give reboot credit vilgax credit where its due. he did manage to play around with Celestialsapien DNA for a bit. (though honestly his AntiVilgax transformation earlier in the film seemed more effective overall) but yeah no og vilgax is still best vilgax
The classic Vilgax, just the look alone, is enough to tell that you need a LOT more powerful alien like himself to do some damage but will still be durable against whatever comes
Classic Vilgax is an absolute menace. He has an intimidating presence, vast resources at his command, a sharp tactical mind, he is a major physical threat, and he is singularly determined to get that watch off of Ben's wrist by any means necessary. This is why Classic Vilgax is not only the best Vilgax, but one of the best villains in the Ben 10 franchise.
He worked in the classic series because he's the typical looming villain that remains threatening until the very end of the story. Like how the Firelord also had so much build up in the avatar (he didn't even make a full appearance until the last season). Or even Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. You get my point. That's what I noticed in most shows and movies nowadays. Especially for ones that are designed to run for a long time. Their villains are mostly one shot and get beaten in an episode or the end of one season.
4:50 I always saw it as Vilgax being absolutely shocked by the fact that everything it took to both defeat him and take away Dagon's power is a simple stab.
I used to think diamondhead was the strongest because he was made of diamond after all, the strongest thing but when vilgax one tapped diamondhead, Vilgax officially became peak villain
What I think makes Vilgax so cool is the intro. The whole reason Vilgax doesn’t show up himself to get the Omnitrix is because he literally can’t due to his ship exploding in the first episode. He sends goons and machines to get the Omnitrix for him while he recovers, but he eventually heals enough to be able to get down and do it himself, due to all of his previous plans failing.
I was sheeting my pants from classic Vilgax. I was 6 when classic came out. Been immediately hooked. I remember every time I saw an episode with him, it was just so scary, because there was no way for Ben to win against him in physical battle, and that was apparent from the first time they fought. I genuinely felt the pressure and the stake of their encounters.
He worked because everyone took him seriously, so that meant that we, the audience, should. As Ben got more confident fighting him, he seemed less threatening. If this kid isn't scared, why should we be?
@@LostStudios73 Yep, they should have had Ben some what affected mentally by Vilgax. Even if not afraid, he should be serious mode at all times when Vil is involved, due to the traumatic events of their first encounters. Ben getting Vilgax a Happy Meal was when they had given up on anyone taking him seriously. They treated that Space Aussie as more of a threat than Vilgax in OV.
@_V.Va_ they should have made even mentioning vilgax . The entire crew stopped joking around and become serious, making it seem like vilgax was not some villian of the week he's a monster to the point where even so much mentioning his name causes even the greatest hero to freeze hell have proffesor paradox freeze if someone mentions vilgax like thats how big of a threat he is
While I think the UAF era is the best era for Ben 10, I do believe that Vilgax was definitely at his peak in the classic series. His presence felt way more grand, where in the other series he just kind of felt like a regular reoccurring villain. Tbh I actually think Kevin was my favorite villain in the original series, and my favorite character in the overall franchise due to his character arc, and chemistry with Ben.
Bro falls into the villain decay Orochimaru suffered. He may still be a villain, but compared to how he was originally, its impossible to take him seriously anymore. He's definitely not an ally to Ben, but... He knows that Ben is a rival but someone he can call if he ABSOLUTELY needs help, no matter how much he doesnt want to ask his arch nemesis for help.
Gonna start posting Weekly on Mondays, and next Video gonna be about JJK or One Piece 🏴☠️ Edit: Thanks for all the comments they’re gonna take me some time to get through 😊
Also the fact when Kevin Levin says "No matter where i went in the galaxy, They kept bringing your name up. So lets see how tough u are" and then Vilgax just starts bodying Kevin.

The dream of my childhood self who grew up with classic Ben 10 is that it gets the samurai Jack treatment. Retcon everything after the classic show and give us an adult, darker show that has grown along with its audience cuz we aint kids anymore
I agree so much with you. classic Vilgax is the goat and they nerfed my boi to the ground. imagine what if OV Ben would fight the OS Vilgax after training for 6 years and not going through that "conqueror of ten worlds" phase. The only result we have close to my vision is Future Vilgax from Ben 10,000 episode
Ben 10k Vilgax is a whole ass nightmare. You tell me that this man that bodied 6 of my 10 aliens is back, and he has counters to each one?? He even has counters to the ones I didn't use yet?! AND HE STILL WANTS THE WATCH?!
Classic Vilgax has the most aura in all of Ben 10. Even in classic Ben’s future, Animo who is one of bens biggest villains, aimed to bring back Vilgax😂
Vilgax even has reasons to hate tennysons I mean what grandpa max did to him when he was younger lol 😂 (Spoiler:- He tied vilgax to a rocket launched the rocket to space which crashed and exploded on his ship he was in pieces and has to escape and reconfigure his body ) Thats how he got buff after augments
Something I love about Vilgax in the classic and before that in the timeline is that he was always a man of his word. He helped Maltruant, spared Gwen and Max for Ben, and didn't betray Kevin in the null void. Just for all of them to betray or desert him. No wonder he betrayed any of his future allies.
Great video man, one thing I’d say for some constructive criticism is to implement more synonyms. For example between 1:26-1:41 (15 seconds) you said omnitrix 6 times. Half of these easily could’ve been replaced by words such as device, watch, or even just “it”. This is repeated a couple times throughout the rest of the video too with other words. Such as the aura part of the video. Between 2:50 and 2:58 (8 seconds) you said aura 4 times. Most of these could be replaced or rephrased to sound less clunky. Still a great video man, just trying to point out areas that could be improved really easily for the future video to be even better 😁
7:30 the omnitrix transformes ben into somthing that will save him, if an attack would kill him (will not work if the attack only knocks him out, i think) but yeah kinda plot armor...
The aura thing is what I feels really made Classic Vilgax stand out so much. Just the fact that he shrugs off everything Ben throws at him, and he only stays ahead of Vilgax whenever he's got the ability to change quickly into new forms. His first proper appearance, Ben threw practically his whole playlist at the guy, and nothing really works - or at least, not for long.
Classic Vilgax was perfect, in UAF he was alright, Omniverse i don’t want to talk about it and the reboot was a different take but still bad i just liked the fact Ben actually could turn into his species for a bit but the best version and more intimidating was the Original series and kind of UAF the rest don’t count at all.
Bruv he had two great episodes where he was intimidating as f. Uaf vilgax was a thanos rip off who got his ass kicked by any other alien despite having the power of 10 planets. He was an embarrassment who came asking for bens help and actually had a code of honor? Like you were going to unalive children in classic. And he's played as this anti hero warlord while he is sposed to be a banished criminal mastermind.
I disagree, Vilgax was treated with respect by the writers in the entirety of Classic. And my point about Omniverse Vilgax being a bum still stands. At least UAF Vilgax could actually fight and conquered ten worlds, whereas Omniverse Vilgax was scared to fight the Attea and her bounty hunters, Attea for Pete's sake!!!
@@IronDoom-e5n he still beat Ben with an inch of his life in malgax attacks. And have you seen the incursions? Their army is 10 times the size of vilgax with way better weapons he would get obliterated. Vilgax got his ass kicked after concerning 10 planets by diamond head. He abosorbed dagons power only to get oneshoted. He came begging for bens help and let him go despite having him at his planet (he's supposed to be a dude who would unalive children like it's nothing). He got beat by Ben every single time he never won against Ben in the whole uaf let that sink in.
@@hassanabdullah2425 First: He did not beat Ben "within an inch of his life" Ben was just winded and he only did that with albedos help Malwares armor to do that so that doesn't count. Second: Vilgax was not fighting the entire incursion race, it was just Attea and her bounty hunters in an empty prison. Mind you, he beat the shit out of "six six" in secrets of the Omnitrix. Third: Vilgax needed Ben's help because Ghost Freak could possess his people, something he couldn't counter and Ben was the only one who could trap Ghost freak back in the Omnitrix. And while yes he was beaten by Diamond Head, he did beat Big Chill, Jet ray, Humungasour and Chromastone some of Ben's most powerful aliens at the time. Before Omniverse Vilgax ever got the Malware armor what did he do?? Nothing he was just a joke of a Villian, who was played for laughs.
@@IronDoom-e5n it's hilarious his hands were binded and if he pissed off attea the whole incursion army would have obliterated him. He begged Ben for help and then let him go despite having the best chance to beat him. He beat Ben after taking the malware armor that's called being smart and knowing your enemy. He knows he can't beat Ben without external help. I mean the uaf literally is a documentation of all the Ls vilgax takes. He also pretty much destroyed all Ben 10s. "You stabbed me" after all that build up. At least it didn't take itself seriously when it was making jokes. Someone literally sat down to write this. He actually appeared 3 times excluding gags. And he betrayed Ben and removed all Ben 10s from existence and whooped bens ass.
I love the Vilgax from "Ben 10: Dark Mirror". Him as a rebel hero works surprisingly well. Lots of "Ben 10" villains work as heroes and vice-versa, surprisingly. Except Ghostfreak, Sublimino and Zombozo. I like them more as villains.
He lacks a backstory and what motivated him into being what he is today. I'm not gonna compare him to Thanos who had a family, backstory and entire lore explained in comics for decades.

This vilgax is the greatest, he lives up to the expectation he serious and is taken seriously by literally everyone
Not only is he strong and a tank he can buff his strength even more and constantly solos almost all of ben aliens and he gets this respect that adds to his aura he ain't talking the whole time etc he just kicking ass he barely says anything and when he does it's to tell you he's hin
Let's not forget that moment in AF where Vilgax gets the Omnitrix but asks Ben how to activate it because he completely forgot how to do it and still ends up being tricked by him
That's -10,000 aura right there
In fairness the omnitrix changed and vilgax had no way of knowing whether or not it still worked the same
I SCREAMED when I saw this thumbnail! Vilgax is the baddest SICKEST dude in the galaxy! His Aura leaves you screaming awwwhhh shhhh!!! I loved this video solely on the shoutout! Vilgax is an extreme anti-cosmic badass with his appropriately ranked designed! I think one part you could’ve talked more about was how freaking hard he mirked K11 after breaking out of cryostasis after ages of floating through space! THAT IS FEAR!!! I love you, Man! VILGAX FTW!!!
I know everyone hates the "you stabbed me" line but my personal least favorite Vilgax line was in Alien Force season 3 episode 2 where he says this corny ass Disney sitcom line.
"Ben 10 I've come to kill you... Is now a bad time?" - insert sitcom laughing track
I remember that 🤣
Lol same

I'm glad we can all agree that the original had the best vilgax but let's not sleep on all his other version except the reboot...... Can we also forget about Mal Verdel
give reboot credit vilgax credit where its due. he did manage to play around with
Celestialsapien DNA for a bit. (though honestly his AntiVilgax transformation earlier in the film seemed more effective overall)
but yeah no og vilgax is still best vilgax
Reboot Vilgax is on par with Classic Vilgax wdym “except the reboot version”? 💀
@@bluefire9285 no he's not reboot isn't even close
@@Keith_Norman Reboot Vilgax is easily one of the highlights of the show. He’s super well-written
I didn't watch all of reboot but what I've seen from reboot Vil is better than all the other 3 before especially for a comedy heavy show like reboot.
Classic vilgax was just more intimidating than the other versions
The classic Vilgax, just the look alone, is enough to tell that you need a LOT more powerful alien like himself to do some damage but will still be durable against whatever comes
Lore of Why Vilgax Works so Well in Ben 10 Classic? Momentum 100
WHY ARE YOU ACTUALLY SO UNDERRATED?!?? you should remind ppl to subscribe in ur videos! Im subscribing
You are so underrated your gonna blow up soon trust
Vilgax was like nano machine son
Every version after the classic was a downgrade
Exactly!
I think what made clasic Vilgax so scary and powerful feeling is his buildup and how he made the powers of Ben feeling so weak
He worked because everyone took him seriously, so that meant that we, the audience, should. As Ben got more confident fighting him, he seemed less threatening. If this kid isn't scared, why should we be?
That’s the point, if they just wrote him to constantly be a threatening figure to Ben then he would be a threatening figure to us the viewer too
@@LostStudios73 Yep, they should have had Ben some what affected mentally by Vilgax.
@@_V.Va_ Vilgax was a threat in ov too
@_V.Va_ they should have made even mentioning vilgax .
Gonna start posting Weekly on Mondays, and next Video gonna be about JJK or One Piece 🏴☠️
Edit: Thanks for all the comments they’re gonna take me some time to get through 😊
Also the fact when Kevin Levin says "No matter where i went in the galaxy, They kept bringing your name up. So lets see how tough u are" and then Vilgax just starts bodying Kevin.
When the entire galaxy speaks your name in fear, you know you're on some sauron level fear
gotta 100% agree w the aura segment, classic vilgax was the only vilgax that got me saying ah shit when hes on screen
Future Vilgax in Ben 10,000 episode was also scary
Hey if you like Gas-Masked characters, I think you should play Dishonored.
Don't ask any question, just play the games in order (And their DLCs campaigns, also in their release order). Its a story-driven action game so you can pick it up anytime.
There's a total of 3 games of Dishonored so if you like the first one, you'll have a whole meal for yourself.
Man I really miss classic ben 10
I re-watched a few months ago
And it's so damn good
The dream of my childhood self who grew up with classic Ben 10 is that it gets the samurai Jack treatment. Retcon everything after the classic show and give us an adult, darker show that has grown along with its audience cuz we aint kids anymore
I grew up with the entire franchise and have enjoyed alien force, ultimate alien, and somewhat omniverse. There should still be the edgy adult sequel
Classic vilgax will always be my favourite
Classic Vilgax is GOATED. On my Mt. Rushmore.
I think it was Steven Blum. They changed his voice in AF and his villainous presence just didn't hit the same.
Your combination of talking about Jujutsu Kaiser and Ben 10 is very interesting and unique.
I do that mainly because I don’t want to get suck making content on one series/show
Vader is unlimited Aura
Vilgax and Slade are most badass Cartoon Network villains.
Vilgax was ❤classic❤
I agree so much with you. classic Vilgax is the goat and they nerfed my boi to the ground.
imagine what if OV Ben would fight the OS Vilgax after training for 6 years and not going through that "conqueror of ten worlds" phase.
The only result we have close to my vision is Future Vilgax from Ben 10,000 episode
Vilgax was so goated in the classic series that they couldn't replicate it for the rest of the series's
Vilgax definitely peaked in the Classic series. He just didn't feel that intimidating anymore in UAF and Omniverse.
Ben 10k Vilgax is a whole ass nightmare. You tell me that this man that bodied 6 of my 10 aliens is back, and he has counters to each one?? He even has counters to the ones I didn't use yet?! AND HE STILL WANTS THE WATCH?!
Instead of Aura you could've just said he's Presence, Menancing, Ominous, idk bro anything else but Aura 😭
It feels like each variation of Vilgax got weaker as the show went on
Classic Vilgax has the most aura in all of Ben 10. Even in classic Ben’s future, Animo who is one of bens biggest villains, aimed to bring back Vilgax😂
I made my own interpritation of vilgax being a combo of the classic and reboot, as well as traits from the other iterations
Vilgax even has reasons to hate tennysons
I mean what grandpa max did to him when he was younger lol 😂
(Spoiler:-
He tied vilgax to a rocket launched the rocket to space which crashed and exploded on his ship he was in pieces and has to escape and reconfigure his body )
Thats how he got buff after augments
Steve Blum. Who voices Vilgax in OS and OV.
Was meant to voice Vilgax in AF. But, due to scheduling conflicts he couldn’t return.
Wish he was able too
Vilgax : absorbs 10 greatest planet protector powers….beaten by a teenager with years of practise with Diamondhead….
This is awesome dude
Vilgax from the classic was actually scary
Something I love about Vilgax in the classic and before that in the timeline is that he was always a man of his word. He helped Maltruant, spared Gwen and Max for Ben, and didn't betray Kevin in the null void. Just for all of them to betray or desert him. No wonder he betrayed any of his future allies.
Grandpa Max = Obi wan who lived
Gwen = Princess Leila
Ben = Luke Skywalker but op
Vilgax = Darth Vadar with no limitation
based cosmic destruction ost in the background
I think he was best in Classic too. Also, he got multi shot by all those Bens and Gwen in that Omniverse moment to be fair, not one shot.
His design should had never changed
7:30 the omnitrix transformes ben into somthing that will save him, if an attack would kill him (will not work if the attack only knocks him out, i think) but yeah kinda plot armor...
The aura thing is what I feels really made Classic Vilgax stand out so much. Just the fact that he shrugs off everything Ben throws at him, and he only stays ahead of Vilgax whenever he's got the ability to change quickly into new forms. His first proper appearance, Ben threw practically his whole playlist at the guy, and nothing really works - or at least, not for long.
Vilgax is the Thanos of the Ben10 universe
Classic Vilgax beast
Ben 10 classic will always be the best Ben 10 of all time
Nice video! And I agree that Classic Vilgax has the most aura out all versions. Maybe even out of all Ben 10 villains
The Lost?
More like The Aura
Seems to be your favorite word hahaha
It is
Omniverse Vilgax was an absolute disgrace!!! They turned one of the most intimdating Villians of all time into a pathetic bum. 🤢🤮
Classic Vilgax amazing Vilgax
I love the Vilgax from "Ben 10: Dark Mirror". Him as a rebel hero works surprisingly well.
Lots of "Ben 10" villains work as heroes and vice-versa, surprisingly. Except Ghostfreak, Sublimino and Zombozo. I like them more as villains.
They ruined him in alien force and was made to be a joke in omniverse
Their was one vilgax joke in omniverse outside of that he was whooping bens ass. Uaf vilgax was just plain embarrassing.
Classic benten was scary
Like vilgax and ghostfreak scared me back then
Damn super Vilgax Glaze(I’m also a big fan of original series Ben 10 Vilgax)
Yep.
He was a much better villain back then.
Alien Force nerfed him and Omniverse ruined him
He was already ruined in AF. Go watch Primus and Secret of Chromastone. But UA and OV did bury him tho
@@matiasberto5684I know what you mean. I mean in Omniverse Vilgax leaves earth because he’s afraid of Ma Vreedle, who made him cry at one point
I was legit so scared for ben
In classic due to vilgax
They shoulda gave Vilgax more episodes in Classic Ben 10
The classic serious was just the best
He lacks a backstory and what motivated him into being what he is today. I'm not gonna compare him to Thanos who had a family, backstory and entire lore explained in comics for decades.
Plain and simple, this guy was an absolute terror whenever he showed up. Maybe they lightened up on his "aura" because of how scared kids were of him?
I can’t take Vilgax seriously when he doesn’t have his mask on
After classic Ben 10 was on a steady decline 🤷♂️
