Making sounds while eating can be a sign of respect and satisfaction, demonstrating that the food is delicious. This cultural nuance contrasts with dining etiquette in many Western countries, where eating quietly is typically preferred!
There may be some room for debate here. I was taught that slurping noodles is socially acceptable, but noisily eating is considered rude in most regions of Korea. Privately among friends & family (such as this setting), some are more lax about the rules. I was informed that this would not be acceptable behavior in general, unlike in some other Asian countries.
I was curious about this so I've dug into it a bit too... And I think it lands in a place where polite public manners are to eat quietly and even hide your mouth while you chew, but privately and among friends you can enjoy food more openly and loudly. If you watch the episodes where Suga is hosting someone older, he practically doesn't eat anything 🤣 he's being very polite.
Giant mouthfuls of food are definitely more acceptable in Korea than here in my part of the US though 😂
@evantesseract737 Absolutely more acceptable and even the noise is not as off-putting as it is here in the US. I just knew that Korea was not in the same vein as China, where it's considered complementary. There are levels to this, lol.

😅OMg, I love JK's karaoke after his 1st Suchwita episode! It's sooo cute how the staff allowed him to be his wacky self and recorded it for ARMY to enjoy. Then they joined in at the end of that one song ... honestly I would have done the same!!
It made me happy because I think about the staff, you know? And it was so obvious they were loving their jobs that day. 💜
I always like when we get to hear staff laughing behind the camera, too, and when the artists share their food with camera operators... They work hard to create the things we love to watch, it's nice to get little glimpses off them being treated well.
And honestly every camera person assigned to JK for Run BTS deserves a lifetime supply of whatever they like to eat for the amount they've had to run to keep up with him 😂

Boys very often document their process of making an album. For solo works we have: SUGA: Road to D-DAY (making of D-DAY, Disney +), Hope in the Box (Making of Jack in the Box, Disney +), Jimin's Production Diary ( making of FACE, Weverse). There were also some lives from RM, making of Indigo, and live from Jin making of the Astronaut. We don't have JK's one out yet, nor we have Jimin and Jungkook drinking/travel show. They prepared so much for us before enlistment! 🥲

PS. 48:24 This was in London at Wembley Stadium. It was an encore stage, they had only one song left to sing but is wasn't this one. It was a huge ARMY project made with the BTS' staff. At the beginning of the concert they showed a message that they'll play chorus from Young Forever and they want ARMY to sing to the boys. They were emotional for many reasons, it's a very meaningful song and it's a Korean song sang by English speaking ARMY. There are beautiful fan cams and official videos, I highly recommend checking them out! After, boys had to sing the last song from the setlist Mikrokosmos, they were still in tears.
This makes me cry. They make so much commercial content for us 🥹💜💜
47:26 This was at the 2nd day of the 2-day concert of the Love Yourself Speak Yourself World Tour at the Wembley Stadium in London in 2019. I was there both days and saw all of this. They were supposed to sing the song Mikrokosmos as ending song but Big Hit secretly prepared the song Young Forever for ARMY to sing to BTS. Before BTS came back on stage they showed on the screen they prepared another song instead of the usual and told us to sing Young Forever as soon as the countdown is finished on screen without BTS knowing. They even put up the lyrics in English and on how to sing in Korean. The song Young Forever is a special comfort song to BTS when they struggled to stay in the industry between 2015-2016. They were hit left and right a lot during that time and almost disbanded at that time. The song Young Forever is part of the trilogy album '"The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" and this is on the last album "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever" which was released in 2016. So when ARMY sang this song to BTS is like ARMY comforting BTS of the hard times they had so they got emotional since they didn't expect this.
After you finish all the episodes that have BTS members as guests I suggest checking out episode 20 because there's a surprise about half way through 😉 (And Taemin is very cool himself too)
Love this episode ! You need to watch the episode with Taemin because he's a close friend of Jimin and Jimin shows up as well unannounced and it gets very very funny 🤣

Suchwita suga makes me miss them so much and seeing Jungkook so happy makes me happy too, Jungkook and V are each other's biggest support system and they have both said that multiple times, they are the two who have said they feel the most comfortable together and are the happiest with each other, Jungkook was very shy when he joined BTS and always said that V brought him out of his shell and helped him, Their relationship is very beautiful, They share everything, know everything about each other, and are always together

Thank you for your reaction- you are one of my favorite reactors. When you go to a BtS concert- you need to get an ARMY bomb. It’s Bluetooth and controlled so the audience becomes part of the concert experience!
Not trying to pick on you, but the ‘smacking’ of eating some food or certain soups or noodles is a good thing to do in some cultures. I’m also from an Asian culture and we do this to say to the ones who cooked or just having it that it’s a delicious meal and we are grateful. lol! I did see the notification for your album review but haven’t watched it yet sadly. I will for sure! In this moment, I can’t remember the name of the song in Golden, but JK sang it in Times Square. it’s actually one of his slower songs as he described. I love Standing next to you, yet this other one hits me in the heart! I enjoyed you watching this Suchwita and V’s surprise appearance. I still wonder if JK took his meat cake home. I’m sure he did!
I remember seeing the norabaeng several times and, now, this reminds me of his livestreams! He’d drink, eat, sing, do whatever and took requests still like he did when they were much younger. The fact that he stayed there for about an hour after and they showed clips is so funny! Also including the staff who was so into it! I love it! 😂I was laughing at him chewing while singing bc who can do that so well?! JK!
JK did say somewhere to the effect that he was spending a lot of time at home, drinking, working out, being lazy and him doing his album got him out of that rut. I’m glad he took time to do what he wanted especially since he really did go live so much it was great! He truly misses ARMY. All of the 7 kings do! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🥰. Yes, V is really buff! He said he wanted to gain a certain amount of weight and muscle while he was in the military on the last Live and he really has! I love all of them as BTS and I love all their solo work that showcases each of them. I so can’t wait for 2025! Someone explained the Wembley Staidum and you should check that out, how the staff told ARMY before BTS even knew and then how it happens! Thank you again!!!!😊

JK's documentary hasn't been released yet. He did a GCF film, but that is like a behind the scenes. If he did a documentary, we haven't seen that one yet. J-Hope and SUGA have documentaries on Disney plus, Jimin has his Production diary, and J-Hope has his second docuseries about his dance journey on Amazon Prime video. RM has an album interview and a Vlog for Indigo. RPWP doesn't have anything else yet. we will see. JIN will be next to release an album after JIMIN.

At Yoongi's concert D-Day the final, on the last day, he was really emotional and couldn't sing for a few songs. and ARMY's Sang it for him word for word. ARMY's can sing and rap all BTS songs. It's awesome.

For me GOLDEN was my least favorite solo album but that doesn't mean that I dont see and feel JK's hard work and love he put in his album. I am so proud of him and I loved that the whole world could see and hear how extremely talented he is. We are all so lucky that he loves us so much and it hurts me when he thinks he didn't do enough for us. We are all so lucky to have him in our lives
I love that he did it and it made him happy, and I think he absolutely succeeded at exactly what he was trying to do with Golden. Most of it isn't really to my taste musically, though.
Which is okay. He doesn't need to cater to me 😂 I do hope he'll give us some music he writes, though, later - I'd love to see what comes out of his amazing mind. 💜
And yes! He's given us almost half his life and he's given up so much for it. I hope he makes new music, but I don't think he owes it to us or the world.

It was the most beautiful episode, amazing passion, and Jungkook was very happy, and Taehyung was always like Jungkook's first supporter ,they've always shown to us they are the closest and we have known that for a fact, they just have the best relationship ever and have the most special bond in the world and to be able to see a little bit more of that is so exciting, they are for real soulmates, and the way jungkook automatically lit up and started giggling as soon as he see Taehyung, he doesn't react that way to anyone else

The timing of the military thing is interesting. Because JK is so young compared to the others, he could have waited four more years before enlisting. That's the remainder of his 20's... four prime years that he could have kept the momentum and been pushing his solo career. Who knows where that would have led?
Instead, JK chose to prioritize BTS. He didn't want to be the only member with that obligation still hanging over his head (and who can blame him? that would be so stressful). He didn't want to be the cause for another 18-month group hiatus down the road. Other kpop boygroups tend to stagger their service time, to try and minimize the impact on group activities, but all that does is extend the time it takes for the whole group to reunite. BTS doesn't operate like that (plus, what are they gonna do without their main vocalist, really?).
It sucks, but I think he made the best choice he could. They're going to be so much freer when they get out. Plus, this way, JK was able to enlist as a "companion soldier" with Jimin, so at least they have each other for company and moral support while they're stuck in there. Busan bros fighting 😆
Speaking of those two, I'm super excited for their travel vlog/show/whatever it is!

The clip of ARMY singing Young Forever was recorded in London and it was a surprise for BTS hence their reaction. I think they were about to play Mikrokosmos (deffo add this song to your list, its pretty much an ARMY anthem) It was even more special because the UK fans were singing in Korean
ARMY singing along is normal. For example when Suga broke down on his last concert day ARMY valiantly sang for him. This, however, is a clip from their Wembley performance where ARMY (with help from the company) surprised the guys and sang Young Forever. It wasn't even on the setlist! You should check it out. I love the entire album but my favorite song is standing next to you. I’m adducted to that song. JK is my bias and I have always felt he could sing anything. His voice is unreal. I understand how you feel. These guys have so much more in them they haven’t really touch their full potential yet.

V is the only BTS member in Special Forces...anti terrorism SDT unit..a part of Korean Military Police doing Special missions under the command of the South Korean President..V had to pass Intelligence tests, physical tests, military interview to get into Special Forces..and he got accepte and he is the best .. When it first came out, Hate You was my favorite from “Golden”. But now Seven has taken its reign back. 😂 (Martin, have you heard the Lofi version of Seven? I love that one even more than the original.) SNTY and Somebody are great as well.

It was a total surprise for BTS when the audience sang "Young Forever" . They were just about to sing Mikrokosmos. It was at Wembley Stadium and the most touching thing to me was that it was primarily an English speaking audience who sang them their song IN KOREAN. They were blown away and very emotional. I can't imagine how that must have felt for them. Thanks for reacting.

Not on the set list army coordinated with staff and wanted to sing to BTS. BTS was totally surprised.
In Truth untold in Argintina I think, Jimin's voice was not the best, The army's saw he was having trouble and snag his parts for him. Jimin melted in tears on stage and jung kook finished for him. Later in the talk on stage, Jimin apologized and told ARMY when they sang for him he was overwhelmed and so happy. LOL.

Jungkook could have not joined the army now, but he did it for the sake of BTS and the members and for them all to be together in 2025. Jungkook joined the buddy system and in this system also there were Jin and Jimin but they are all In different sections, Jin is in Sergeant & Assistant Instructor. Jimin in Military Fire Direction Center (brain of the artillery). Taehyung in SDT (special duty team to counter terrorism). Jungkook in Kitchen Police/cook-supp batallion. Jungkook loves cooking very much and I am happy that he is in the section he wants ..❤️🩹

kind of! jimin and JK enlisted under the buddy system, so they will remain stationed together until discharged. They spent 5 weeks at the 5th division training center with Jin (where he was an instructor) before getting transferred to an artillery battery in the mountains to the northeast. I won't post which unit it is, but if you read blogs from k-army, it's a pretty open secret. Also, it makes perfect sense, because it's in a really remote area where fans won't go looking for them. The downside, from what I've read, is that cell service is really bad up there. 😅 And yes, Jimin is FDC, Jungkook is kitchen police, which is honestly perfect for him haha. Different jobs on the same base, so I imagine they hang out (well knowing them, probably work out) in their evening/weekend off-hours.
@@z0feyaYes I know buddy system has a lot of departments and a lot of jobs. Just because they are in the same system does not mean they are together. They are not together all the time. The Korean army talked a lot about this, and each department has different people in a different place. Jungkook, for example, chose the cooking section. He is with the people who chose the cooking section, like him, and in a place of their own. The same is true for the rest of the sections. I am happy that each of them chose the department they wanted and the job they wanted, and yes, pictures spread of Jungkook with his friends in a restaurant last week. Maybe he took a vacation and went to see his family, friends and rest members. I read a lot about the job of cooking in the army, it is very difficult and they work all the time and wake up very early at 3 am and cook while they are armed 😮💨 I hope all members are safe
Tae drinks the least out of the members. Not sure if you noticed on his episode, he brought wine, but ended up switching to something nonalcoholic and dumped half of his wine into Suga’s glass.
ARMY surprised BTS by singing Young Forever to them. BTS was supposed to start a different song, but the Young Forever music started. They looked at each other shocked, because they thought it was a production mistake, but then ARMY started singing to them. It was beautiful. There is a video of it online.

Yeah no. Taekookers love to claim V recorded Layover at JK's place but he didn't. In JK's own words, from his 1st Stationhead live for 3D: "Ah, Taehyung hyung’s album! He suddenly contacted me and was like, ‘Can I try practice recording at your place?’ and I was like, ‘Suddenly’? He didn’t record the final at my place!"
JK has some recording equipment in his apartment. V invited himself over to practice on it, much like the way he invited himself onto this episode of Suchwita lol. JK and V were super close when they were teenage trainees, because they were close in age and V, who was outgoing, helped JK get over his shyness. But that was years ago, and they both have said repeatedly that they're closer with other members now.
