible.
Note that it's a fairly long-term plan though and might take a while to give you payoff, it does have a secondary global negative effect which is a lot of "dead" land between structures because you likely won't end up filling it fully depending on what people claim nearby.

It's easier than ever to get into. Watching this video and the one he linked in it and just doing what that says will most likely allow you to at least place land. After that you have a bit of breather to learn more. But you will have already learned how to level and upgrade your gear into Hiram which is what you will continue to upgrade from there on out. The skill system is set up to allow you to level all the skills, so even if you don't like a skill set later on, you can just level one that fits better.
Also, even the Archeage vets are coming and researching the information in videos like this and playing on test (which opens to all today) to get a feel for it.

With that 8x8 you put down first you are secured to have 2 farms of 16x16 when you complete the objectives later on.
My lady and i have 3 accounts in total and will rush for a nice spot and secure as much land as we can with 3x 8x8 and 6 16x16 wich we will later on transform into a gazebo and thatched farmhoyse with some room left.
Be smart and do not go to Gweonid if you play West as that will be a complete clusterfuck.
Why does it matter if you have all the space between your structures,,, it seems like yours just trying to ruin the amount of players who get to have structures... is it just so you can potentially demo whats there and rebuild larger structures in the space in the future???

I think I start from way too far... What is a guilda? How do you get a guilda? and in 4 day, how many guilda someone can expect to get?
You get Gilda Stars from doing GREEN main story quests.. I played for about 7 hours yesterday and I have about 65 Gilda. You can also get Gilda Stars if you activate the Arch Pass in game for 1 copper and then upgrade it in game for 10 Gold. To get All the Gilda to make 3 plots will be a stretch for a lot of people I am going to shoot for 200 and just try to get 2 plots.
i agree with those who say this is greedy. yea you say everyone is going to do it and a lot of people might stop playing because they will have no land. but i guess you guys rather play on your big houses and a lot of space in a dead game than have a normal house/space in an active/alive game.
Even on a dead Server land is rare so thats that. Also people dont have to do this. But how much land will be sold when there will be less demos since noone canon run out of patron. If you plan to get a 24x24 but dont get At least 200 gilda stars by saturday youll likely be stuck with 16x16 for a long time. Either prepare yourself or deal with it. Also there is a Limit of 2 unbuilt properties per account. So thats that.

The devs have been making mentions of changes to the build system for unchained such as limiting the number of blueprints you can place down at once and adding a larger tax requirement

There is no reason to deliberately leave 7x7 space in between your land other than to be an asshole.

You all have land on f2p archeage, why not stay there and leave us new players to unchained? Sounds fair to me stop all the vets hogging the land and killing the game yet again to play on a dead server alone.
@@liammorris1018 There's a lot of players that are returning to the game that quit AA to get away from the P2W. Myself included, I quit around AAv2.3. There's a lot of people who you will see in-game that are like myself who have played the game but are far from being considered 'vets'. Why would you choose my comment to reply to in order to vent your concerns and not just post it up as a comment for everyone else who's scrolling to see is beyond me.
