I agree, am really enjoying your videos and learning so much. Very clear description of techniques and step by step production all comes over great. Brilliant thank you.
That’s the point, the physics of the lightning is the same regardless of the equipment used. I will be doing a video demonstrating the same techniques with almost no equipment in the future. Thanks for watching.
Very effective tutoring that is rarely encountered online, direct to the point without any confusing twists. Superb! However, I was surprised that the highlights on leaves of the fruit and the floor of the box were left without attenuating them. I seem to think that the effect on the veins would have been more pronounced if the highlights were attenuated. Thanks.
Wonderful video, I wish I could do something like that so I could paint those gooseberries. Sadly, I don't have the equipment or room in my very small home . Loved watching what can be done though.
I will bear that in mind, I know everyone says it’s not about the equipment, but it really isn’t. The lighting techniques can be applied universally. The physics of lighting and photography is exactly the same regardless of the equipment used. Thanks for watching.
I am really enjoying these videos and have been learning a lot. Would you do a similar video showing the techniques that you would use to take a picture of an item of jewelry, especially one with diamonds and colored stones? I can never seem to get the reflections and color balance right.
For those trying to source the subject of this week's video, I believe the Physalis alkekengi is also called "Chinese Lantern." Chinese gooseberry seems to be related to the kiwi fruit. Regardless, another inspiring lesson in artificial lighting!
Thank you so much for your teaching!!! I enjoy and always learn from your videos!!! I'm sure that you have answered this question before however I'm a recent subscriber and wonder the tripod and the head tripod you use, it seems very easy and fluent the way you put the camera on and the adjustments you make to the tripod, would you share name and model please? Greetings from Mexico!!

In this case small is better...! if you use a very small flash strobe, is will not need to be so far back.
I am really enjoying and learning a lot from your techniques. Is there anyway you could use more budget friendly equipment? Brilliant teaching videos!

@@CameraClubLive Thank you do much!!!
Can’t find gooseberry here. Looking around for something else that might work. Any ideas out there?
You could try very thin slices of kiwi fruit or anything like that. Thanks for watching.
Can you set the shutter speed to 1\2000 with the flash and take a picture?
Don't know why you want to, but yes if you use HSS.
