A great man and an inspiration! When I bought the first Big Bang RG/Fusion and emailed Mr.Biver he replied and we shared our passion for watches. I wish him a long life as the horological world needs him.
This is the personality and enthusiasm that should have been injected into more Baselworld coverage. Wei Koh's videos at the Fair have surprised me as being disarmingly watchable.
JCB, he would succeed if he was in other industry. That energy and passion are intrinsic. Respect. Thank you for great interview. From this video I learnt something about life from JCB.
In 5.38 Mr. Biver is cleaning the splinters off the table after all ther beating. Super intense. Super clear in his ideas. Would love to see the his watch in detail.
JCB has amazing energy...very refreshing to see. I would love to see him retire at SEIKO! I wonder what he could do for that brand...his final challenge; make Grand Seiko/Credor a much larger factor in luxury watch market!
Being able to take a wrist shot with Jean Claude Biver with the same ultra exclusive watch at Baselworld? Awesome! And interesting insight behind the Bamford move away from Rolex customizing
Observatories (such as Kew, Neuchâtel, and Besançon) by definition (since their existence started more than 300 years ago) more or less only accepted complete watches for chronometer (precision) competitions. Was surprised that METAS and/or Fleuritest was not at least mentioned once. Because they are complete-watch-only certification standards as well. One repeating 'issue' with JCB, is, that he believes that only the brands he leads are innovative in the first place.
Wei--Nice interview, but please: If you'd turn off that damn floor lamp that's lighting up nothing except the viewer's eyes, it wouldn't be a chore to watch.
watches at these prices should be -0/+2 seconds/day as standard... The Future of a watch brand is NOT the message, the future is the DESIGN... if people like it, they will buy it! Rolex - Patek - Richard Mille... its the watch, not the nonsense marketing and celebrity endorsements.
Does Mr. Wei Koh not know his constant "yes" is not only annoying, it is anti-empathetic. I do not doubt his love for watches and certainly he has a lot of money, but a good interviewer or host, he is not. Please make him not ever appear again on the screen, and then this will be good content.
These people are dinosaurs, they will be extinct soon. There is no space for mechanical watches in 2030 (closer to us than 2005 was). Only few will buy them, and those who will buy them will realise there is only one watchmaker worth owning, A. Lange & Sohne with production of less than 6,000 pcs per year. The rest are history.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes…absolutely.
hahahahah
Now we know the zenith defy are shock resistant...
We also know that the table can take a bit of beating as well;)
He is killing that watch on the table there!
It's always great to see and hear you guys talk about watches! Thank you!
JCB was quite... enthusiastic. He must have smacked his watch into the table a thousand times.
He is head of testing
@@johnnewman3316 absolutely, if a watch can survive being worn in an interview by JCB is it is certified as shock-resistant.

i just bought a zenith because of this man, what a legent!
One thing is for sure, we know the watch can take a beating :)
Love Mr. Jean-Claude Biver. What a wonderful person!
What a great interview. Gems of stories! What a character, Mr. Biver!
such a great enthusiastic Energetic Person, gotta love him and show him respect for what he has done to the watchworld
what a lovely enthusiastic man ..... a true inspiration no matter what you do in life !!!
Incredible thoughts
Always entertained by Mr. Biver ❤️
2018 and still a pleasure to watch an interview of JCB. This man is and will always be legend in the watch industry.
What an amazing interview, his passion is infectious.
Always a pleasure to see Mr Biver!
Jean-Claude Biver must love karate
Check his Judo Chop 😂
Thanks @Revolution and @Wei Koh for this interview. Amazing 👍🏻
I like this kind of footage and the speed of it.
This is the personality and enthusiasm that should have been injected into more Baselworld coverage. Wei Koh's videos at the Fair have surprised me as being disarmingly watchable.
Biver sure has a lot of energy and enthusiasm! Good! Now, bring down the prices.
JCB, he would succeed if he was in other industry. That energy and passion are intrinsic. Respect. Thank you for great interview. From this video I learnt something about life from JCB.

"future of tradition" - J has to be the best spin doctor salesman in so called luxury watch industry
What a great guy with so much energy for his age!👍👍
I wasn't to be this passionate when I am his age. Legendary
Wei Kon and JCB in one room. I love these videos!
Wow what passion
What a rockstar Mr. Biver!
Great interview
Wei Koch you are one cool guy. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!
JCB has amazing energy...very refreshing to see.
I would love to see him retire at SEIKO! I wonder what he could do for that brand...his final challenge; make Grand Seiko/Credor a much larger factor in luxury watch market!

You two together need a TV show.
Great interview!
Awesome talk !
amazing
Biver has had all the coke today.
I think it's called adult-ADHD.
JCB is the icon of our time. So passionate
Fantastic both of you are inspirational !
JCB is fidgeting with his watch way too much!!! Lol
Loved the video though. Thank you.
Jean-Claude Biver (JCB) Is also the name of George Bamford's fathers business.
JCB Tractors.
I cant wait to get my hands on a defy in a few years when the technology is affordable (affordable as in not 10.000)
A recognizable case and new materials... JCB, you've already done that at Hublot.
that watch gets the beating test right there......:)
JCB really smacked that bad boy onto the table.. that zenith looks strong
That watch needs more than just viper and cosc cert after banging it thousand times.
The man himself!
I listen for JCB but I cringe every year over Wei’s constant “yes, yes”
Biver doesn't seem to understand, that Zenith's use of high beat movement, doesn't transform the watch it into a hammer.
Hire a sound tech to bleep out the yes yes yes yes yes
Yeah
I wish i can also YES my way to a Zenith Very Limited 10 pieces Watch! Way to go W.K. 👍😆
I love JCB, such a huge personality which manages to dwarf Wei's; not a mean feat!

I would like to smoke what ever JC Biver smoke before he sat down for this interview.
You cannot outshine JCB. No one can.
Zenith, hublot, blancpain , tag heuer, AP omega.... Damn!
Wei Koh must really like the sound of his own voice.
Farhan yeah I’m no fan of him. Also why does he wear two watches. Why not three
Is Biver knocking his watch on purpose to suggest the toughness of it? Wonder if it needs a service now after the interview.
Did he mention Besancon at all?
Biver, you REALLY are fucking up Zenith. I mean really. Try to remember how you handled Blancpain, Zenith is not Hublot.
Say what you will about JCB, but the man is very passionate about watches.
JCB, stop screwing up Zenith by placing it below Hublot...and giving them Hublot/Tag like designs with gaudy rapper marketing (ala swizz beats).
Great interview, but man I’ve count at least 30 kicks on a watch. That hurts dude
JCB must've taken that Tag off at least 57 times, adjusted the strap and put it back on :))))
He’s just checking that it’s still working after all the abuse he’s given it during the interview.
Wei--Nice interview, but please: If you'd turn off that damn floor lamp that's lighting up nothing except the viewer's eyes, it wouldn't be a chore to watch.
That’s a shock resistant Watch he’s wearing, huh? What was the case material and finish on the first Watch? And his hands are YUGE!
lol
Love me a bit of JCB

take it easy with those karate chops, the watch looks like a tank but it still makes me nervous lol
I am sure Jean-Claude Biver is on drugs. He scared the shit out of Wei Koh during this interview.

Jean-Claude is obviously not afraid of dinks and hairlines...
cocaine is a helluva drug
he is italian lol

JCB is annoying AF.
