As of when I posted this video it is cheaper than when I filmed for Black Friday. It’s now $239 plus 5% off.
Just letting you know about the price change…

I have the exact same one. I purchased it a month ago and have used it several times locating leaks. Love it and has paid for itself already!

Appreciate you sharing… helps to hear others opinions who have one 👍👍

I've really been impressed with the quality vs cost of Kaiweets products!
I have a Flir camera that plugs into my iPhone. I use it for a variety of things. Lately I have been finding gaps in a building envelope so I know where to seal. And now that I have one, my boys want me to get photos of farts coming out. I'm not in a big hurry to test that out!

Yeah the uses keep piling up… but that is the best I’ve heard so far.
I’m the same with KAIWEETS. Everything they sent me so far, I wouldn’t mind paying the price for. I’m not sure I would have pulled the trigger on them before testing their products just because I don’t buy a lot of “unknown” things.
But for entry level tools prices that have a lot of features, I think they are pretty good.

@@MORGANSMaintenance yeah, I wouldn't have bought any Kaiweets products without seeing your reviews first. We have similar tastes in tools so I like hearing your take before paying hard earned money.

External phone accessories are too peculiar for me. For my professional purposes I prefer standalone, independent devices.
I have Flir moisture meter and I was thinking about some simple Flir thermal imaging camera. But for now I don't need it so much to justify spending $1000.
Nice, clear and very informative review.

Yeah the Flir are the ones I was looking at before, but I have several $1000 tools that are on the list of rather haves before it.
I’m the same on the phone. They change the ports on these every couple years which makes your tool either obsolete, or you have to keep an old phone running…. That or somebody calls in the middle of you working 😂
This one probably isn’t bad for the price, but I don’t have anything to compare it to. I at least have something to try and see how much I will actually use one.

@@MORGANSMaintenance There are always couple of $1000 tools to buy :)
      Happy Thanksgiving.

I use my Klein TI250 all the time for leak detection, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC maintenance, and of course having fun with my kids. This one with the thermal to digital picture swap is great! I usually have to pull out my phone to record the area, and be holding the thermal camera out into the recording area to be able to show clients what's going on. This unit will now go into my wish list of tools!

With this being my first one, I wasn’t sure what features it might have that others did not. I do feel that’s a pretty nice feature. It has about 5 different layers you scroll through from no thermal to full thermal with it changing gradually.
I will get to see how useful one is now… I feel like it is a good tool to have.

I have seen a couple of other videos on this Kaiweets and it does seem an interesting option. A lot of it for me comes down to the reporting software and ability to manipulate the image after recording. With Flir software you do get that, not sure what it is like for this Kaiweets. Nice to see it has a digital image as well as the thermal, I usually place side by side pictures in reports, the Flir also has an overlay mode which I find useful.
I use it mostly for electrical diagnosis / monitoring. Good for use on solar panels and battery connections. I have seen them used in the past for steam and vacuum leaks and good for building insulation monitoring.
I probably can't justify one with already having a Flir and a Topdon unit.

I’ve been wanting one for some time now. Without having one already it’s nice to have one to find out what you are really looking for in one before spending big money.
That’s what has kept me from pulling the trigger, when I spend a lot on a tool (around $1000 or more) I spend too much time worrying about buyers remorse and it keeps me from pulling the trigger.
I can see many uses for this technology.

Can you measure your GFCI outlet temperature? Is it a lot hotter than its surrounding? Thanks.

Are you talking about while in use… or just in general without anything plugged in?

They show up a hotter color.. but only about 1 degree difference in temp

Thank you for checking. I saw 10 degrees F higher but within spec. Not sure if that's due to aging.

@@TOandMore I checked two and they were within 1-2 degrees, but the color was drastically different which was weird
