I’ve watched once upon a Time in Hollywood 100 times. Everyone hated it when it first came out, but if you paid attention to peoples reactions and check out recent reviews, a lot of people have changed their opinions about it overtime.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is not only his greatest work but it's the best movie that anyone has made since Goodfellas.

If you pay attention to the character arc of Rick Dalton, he’s trying to survive in Hollywood by doing films. He does not like to do, but it’s either that or be stuck in time and be forgotten. That’s literally what’s going on in today’s Hollywood.
A lot of actors are sticking with very popular IP’s to stay reverent in Hollywood so they don’t get forgotten and they’re probably doing films, they don’t want to do. But if they don’t do something at all. It’s so easy to be forgotten in the business and it feels like everyone is trying their best to survive in Hollywood while being in its darkest time ever.

I think the most valid criticism of Tarantino was made by Vincent Gallo who called him a thief and collage artist. In other words, he lifted substantial bits from other films. I have never been a Tarantino fan. Back when Reservoir Dogs came out , he was accused of ripping off the Hong Kong Action film City On Fire. Tarantino admits to stealing the Mexican standoff scene and that's it. I guess Tarantino forgot that City On Fire was about an undercover cop infiltrating a gang of thieves. Also, the ear cutting off scene was lifted from the Spaghetti Western Django. With Pulp Fiction, he lifted the two hitmen retrieving a drug dealer's briefcase bit from an Italian Crime film called The Italian Connection, a film about two American hit men (Woody Strode and Henry Silva) arriving in Italy to retrieve an Italian drug dealer's briefcase full of cash from an ex-employee. Kill Bill 1 & 2 were basically a remake of Lady Snowblood 1&2. I know of these movies because I literally have Aspergers and my thing is movies. I thought it was just me, but people I know who were Tarantino fans watched more and more films and coming to the conclusion that the more films they watch, the less they like Tarantino movies.
