Could be the start of a Brisbane dynasty here. The No.1 draft pick in Levi Ashcroft to come in next year and then Sam Marshall. Have a great mix of young talent and experience in that team. Exciting times for Lions fans.

I love Lions, but I can't help but feel their resurgence coincided with Max Holmes coming off the field during the 3rd and eventually being subbed off. If they play like they did first half, Swans will destroy them. The amount of Lions players I saw second-guessing themselves and giving hospital hand passes 🤯🤯🤯🤯 It also took a while for some of their big name players to get into the game.
Once Oscar hurt his shoulder the game changed so the same thing can be said

Geelong Supporter here: I was going into this game confident but wasn't going to be too worked over if we lost. The fact we made a Prelim after finishing 12th last year has simply amazed me. Brisbane were the better team by far, and the fact we only lost by 10 points for playing only one half of footy is impressive. Although I hate how we always give ourselves chances when we play bad, it's so annoying to watch

Brisbane could win the Premiership and have the #1 draft pick. If you need any evidence that father-son selections are ridiculous, you need look no further than that.
Could say the same about Garry Ablett, both daicos boys, Darcy Moore, Sam Darcy. The 5 father sons port have access to this draft (not even kidding there's 5 Bourgognes) the blues have two, crows have a couple, Hawthorne have at least one. Not the lions fault Levi is the best out of the lot

@@Tosicc567 I agree with all the others you have named. I've always thought the whole notion of father son selections to compromise the draft that is supposed to be about equalisation is ridiculous. It is based on pure dumb luck. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world where they have a draft to select players. My comment wasn't to point the finger at Brisbane but rather at the AFL for allowing this.
@@Tosicc567 You're missing the point that father-son priority draft picks unnecessarily compromise the draft. Your argument about no guarantees in the draft are irrelevant. I don't want academy priority draft picks either, but as it stands the only clubs that should be entitled to them in very limited numbers are GWS and Gold Coast because they have close to zero history and therefore can't realistically have father-son selections. Both Brisbane and Sydney shouldn't have them because they are long established clubs going back to the Fitzroy and South Melbourne days. Relocation didn't change that.
It's not really the number 1 draft pick. They just end up with the player they were always going to get.
Richmond well still get the actual No.1 pick they would have picked regardless.

Also it's not my game, I'm an AFL fan just comparing it to the biggest sport on the planet where you don't get spuds playing at the highest level.
He'll claim he was injured. I thought he may have claimed he couldn't take the kick so he could hand it off to someone else, but he didn't despite never looking confident, not even from point-blank range.
injured, exhausted and his teammates were telling him to hurry up because they still would've been down if he scored the goal. He also wasn't the only player to miss easy goals. Lions players did it, and with less pressure.
Both teams played like juniors for the first almost 25 minutes. No goals were scored and they both fumbled and were all at sea. if Brisbane does that with Sydney, it's good night said the fox. 🦢🏆
Please the Swans are one of the slowest starting teams, if the lions are on from the start next week they could be up 8 goals at qtr time
