Always loved the 4th gen, probably my favorite Camaro, and while this isn't a production model I've always loved the GMMG ZL1s. In the context of the 2000s, these things were crazy fast, crazy powerful NA monsters, and if I had a spare hundred grand or two sitting around, I'd have one of these in my garage. Hell, the Catfish is so derided these are basically a sleeper; I'd love to see the look on the face of some hotboy C6 driver after getting dusted by one of these.
@Ballen1182 F-body = Catfish Camaro. The GMMG ZL1 SuperCar wasn’t a production model, but a dealer upgrade. Not sure what was confusing but I hope that helped.
@Ballen1182 I’ve been calling 4th gens F-bodies for like 10 years good god, thank you for learnin’ me
@Ballen1182 I say leave em, this is a rare positive interaction in the TH-cam comments lmao
Now this is a real Camaro
I never knew of these cars being built; I've been building my own.
I seen that car and got a pic. Got a pic of the blue devil ZR1. 1 of my favorite cars of all time
Would love to see the results from your passes! Have been scouring the internet for information on the GMMG cars for several years. Thanks for the content! More videos on this car would be greatly appreciated!
Goto GMMG.net I believe. Message boards, specs, cars for sale. It's a registry.
A few years late. But Damn I wish they recorded the testing and tuning. missed out on that
That's is an amazing car! Thanks for sharing!
Why the hell would you convert a stick to an automatic?? especially in these cars. it takes away the character and fun and reliability
I have a built 6L80e transmission in my 2011 Camaro SS with a 4200rpm Circle D lockup stall converter that has been tuned if you drove it you'd get it nobody is shifting a manual as fast or as good or down shifting
Awesome video I love this Camaro !
Awesome! Liked the burnout!
My dad built some of the Dick Harrell camaros
Now that's the one I want
Anymore videos on this car being operated?
We would love to take this ZL1 out for a few more miles, I will check with our photography/social media person and see what he has.
Thanks for your comment.-Ed

WOW!!!
How much power did the phase 4 make?
I have the picture of the numbers for that car. List car number and with what trans and hp.
69 built. 1 of 2 have automatics and 30 of them came with 600hp with and they had the C5R motor. I have the pics saved on my fb.
Picture showed of the Berger camaro was wrong.. Just saying.
all that money for one of these back in 2002 with the best engine GM had to offer at the time making 600+ hp going through a factory junk 7.62" 10 bolt sourced from a 4cyl mid 70s vega.
@@LT3Fluffy never heard of them coming with 12 bolts, that true with every gmmg car?
A 600HP Catfish!!!!
Not...Lemans Blue.
Do a pull
