Couldn't agree more with your passion on how under-appreciated Video Game Music is! These days it is so important to my experience with a game, that if it doesn't connect with me, I struggle to connect with the game as a whole! I'm currently making playlists for all of my favourite franchises musically (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic, Xenoblade Chronicles, Octopath Traveller, Persona etc) and never having anyone to gush over this with like traditional music is such a frustrating and lonely experience. I'm so glad your channel has come into my life, it's been such an incredible comfort these past few months, Marco! Keep shouting from the rooftops about how incredible this music really is!
Starting off with XB3 Homecoming is an INCREDIBLE lead in. It is extremely difficult (not to mention spoiler intensive) to explain the context of this scene if you havent played the game, but it's one of the best uses of music to elevate a scene in a game ive seen. Just love it
If only the game itself wasn't such a mess. Probably has a few of the most powerful emotional moments in all of the Xeno fracnhise, but the overall plot and writing are just an inconsistent mess. Even worse is that it drags 1 & 2 along with it (and possibly X with the upcoming Switch version, though hopefully they'll keep it separate).
The selection of songs was awesome today. Btw, Marco, i totally agree on your takes during xenoblade's song, and that - hey, i'm italian, i gotta express my feelings made laugh harder than it should. Awesome, awesome episode! I'm sad i can't like it more than once!
I probs won't be able to be a patreon much longer but I'm going to request some splatoon music that you will hopefully enjoy. Rainbow Color Inkantation is definitely throwing you into the deep end of splatoon music. I love that song but that love comes from having experienced everything splatoon right up till today
It might sound hard to believe, but the moment where the Xenoblade 3 song plays in game, specifically at the climax of the music at 24:30, despite how utterly beautiful and intense it is to the point where you think it could take away from the game or not fit the moment, most people who are playing the game don't even notice it because of how big and captivating the scene is with the characters and story. Certainly is one of if not my favorite piece from the whole game, and it very rarely gets reacted to by someone who hasn't played the game because of the spoilers connected to it
OI MARCO, I didn´t notice sice I was gaming during the stream but did you seriously not read my great and insightful description from my suggestion?? SMH
