Good video. I used to live in a 7 bed house with pool etc. for the last 4 years I’ve lived in a caravan on my land. It’s bigger than your van but I get all of your sentiments entirely. Very refreshing that many are taking to the simple life . My dog is a lot bigger than yours but you gotta have a dog when on your own in a simple life 🐶

I raise English Springers and… pooch poop is just a part of life but, diarrhea is the least cool of all. I think I told you this before… I have built many van conversions, starting way back before they were EVER popular. Some people thought I was a bit weird doing so but, I’ve always enjoyed the build & travel experiences… Especially when you pull over and sleep some place where you’ve never been before. But isn’t that what it’s all about? 😳 I’m designing (in my head at present) a van with two beds, stand up shower, air conditioned with heat, generator backup, full kitchen with oven & microwave, dual wheels so I can tow a live-aboard boat with the same amenities as the van. Adding a gyro-stabilization system that eliminates any kind of sea-sickness. I have a very ambitious plan to explore the entire USA via land and water. Making way for the Florida Keys & the Bahamas during the coldest months. (Why not?) I’ll be filming an ongoing documentary featuring many of the places to see and experience during the adventure. I hope to find a person that I can feature in this adventure that operates very much like you do. Someone that can take whatever happens and turn it into an ongoing storyline. Even doggie diarrhea 🤮 I enjoy your charismatic demeanor and your many delightful attributes. You have a priceless attitude. I live on a bluff at the end of a canyon and we get some nasty windstorms every once in awhile. We had one several weeks ago where we had gusts up to 70 mph. Needless to say, shit was blown all over the place! I have a patio umbrella that I should’ve put in the garage, but didn’t. It did a Mary Fucking Poppins and flew clear across the backyard. I’m lucky it didn’t blow over the bluff - a 870 foot cliff.
So, we comment here to show our gratitude to this young woman who at some point in her life she must’ve awakened to the awareness that there is value in attempting to view living life from a different perspective. An awareness that perhaps another way to engage with people is in a sort of virtual reality. Not that Ame is not realistic, quite the contrary. Talking to you, Ame, I feel like you are much like a space traveler who loves observing people and yet cherishes the idea that despite the annoyances and inconvenience of van life, you display that the freedom you have, by far, outweighs the constrictions it may present. You see, most of us that watch your movies, I believe-(in a virtual way of course)-are fascinated at how you handle situations while inviting us to observe you in such a candid way. Like someone would a trusted friend. For me, when I comment here, it is not only to say a job well done, understanding how much hard work and time goes into to these videos. In other words, it has the look and feel of real life, not a tv show where actors are simply like sentient puppets telling someone else’s story. Which , of course can be an entertaining diversion. However, your work is displaying a real young woman, her Gigi, Gloria,-(her home and cozy “space ship”)-with the fascinating and brilliant notion to record much of your adventures and invite or share them with your invisible traveling companions. I especially like the way you capture just small incidents that become very entertaining. I hope , as I’m sure the rest of us do also, that you continue for as long as possible, to never get weary or discouraged of this grand idea. There must be days where....never mind that. Just know that you truly have made a lot of friends out here in “space”. It was a nice touch to include the fellow who approached you , much like any one of us might have done, who thought of you as real friend , inviting you to he and his wife’s boat. Anyway, another great video or more like a movie the way you add the soundtrack with excellent editing. Just one more thing, even though you’re young, it shows that you’ve been through quite a lot and you obviously have incredible parents, but there is someone that really shines through you. I know you know who she is. Much gratitude and please keep inviting us along in as many moments as you can...
Would love to have the van life as it's not much different from sleeping on the streets as was homeless for many months to only just managed to get a little flat that I saved up for it's not the same as being able to go where you like, but it's a little safer. Glad to see you do the van life.

Great vid as usual, tip for cutting meat, get some kitchen scissors you use only for meat. And occasionally dump them in some boiling water to sterilise them ...and for korma, a trick is to add some grated coconut and chutney (or apricot/peach jam in a pinch). I add grated coconut to many foods eg Thai to get a more authentic taste, it also adds a creaminess and lasts ages,.nice in muesli and on fruit

You wanna go mild sweet and delicious, then look for a passanda. Pataka doen't make one! So add a little sugar, and cream to make it more Kormary. i also add ground almonds and some sultans boil to plump them up! Bit of a pain to mess around but you will love it!

As to Gigi's diarrhea , what kind of water do you give her? Assuming you drink filtered or bottled water, you should give her the same water that you drink. A dog's digestive system is just as sensitive to changes in water as people. I had the same problem with my dogs when I went camping. I was giving them unfiltered water from the campground tap. When I started giving them the same filtered water that I drank, I didn't have those problems anymore. I hope this helps! I looking forward to watching more of your videos!

Yes, absolutely. Convenience is the end of living. Like the microwave. It does it for you and you don’t have the joy of creating your meal. Or, washing machine. I lived in a third world country for a while and I learned how to wash my clothes by hand that is super efficient, plus you build forearm muscles lol. it's true, living in a van "shifts" your comfort zone. a lot of things are less convenient than living in a house. when everything is well maintained and sorted, van life is perfect, but as soon one thing is not working right it can get annoying real quick. coming from me, sitting in my van right now while not having water and desperately needing a shower :D haha. But generally I think it's good to not have "all the luxuries" available and get used to a little "discomfort" it makes you appreciate the little things more :)
Totally! I've lived in an RV for about 6 years, and the pipes occasionally break due to hard water from the well I'm on. I've come to really appreciate a nice bird bath (with warm water in a bucket and castille soap). But a hot shower will always be heavenly. haha

I hope Gi Gi's tummy is feeling better.....been there and got the t shirt a couple of times.....gagging as i'm cleaning up along the way. You handled it great......shit happens sometimes and we just have to deal with it. You two take care of each other.

I live on a bluff at the end of a canyon and we get some nasty windstorms every once in awhile. We had one several weeks ago where we had gusts up to 70 mph. Needless to say, shit was blown all over the place! I have a patio umbrella that I should’ve put in the garage, but didn’t. It did a Mary Fucking Poppins and flew clear across the backyard. I’m lucky it didn’t blow over the bluff - a 870 foot cliff.
So, we comment here to show our gratitude to this young woman who at some point in her life she must’ve awakened to the awareness that there is value in attempting to view living life from a different perspective.
An awareness that perhaps another way to engage with people is in a sort of virtual reality. Not that Ame is not realistic, quite the contrary.
Talking to you, Ame, I feel like you are much like a space traveler who loves observing people and yet cherishes the idea that despite the annoyances and inconvenience of van life, you display that the freedom you have, by far, outweighs the constrictions it may present.
You see, most of us that watch your movies, I believe-(in a virtual way of course)-are fascinated at how you handle situations while inviting us to observe you in such a candid way. Like someone would a trusted friend.
For me, when I comment here, it is not only to say a job well done, understanding how much hard work and time goes into to these videos. In other words, it has the look and feel of real life, not a tv show where actors are simply like sentient puppets telling someone else’s story. Which , of course can be an entertaining diversion. However, your work is displaying a real young woman, her Gigi, Gloria,-(her home and cozy “space ship”)-with the fascinating and brilliant notion to record much of your adventures and invite or share them with your invisible traveling companions. I especially like the way you capture just small incidents that become very entertaining.
I hope , as I’m sure the rest of us do also, that you continue for as long as possible, to never get weary or discouraged of this grand idea. There must be days where....never mind that. Just know that you truly have made a lot of friends out here in “space”. It was a nice touch to include the fellow who approached you , much like any one of us might have done, who thought of you as real friend , inviting you to he and his wife’s boat.
Anyway, another great video or more like a movie the way you add the soundtrack with excellent editing.
Just one more thing, even though you’re young, it shows that you’ve been through quite a lot and you obviously have incredible parents, but there is someone that really shines through you. I know you know who she is.
Much gratitude and please keep inviting us along in as many moments as you can...

Would love to have the van life as it's not much different from sleeping on the streets as was homeless for many months to only just managed to get a little flat that I saved up for it's not the same as being able to go where you like, but it's a little safer. Glad to see you do the van life.

Great vid as usual, tip for cutting meat, get some kitchen scissors you use only for meat. And occasionally dump them in some boiling water to sterilise them ...and for korma, a trick is to add some grated coconut and chutney (or apricot/peach jam in a pinch). I add grated coconut to many foods eg Thai to get a more authentic taste, it also adds a creaminess and lasts ages,.nice in muesli and on fruit

When you wake feeling like this it is your brain (after dreaming, coping with and making sense of what you did during the day) telling you, you indeed do not know, socialise more with local people and get to really know them. Then the feeling of belonging will make the feeling you described dissapear like snow when the sun rises.

As to Gigi's diarrhea , what kind of water do you give her? Assuming you drink filtered or bottled water, you should give her the same water that you drink. A dog's digestive system is just as sensitive to changes in water as people. I had the same problem with my dogs when I went camping. I was giving them unfiltered water from the campground tap. When I started giving them the same filtered water that I drank, I didn't have those problems anymore. I hope this helps!

Yes, absolutely. Convenience is the end of living. Like the microwave. It does it for you and you don’t have the joy of creating your meal. Or, washing machine. I lived in a third world country for a while and I learned how to wash my clothes by hand that is super efficient, plus you build forearm muscles lol. I think your forced to be present when it’s not convenient. Cheers, mama ❤

it's true, living in a van "shifts" your comfort zone. a lot of things are less convenient than living in a house. when everything is well maintained and sorted, van life is perfect, but as soon one thing is not working right it can get annoying real quick. coming from me, sitting in my van right now while not having water and desperately needing a shower :D haha. But generally I think it's good to not have "all the luxuries" available and get used to a little "discomfort" it makes you appreciate the little things more :)
Totally! I've lived in an RV for about 6 years, and the pipes occasionally break due to hard water from the well I'm on. I've come to really appreciate a nice bird bath (with warm water in a bucket and castille soap). But a hot shower will always be heavenly. haha
