The Frontier one+expansions is amazing, but the laser focus awesomeness of the originals is unsurpassed. Best Management sim/rollercoaster construction physics series ever, thanks Chris Sawyer you code god you!
Now that is insane, working out the exact placements of every piece of land, pathway, stall and coaster track all in such a compact package. Must've taken a lot of work figuring this particular puzzle out.
hatedarkchain Depends on your PC. RCT3 Is a fun game for me, even if sometimes it does crash. However, I am gonna lay off Frontier, because the graphics level in game was still pretty new technology. Also, they made some awesome theme park games other than RCT 3, such as Thrillville for ps2. But they are all pretty awesome, no doubt. However, it's pretty much confirmed RCT World will be horrible. Kind of sad, because they were obviously on track all the way to 2011, well at least they were with TDU2...
Dude the music in the background is my theme song! Whenever I walk into school with this song playing and be like "yo what you have fo breakfast?" And then I'd walk into English and be all like "yo teacher! What's fo homework last night cause I didn't do nothin!" And then I'd walk into lunch and be like "yo lunch lady! Gimmy dem carrots!" And then I put on my shades and and all the girls be like "hey the warf!" (I'm the warf they call me) and I'd be like "yo ladys!" And I'd swagger all the way home.
I'll be honest the person writing this comment is me from 5 years ago. If you don't believe me, my name on this account is "Thewarf321" and has been for 4 years now. I go by that name online and in games and I had just started using it at this time. I was on a "church account" because my mom was a pastor and had given me access to her youtube channel to watch videos. This comment to this day still haunts me and I think about it daily. I finally found the youtube video after all these years and here it is... still alive and with 77 likes and a heart from the creator. I am so sorry I have brought this upon you people.
jesus fucking damn dude. im impressed beyond words with the craftsman ship here. it looks like a nightmare having to manage the paths and ride layouts and you did it. this is damn good
in my city we used to have a roller coaster by the beach, they blew it up for a movie back in the 70s. lately I've been thinking wouldn't it be cool to make a micro park, super dense, like a park inside a skyscraper. you just make me want to do it more now. off to buy a lotto ticket
It’s probably already been done before but this video gives me the idea to create a “gauntlet” of rides that guests have to go on in order to leave. Connect one exit to another entrance so that there is no exit back
That's obviously the reason why RCT 2 is THE best theme park ever made. Because it's possible to create something absolutely amazing with masses of people in a small compacted area of 25 square meters by 25 square meters. Yes now there's a similar game with better graphics called Parkitect which is a RCT2 with better graphics but it's sill in alpha and I would not be surprise that the company whose making it suddenly stop the project. Parkitect don't even have the fiftieth of what RCT2 has.
I made a scenario like this in RCT2 - a 15x15 area. The park stacks up really high and I didn't realize how difficult the objective would be when I set it, but I beat it! Of course, everyone hates the crowdedness and the mechanics can't find any of the rides to fix them, but it works pretty good and the park rating is >950.
Nice engineering! Sidenote: I know this isn't the focus of the video, but I really love how the red path looks with the wood supports, and it makes me sad that you can't mix and match supports and paths in RCT2/OpenRCT2 (yet).
This is an easy scenario once you understand that putting multiple shuttle loop coasters next to one another will quickly get you to the required park value of $10,000. Each shuttle loop coaster contributes $2,000 to the park value.
Awesome park. It would've been nice to have a real-time video of the completed park at the end though, to see all the rollercoasters going at their normal speeds. :-)
I was on six flags park on rct2 when I had to force my guests in the park to complete the objective then as soon as I did so 200 guests left in 10 seconds
I'm not sure what RCT ACCESS is. but what I have is RCTLL install from an original disc and patched with the required windows xp patch, running with WINE in Ubuntu... is this something I can use???
ahh, well, I might wait then, I just installed it after years of not playing with the goal to play through all of the scenarios in order... something I don't think I accomplished as a kid
*sigh* i always hate asking this but kevin mcleod has made ALOT of instrumentals and i dont wanna have to go through every song so....whats the song name out of curiousity?
Ahhhh, the days before OpenRCT2. Back when building cool rides and managing space for more cool rides was the priority...instead of spending 50 hours building some rinky dink walls and scenery that only serve to add minor aesthetic value, and exploiting weird OpenRCT2 functions that are basically just visual hacks. I prefer the simple core gameplay.
Your doing more than you have to. All you have to do is build 5 or 6 shuttle corkscrew coasters and you'll have 20,000 in park value. Then just replace them in year 3. It literally is a cakewalk. I beat this easily by doing that and I didn't have to use this strategy. It is impressive to see, however I think it's way too complex.

I guess Vatican City has no excuse not to have a theme park now.

I've tried this. This is hard. Really, really hard. I'm impressed.

Oh, the cheap shuttle loop..classic.
Or how about the corkscrew rollercoaster from Marcel Vos? Only a corkscrew, that's it!

still better that the new games in the franchise.
RCT2 was a solid game... RCT3 was just ok...
RCT2 is better for me, but RCT3 keeps crashing because its 3D

My older brother was really good at this game. His Micro park looked similar to this. My mind was blown away when I saw it LOL
FYI you could build an entire park underground, and then build a completely new section on top of that.
Not in the first Roller Coaster Tycoon.
this or something of the like would make a nice tabletop amusement park, plug it in and watch it go
Nabre Labre Holy shit that would be awesome.
But it would be a pain in the ass to assemble. IKEA has nothing on this

Oh, so that's why it's called Micro Park.
It demands extremely painful MICROmanaging.
Man those are some sick architectural skills there. great job!
This park would be great for minimizing handymen.
and they won't wander off to the middle of nowhere to mow the fuckin grass
Sol Invictus
I always turned off grass cutting. To hell with the weeds.
Now I'm curious what a neural network would come up with if you tried teaching it to make parks like this in even smaller spaces.

I think I had a nightmare like this once...
Did you complain to the powers that be that the park was confusing and you couldn't find the exit?
Imagine if there were an earthquake? Half the rides are basically floating anyways so who knows.
If there was an earthquake, nothing would happen. It's all reinforced with insertfantasymetalthatcanwithstandanythinghereium.
if Kowloon had an amusement park
we use to have 2
Nightmare to setup the handyman. Very good looking park! Congratulations!

playing RCT and RCT 2 for years now but i never thought about making a tiny park.
Micropark was actually a real scenario.

This one of the greatest memes in gaming history. Truly a classic.
I'd hate to be the guy that has to make the maps for this park for the guests, how would you approach that?
You give them a tablet with a 3D map app for the park.
@@kevinr.9733 And Charge an arm and a leg to recharge the tablet after ten minutes
Shoutout to those wooden supports, doing God's work.
This is giving me a huge theme park vibe. Probably the small amount of space is doing it :D
