One thing that also annoys me is how they say you can play in different Indy skins, etc when in reality, since its first person does it really matter???? You can barely see Indy's body in general unless its special quicktime event or cutscene. Even as he is moving, you can barely see his arms and legs, much less his body during combat. Its as if MachineGames FORGOT this wasn't made like Uncharted or Tomb Raider yet they wanted the perks of it being those games. This is just another example of people being in charge of development and being paid so much money who clearly have no idea what they are doing and miss the mark completely.
I really hope it doesn't become nauseating to play, because anything ive seen from the story and acting has me super exited. Especially after dial of Destiny left a bad taste in my mouth. 3rd person mods are gonna go crazy.
You haven't played any immersev sim , or just heavy atmosphere FP games, haven't you ? Bc that is what this game is also about FP makes the most sense .

I like seeing things on a third person perspective. But it doesn't mean I can't have fun playing FP games. My first games when I became a gamer where FPs all the way. I guess being introduced to Third person kinda ticked with me a little bit more... Still I will play FP anyway.
100000% agree. Let's all be honest here, there's a reason Microsoft didn't bother making this an Xbox exclusive and that's because it was made THIS WAY! I guarantee you if it was made like Uncharted or the Tomb Raider reboot, they would have made sure not to let it be multiplatform.
The combat looks as bad as Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but at least you get to explore different locations. Playing Deliverance is like being stuck in a low-budget, medieval theme park. Indiana Jones looks more like an improved version of the Sherlock Holmes games. Which isn't good, but it's a helluva lot better than playing Holmes.
The combat was the reason why i never finished kingdom come deliverance. It just wasn't fun to play. Then when i saw that they are using the same exact combat for the sequel, i was baffled.

Hell, i'm one of the few gamers who goes 98% of every game i own without using the sprint button, but in the case of KCD's combat- i know the devs said they were going for a more time period accurate style of combat, but it still could've been much better than that.
Nha I think it looked pretty damn stellar, good design all around, But the combat is where I agree - I never got around to understand it and oh boy did I try.
It may look but plays nicely , from what people have said,there a satisfying response and impact , there is a learning curve i guess , not for everyone.

Even by the PS3 era it was unforgivable because The Darkness let you see your legs AND your torso

Those were not bad games, they're just isn't for you. Slow pace games have their own place.
