- After diving into the brilliant Vehicle control addon mod a couple of weeks ago, I decided to update my favorite Sim Dashboard screen, the Fendt One screen I built last year. but this time rather than the Guidance Steering mod I created one with the Vehicle Control Addon functionality.
NOTE this is a PC and Android-only app and mod - NOT iOS or Console

Awesome vid, FSG! I have been very interested in sim dashboard. Looks amazing! I downloaded VCA after watching your tutorial on it. It is such a fantastic mod! Even if you don't want the guidance assist, it does so much more! I have been playing manual shift with a clutch ( after installing my T248 wheel and TH8A shifter ). I kept searching for a park brake mod because the tractors roll away. I couldn't find one. VCA has it! It's fantastic! I would be happy with just that but it does so much more! Thanks for introducing it to me. It's now on my "install 1st" list. 😎👍
I simply love sim dashboard mate. I use it for ATS and Assetto corsa. I actually came across your channel doing a search for simdashboard, and now am an avid Farm simmer! one thing I think would benefit the operations panel, or rear implement panel is an alternate work mode button. It was a complete mission to find the keyboard command along with understanding the tractor had to be powered off to make the change lol - Edit, I just watched headland mangement video too, integrating that into the dash would be next level! have fun at Farmcon!
Thanks man, Glad you enjoy it! Some limitations to the software mean not everything is possibly (yet) but I’m in conversation with the software developer so can ask him for developments

lol.. I totally did the same!! - Normally I run a iOS-ecosystem ..but for this!! ..I made an exception - Bought a Galaxy Tab A9+ for this!! ..It was cheaper anyway, than any other buttonbox's available on the marked!

Love it, Will be downloading this version as well so I can swap between the GPS systems.
I would love to see a John Deere G5 display (Both normal run screen and the GPS screen with VCA controls) Done by you, your Sim Dashboard setups are always the best and most well done however since I operate John Deeres with these IRL I would love to have one to use with FS too that has VCA since I prefer that far more that Guidance Steering.
Until the day that this will hopefully come though I will continue to use this Fendt one like I have since you made it. Love it regardless.

Thank you for show casing this feature. I wonder in the future if they will be able to use this for the in cab monitors already existing in the tractors?
Maybe even then the console player's could get a taste of what PC player's already enjoy.

haven't played FS22 for about 18 months , watched this then downloaded/installed Sim Dashboard & installed mod .Really enjoyed using my tablet for this. Can you attach/detach implements on the touch screen?

It might soon be able to be used on ios due to new EU law. Apple has to give people at least in europe the option to side load apps.
So when this becomes available sim dashboard will be the first app I’ll install that way onto my iPad.
It would still need to be converted to an iOS app, and I don't think the developer has plans to do that
@@TheFarmSimGuy it depends how apple implements the feature. Is it going to emulate android or does it work without conversion.
Apple still hasn’t given much detail in how they’re implementing this. Maybe it’ll work maybe it won’t, so I’ll just wait and see what happens.
Another option is to try and fix my first tablet but that device hasn’t been on in almost 10 years so it probably won’t even support the app.

Thank you FSG this is amazing, got me back to using Sim Dashboard again, well done. it certainly helps with me as i keep forgetting keybinds (getting to old 🤣), Is there any chance that this could be done for Claas tractors, as I use them more than anything else. I have downloaded the class harvester one just not used it yet. Thanks again for your time and effort for the community, great

I experienced a glitch with the firsf version of the Fendt dashboard.
Working with movers the control of the front hitch/rear hitch didn't work. If you pressed the buttons for the front hitch and the rear hitch was selected using G, then the rear hitch would operate. So everything was depending witch hitch was selected using G.
But it is only the case with movers....

It's not a glitch. if you use the keyboard it will throw things out of sync, that's just a limitation of any button box that can have more than one state, use the front/rear selector on the sim dash to avoid that happening rather than pressing G on your Keyboard
@@TheFarmSimGuyMaybe I am doing it wrong, but I purchase a front and rear mover and attach it to the tractor. I am not touching G in any way on my keyboard.
When I press the unfold button for the front hitch on the Fendt dashboard the rear mover unfolds....
Hi FSG. Love the tutorials. Do you have a SimDashboard screen for John Deere with VCA? I use VCA exclusively for gps as I feel it handles offset tools better.

Up in the very top right on the Fendt green banner, what does the magnifying button "-" and + do. Does that toggle full screen on and off. When I use them, it seems to do nothing on my tablet. Awesome creation FSG!
If you are in a tractor in 3rd person mode it zooms you in an out
Very nice! Is there a switch lanes feature with the guidance steering mod? If not, this vehicle control looks like a winner!
No there isn’t a automatic one for Guidance Steering you would have to steer your tractor over a lane manually then reactivate it
This Dashboard really looks spectacular. Is there a way to do the same thing on an iPad? I don't really have the budget to buy an android tablet just for this.
No, unfortunately due to Apple's security protocols (and that you need a small app on windows to get the data from the game)
You've probably stated this in one of your older videos, but what monitor, or tablet are you using yourself?
Any old Android tablet will do Kendall, I bought the cheapest one I could find on Amazon best resolution is 1920x1200
I have an Amazon fire tablet I won, but never use, based on Android OS, I will have to see if the app will install. You mention a resolution of 1920x1200, but what is the size of your tablet's screen?
It’s a 10 inch screen but it also works well on 8 inch screens 👍

Two of us on my server did the same thing last week. We've been playing for years and had never used it. No going back now.

I do have the VCA-mod inst. but never used it so THX a lot for shoving and making another great simdashboard screen -love them all!!! 👍👍👍
Not just a gamechanger but you save lot of cash too, just imagine 3 or 4 tractors a combine and a forage harvester at 15000 $/€ or Pounds for each one, soon mounts up.

Can this dashboard be run on a Samsung galaxy s23 ultra ?
There's no reason why not, it may be slightly distorted becuase it's not optimized for that screen ratio (19.3:9) the screen is built for 16:10, but it'll defo work

Yet again a great video FSG. One question, can I use the Fendt screen with other tractors or just the Fendt make? Been using your 'Active Run Page' on Sim Dashboard for ages now and would be lost without it. Maybe add the active run buttons to that as well? Thanks.
I’m planning on it Paul and yes screens are totally universal so you can use them in any tractor 👍
One more question, when I get to the Google Play page for the app, I don't see any mention of a Pro version.

You would be correct, didn't show in play store from my PC, but when the page loaded on my tablet, the pro-options where there. TY for all your help on this, I got it up and running, now I just need to watch your older videos to get the gist of all the controls. Idk if you covered it and I missed it but Sim Dashboard now supports fill level/ container fill amount.
It always has, I have it on some of my other dashboards 👍

Does anyone know how much Pro costs? I can't find where its listed anywhere on the website, and that makes me think its a sub or expensive.
It’s the app on the App Store, when I paid it was a one off cost of around $6

You have to create them yourself, I spend hours designing mine from scratch using Adobe Illustrator

Yeah, couple of things to install, but the instructions are pretty good
I can't get any buttons to work info shows up and accurate but non buttons work keybinds are default
You’ve got the pc app downloaded as you are getting data, have you ticked the Sim Dashboard mod when you load in a game save?
Ya the data like attached detached is showing up and water temp date time all that just not one of the buttons work

Hey FSG, Big fan here :-) i have tried to run this app and it is working, However i seem to get this message from the app saying "is the mod enabled in the game ? ignore this if the game is still loading. and this message is blocking the bottom of my screen . have you ever had this issue ?
do you get that after the game has launched? have you installed the mod in your mod folder? I sometimes see it if the game is still loading but it goes away once the game is running.
Dash panel is out for Apple can you make some panels for that
No, It's not very good, I had an iPad virtually melt while running it it got so hot

No, Sim dash just sends data not images

That's right Derek, all universal base game keybinds except the VCA stuff, need the mod installed for those 👍

Hi Mr Sim Guy ,this may be the wrong way to contact you but its the only way I know. Can you or your followers help? I have followed all the instruction to install Sim Das' and it works on my tablet , BUT I cant get it to talk to fs22 on PC watched lots of 'how to's 'on the tube still nothing .......all it says is "FS22 not running" and it is can some one help a 74yr old man from going MAD? ?
Have you added the mod to your mod folder?

@@TheFarmSimGuy icon is on my desktop at start up. Has approval through firewall. Is checked in mod selector for map I have run repair sim dashboard,restart and still nothing works, I'm so sorry if I am a pain but I don't know who else to turn too, I'm on my own with no ideas
How do you incorporate the different mods like GPS or VCA?
Just ensure you have those mods downloaded and activated

@@22jbwest Just make sure your buttons relate to the keybinds that are set for the mod, and you are good to go, simple as that 👍

While I really appreciate and love the SIM Dashboard/buttonbox-opportunities, I fairly often run into the Brand-Wall ..that this Dashboard/Buttonbox, is only for 'this brand/model, tractor/harvester' ..only?!
It turns into 'very niche-specific' dashboards?!
So instead of just a few Dashboard's/buttonbox's, that can be used for many different brands, I suddenly need 5-10 different dashboards, to each and every type of brand and models?!?
I wish, that more Dash-DEV's, would create more 'overall usable' Dashboards, that was more usable to multible brands/models..?!? ..just a wish..!!

But it’s not for that specific brand/model. Just use a Fendt one with a new Holland tractor, all the buttons do the same thing
Can I only put sim dashboard on an andriod tablet or if I have a touchscreen windows tablet (Surface Pro) is there a version for that?
