Harry Gregson-Williams is a rarity in film music. He is an educated composer and a genius at the same time. He and Thomas Newman are my favorites so original.
I loved The Martian music, it fit so well with the movie. Your intro and outro reminded me soo much of another beautiful underrated score and composer that you may remember, The Time Machine by Klaus Badelt! Klaus Badelt is such an underrated talent I feel, it would be amazing if you can remake The Time Machine. You have to go back and watch the movie to see what I mean. Not to mention his score for Equilibrium, also very underrated. Do you think you could make one to celebrate Klaus? :)
Hey, man! This is such a cool thing. Really enjoying your channel! I was wondering how exactly you do the MIDI track overlays for the video? What is your workflow with that? I'm trying to do the same for something I am working on.
Thanks for all your time and effort in educating us! By the way, is How To Train Your Dragon on your Behind the Score list to-do? Really love John Powell's score for it. It's okay if you don't want to do it - after all, you already do so much for us. Do whatever you want :)
I LOVE this video, I've watched it about 3 times and I keep picking up something new from it. Thank you so much for making these! I'm very curious, do you notate everything thats going on by ear or do you get a score somewhere??
Hi Ashton, do you craft your arrangements solely by ear (ok, its not Strawinsky but must be incredibly time consuming) or do you base them on any kind of sheet music...? And as always thank you so much for sharing your insights!
By ear. All the studios own the actual scores so it’s impossible to get access unless it’s the few that are published like JW’s work or the Omni Music Publishing stuff.

It's so wonderfully done. What kind of Synth instrument did you use for this suite?
For the plucks, Scoring Synths, and everything else was omnisphere.
Hi. Can you tell us all the orchestral libraries that you used and like the most? I saw some OT´s. Thank you.
Hi! Wich library of Kontakt (for strings) you used?

You should do the score for Avatar!
