Plus she almost sent him to prison a man w/ a ski mask that didn't rape her thanks to dylan showing up. Rebecca turned him in many times then played games w/ him pitting 2 convicted rapists against the other. How did Ms religion even get engaged to a convicted rapist in powell. Thank god she ran back to texas & todd made a very feeble attempt to stop her. He'd already seen blair was ride or die.
I love tnb when they are close friends. The chemistry just in them saying goodnight was great. I'd love them as a couple too but the writers always had some secret waiting to blow them apart whenever they were together romantically. I cant even count how many marriages & aborted weddings they had. I think 3 weddings blown. Tnb were one of the few couples that were entertaining when married. They were fun to watch during their first marriage until max ( who I think really wanted blair but bc of her reputation & luna couldn't be with her so he didnt want her with anyone else. It prob killed him that blair was rich & had a husband that adored her. In rl jdp was so jealous of rh. He would give interviews saying in 95 " that long haired kid gets all the storylines " well yea bc he was very complex young & in the 90s just fit perfectly with where the soaps had gone. A more serious & deeper direction than the glamorous 80s filled with adventure & wealthy people. Erika slezak who had been through many eps & head writers said in the 70s their literally was the wrong side of the tracks. Plus more cultures. The irish with the rileys the polish with the woleks & the siegel's with Jewish people & black with the grays & ed hall. She said she liked the diversity & the working people. She said the 80s became everybody was Rich which wasnt a good thing in her opinion bc she felt they needed a balance. So in the 90s they went back to oltls roots with diversity having black characters & latino & they created east llainview which was angel square with working class people as well as gangs & crime. For some reason erika in listing all the ep's she worked for dud not like Linda Gottlieb. I'm not sure why. Under linda oltl finally one a ton of Emmys for the rape story. Oltl was the red headed step child of the ABC soaps. I was shocked to see how little they were awarded Emmys compared to gh. I think by far oltl had the best group of actors. Other than erika & her record setting for an actress 6 emmys only a handful of actors won then in 94 they had 3 actors not even slezak win plus best writing & some other technical awards. I wish erika expanded more on her dislike of linda as ep. She just said " linda came in thinking she was gonna change daytime & she wasnt good for the show. Linda was there from 92 to 94 & that was really oltls last golen era. U had the homophobia story ending with the real aids quilt the gang rape story which I'd say was the most epic popular story that went beyond the daytime world. Main stream media covered it. It's also the storyline that was still referenced til the end of oltl. Then they did the hospital rapist story & re ignited the Dorian & viki fued with Dorian arrested finally after decades of suspicion & Dorian went on death row. Great great storytelling attention to detail character instead of plot driven the sets the wardrobe the music was perfect. Todd manning's theme was great. I also liked the todd & rebecca theme too.
Tnb were so much better as friends. This moat pathetic & I loved when she shot max & he helped her. When love gets involved they act like 2 year Olds going in circles. I also hate that when Todd literally was starting over & trusted her she betrayed him. Todd never recovered. Even though he & Blair remarried he never had the blind trust he had in Blair again.

@bjujubee I am curious to know what you think of RH with his current storyline. I read your comments on most of these vids and, being the expert you are on RH and his amazing acting abilities, I wonder if you share my opinion that he has lost his spark. I blame the writers somewhat, but he used to be able to play any storyline well, regardless of how crappy. If you are anything like me, you are extremely disappointed by this version of him.

The writers made a huge mistake by never having them together and happy for any period of time. It was really annoying for fans
