You were the first person I found that actually unlocked the case and got the gun, I think everyone who didn’t had a much better experience throughout the second half. Open till now, because of everyone else’s reviews and watching their experiences, I thought the second half was even better than the first, but I can see how with a gun it would be disappointing

I often think we've ruined some important moments of the game with how it ended. Though all our team is starving for new projects and we don't want to add anything new to the Nolul. At least right now. Maybe, as big cool corporations do, we may "cancel" directors cut ending in the sequel. Do you have a script for it in Google Docs or something? I would like to have it saved for myself and would like to pick a line or two and add it to Steam Reviews if you're okay with that.
The version that is not the [Directors cut] is actually much cooler and fun then the directors cut! Though I miss the 4 legged spider guy, but the lore in that version is much better then this version and is much more detailed on some parts.
For me this was one of the scariest games I’ve ever played, especially the slow pace and sound effects. The imagination of being in the same situation was the most terrifying part for me. Such a great horror game.
You can make sure whether you have a masterpiece of a game in front of you or a common tasteless horror: just watch a few walkthroughs, read a little about the game, and put the "investigative activity" in the closet, deliberately forget about the game, distract yourself with something else, and then after some time try to catch the moment, if it comes, when it seems to you that you still do not know everything about this game, when you get the feeling that this game is something bigger and different than you previously imagined it. That's when you realize that this has happened to you - be 95% sure that you have a game art with a great special idea in front of you.

game is better if you dont find the gun, but natural player instincts will always drive you to want to open the chest

I didn't get the gun, but I found the linearity of the later cult stuff confusing, especially the medieval village stuff?
