The suspense was crazy on this one. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole game. Man this was fun, reminded me of the time when a guy challenged me and two of my mates to 1v3. We were just playing dota, but I had some ladder knowledge and had finished all the campaigns on hardest, the others were pretty noobish when it came to non custom games(I had 1v2'd two of them a while ago and won). His plans fell apart, because I brought mortars rifles and the two mages. Other guys would have just died against his wall. Almost 20 years ago now, still remember that.
Wow. What a cool game. And this was the most satisfying way it could have happened too. It was 1v4 from beginning to end. If Grubby had taken one of them out early, you could argue that it was 3v1 from minute X or whatever. But no, it was 1v4 the entire time. And they threw everything at him. Not just a couple low tier grunt armies to go in and die easily. It was a coordinated effort the whole time, and they actually played fairly well (all things considered). They attacked his base while Grubby was fighting elsewhere, and even split between air, ground, ranged, anti-air, and siege. Not like they lacked strategy. Grubby was just way too good. Pure and simple. You can't discount this victory at all. Minus the giant experience gap...
Biggest turning point was picking off the purple demolisher army, which drew in the others and allowed for the tp -> solo engagement against the frostwyrms. If they had been able to coordinate at the end and push together, Grubby likely would have lost. Crazy game.
@@TheNikKon yeah honestly there were so many situations that if they had gone slightly different, he should have lost this game. I think his odds of 9-1 were pretty accurate in the beginning. But he just kept capitalizing on little mistakes that just kept adding up.

Best WC3 content ever! I know Grubby is one of the best players ever played WC3, but seeing him put a show against 4 players is a treat! Dantes, KarasMai, Paladin and Natt where great too, is cool to see than outside of summoners rift content.
The games were fantastic, but the best part was Grubby’s passion for the game and genuinely wanting them to get better. Even at the end, inviting them for coaching but also understanding it was overwhelming for them and that this was just a bit of fun. Hope to see more show matches like this exposing other content creators to WC3.
Bro I am a league player and been watching Grubby for this Month and he Is such a chill good vibes guy, I think I am used to league streamers that are always complaining and mad at the game. Cheers for the Warcraft comunity sad I always sucked at the game
I think that's mostly down to the fact that W3 has a rather old, tight knit community. I stopped playing when Reforged came out in 2020 but before that did for like 16 years on an almost daily basis and I'm 33 now. I'd say when I stopped the game I was pretty good (not even close to Grubby level but at the upper eschalon of BNet players). Most of the community is probably in their late 20 to mid 30s now and knows each other for ages. So people are generally not as toxic and more chill. I'm now playing Europa Universalis which is a niche game like w3 and there the community is also rather old and not toxic as well. I feel like these niche games tend to have better audiences because it's very hard to even get a level where you can compete with the rest of the players so naturally something like League appeals to more "casuals" where killing an enemy champion gives instant gratification. So everyone that wants to join and learn is welcome because w3 is a fucking hard game and most people are aware of that and the fact that this game was basically dead for 10 years with no tournaments at all from like 2010-2016 where it slowly picked up the pace again with stuff like Back2Warcraft.
The best part of these streams is that the LoL players who are usually so agitated all the time are chill af and you can see how much fun they're having in this game. They needed this break!
As a Human player this was such a good game. The strategy with mass teleport was perfect, but so risky with how much could've went wrong Archmage gets focused once & dies it's over Attack the expansion earlier with full force (all 4 heroes), it's over Demolishers don't get spotted early (pure luck), it's over More peasants get harass (the one worker unit that needs to be massed, without natural protection) it's over. Someone else already said it but that knight on those und expansions was great too. Lastly, grubby taking advantage of every detail new players wouldn't know (how to block off mine as undead, what units can counter grphs when massed, what arielle shackles does, etc) to defeat 4 players at once was pretty cool
I come here after 5 or so months, just to see what's Grubby up to these days... BOOM, an EPIC nail-biting game. Thank you man! This was such a rollercoaster.
Especially with a mana fountain means infinite heals from Paladin. And with so many invul potions along with divine shield paladins was never at risk from focused and dying.
The whole series was a joy to watch! I've already watched the last game from the Dantes perspective (I just wanted to hear their comms and how they'd strategize and react to your plays), but it was equally as fun to watch your perspective, and how hard it was. GG WP to all participants. Edit: I thought at certain points (from their perspective), that it was over for you, but you are insane, man. The most hilarious comment from a chatter from Dantes chat was "this map is bad, because you can teleport so much", lol. Little did he knew, that you had multiple portal scrolls and the ultimate from the Archmage. Also, from themselves, if you said "gl hf" in a league game, you'd be harassed, lol.
Really cool to see you get quiet around the 17:30 mark and knowing you're needing to truly focus against these guys, like in a real competitive game. Awesome challenge for everyone involved.
