So many memories passing through my mind the only thing gotta say is long live to anyone who lived in the 90s and long live the Golden Age of Cartoons and Anime
Captain Planet, for all it's cheese, still has my favorite cartoon intro of all time. That bgm is absolute gold, and i've never been able to find that track without the voiceover. It's still the music that comes to my mind whenever i imagine anything remotely heroic happening lol.
My favorite in the 90's was Digimon. I came across that show by accident - was just walking past the living room one day and saw my younger sibling watching it, and I was like "hey this looks pretty cool". I got hooked in!
Probably the most surreal show for a kid to watch, but i allways stayed up late to see "Space Ghost, Coast to Coast". but then again... we had "Courage, the Cowardly Dog" to make us feel a mix of creepy, funny and just cozy.
You know what I just realized: 1) There was a DarkStalkers cartoon 2) For some reason Morrigan and Dimitri were on the same 'side'. Given the lore, the two absolutely loathe each other, but I'm not sure that 90s production execs could figure out how to have either a vampire or a succubus be a good guy.
They're not exactly noble characters even by the lore. Antiheroes at best. Less current evil at worst. And while they worked together in the show, they weren't exactly besties. It was the same vein as Cobra Commander and Destro: they work together for mutual gain, trade barbs, and while Dimitri is officially in charge (under Pyron, yes, the game lore was ignored almost totally) Morrigan looks for the first convenient time and place to screw him over.
I recall the music theme version I think. If I remember correctly I found it from an actual full episode, but I don't remember where. Try looking for a full episode somewhere. Sorry.
Wow, I hadn't even thought of "Budgie the Little Helicopter" since I was a little kid, but it used to be my favourite show. What an overwhelming sense of nostalgia.
I only had 3 channels so Saturday morning cartoons were a big deal. I would wake up at 7am, grab some cold little caesars pizza from the fridge and a few cans of Shasta and head back to my room. I wouldn't leave my room until 11am. Loved the 90s!
God I love Bureau of Alien Detectors, it was so fantastically dark for a kids show. A man gets eaten alive by a plant in the 2nd episode and he's actually dead. He isn't rescued at the last second or found alive in the plant's stomach later - he's just dead. Add to that a genuinely unsettling feeling that later episodes evoke (including a two-parter where Martians and/or Plutonians raise all of the Earth's military dead as cyborg zombies and overrun the world!) and you get an absolute, top-of-the-line winner in my books!
I do like that the 90s did not water down the content too much in most cases. It fully expected kids to be able to process more adult or dark themes and imagery or even blue humor as Yakko and co constantly showed.
Finally, GOD finally! I was looking Creepy Crawlers that's so far! I only remember it was a cartoon with monster from box and one of them was white with colorful stains - but he looking that in far episodes so i can't find the title. Thank you weru much! Ahhh how good. Oh btw. remember Bureau of Alien Detectors it was good trip, man that cartoon was waaaay to serious from kid, now I'm 28 and this is nice sc-fi show xD
Even though I am glad to see it, "Codename: Kids Next Door" started in 2002. I'm also surprised to see "Shinchan" here, and "Digimon" I thought for sure that was to "Anime" for this.
Going by the logic of the 80s Compilation, it seems like dubs that survived long enough for him to track down qualify as well. Although It'd be interesting to see an original language (if you will) compilation of Anime openings through the years. [Doesn't have to be on this channel, just a thought I had in the moment while writing this]
Andre Jg - Agreed, an Anime counterpart would be nice. Also going on your reasoning here do you think that we will see intros to the other 4 big questionable shows in a future part to this (DB, DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokemon)? I mean if Digimon got a pass here, how deep dose this rabbit hole go?
Thanks again for these, though this time I have to ask about a missing one. Was Cybersix not included for copywrite or something. It made it into the tail end of 1999, and it too awesome an opening to ignore.

Digimon theme song to this day is the most dopest theme ever! I miss this version of digimon and not the newer version with the crappy cartoon animation they have for it today smh
nancynobullets the best way to do it! It’s like world’s collide. Modern meets retro with this kinda stuff. Now all you gotta do is find the shows in full, stream it to the smart tv, and watch to your hearts content. That’s how I do it.
nancynobullets hey, it’s the best we can do now! Today’s tech has its ups and downs! That, right there, is an up right there. Just where to find the classics is the hard part. I, myself have been on a nostalgia spree today.
nancynobullets aaayyy, don’t forget the retro food though. If you lived close by, IDK where you are, but if you are close by, I can easily show you how to do it retro, from the shows, to the snacks.
How you gonna play the Captain Planet theme and not play the one that matters? Nice to see Captain Simian and the Space Monkey's in there. Good show. Used to watch it between The Tick and Silver Surfer. Wish you had a better version though.
That was a lot of Disney themes at the time. Either VERY light explanation of intent or just a catchy song. You could hum the first bit of just about any Disney cartoon of the time and many might know the words or at least the show.
C Bear and Jamal Only in the 90s could there be a cartoon about a boy and his talking teddy bear voiced by Tone Loc. For every creator that brought something fresh to the table, there was somebody who was creatively bankrupt and scraped the bottom of the barrel.
Comet raised a mesa to the western skies. With the sound of a thousand cattle drives. A chosen few would see the light and fight the wrong with right. Up on the mesa High above the clouds There's a world apart from all the rest. On Moo Mesa live the real cowboys standing up for law and order and livin' by the code of the west. Cleanin' up the territory Keepin' evil on its toes Takes a different breed of riding, roping, brave heroes. On Moo Mesa live the real cowboys standin' up for law and order And livin' by the code of the west. On Moo Mesa! (My childhood hit me so hard there)
Does anyone know the name of the animated tv series about this dog who lives with his owner and has a best friend that is a flea and or tick and for an example of a episode the dog has to save his owner from eating a poisonous mushroom
And you travelled to California to prove it once and for all, and found out that the Animaniacs were actually huey, luey, and dewey in disguise to make some extra cash on the side.. nice.

i was born in the 2000 so i have never heard any of this show except Darkwing Duck but ngl 90s cartoons has some good intros

My favorite in the 90's was Digimon. I came across that show by accident - was just walking past the living room one day and saw my younger sibling watching it, and I was like "hey this looks pretty cool". I got hooked in!
That was the Fall of 1999. Which, admittedly, was an awesome year for cartoons. But Digimon always felt more like a cartoon of the 2000's.
@@Theonetruewonderfly Yeah, some did continue on into the 2000s while others started off in the 80s.
Do you all want to watch 1990's cartoon with me ?

Darkwing Duck, Digimon, and Chip and Dale have legendary openings. The embodiment of what a 90's cartoons should be.

nancynobullets the best way to do it! It’s like world’s collide. Modern meets retro with this kinda stuff. Now all you gotta do is find the shows in full, stream it to the smart tv, and watch to your hearts content. That’s how I do it.
@@blind_t2 genius
nancynobullets hey, it’s the best we can do now! Today’s tech has its ups and downs! That, right there, is an up right there. Just where to find the classics is the hard part. I, myself have been on a nostalgia spree today.
@@blind_t2 yeah you're right about that man. Sounds like a day well spent.
nancynobullets aaayyy, don’t forget the retro food though. If you lived close by, IDK where you are, but if you are close by, I can easily show you how to do it retro, from the shows, to the snacks.
Wow, flashbacks
Great job on part 2!
Glad to see Bucky O'Hare in it.
Question, what happened when you got to Doug?
Cause all that was seen was a title card.
Doug is copywright. I had to remove it.
Ah, any others that didn't make it?
Cause you didn't any that didn't make it yet.
@@Zim999 just added the list. :) Keep in mind, theres a few that are out of order, cause im a bonehead.
Retro Crunch if only you had a second video platform you can share it in full.
I was waiting for this all week
Me too.. I wanted to put it out earlier, but messes up my video schedule.. so, will go out after my Friday news updates. :)
@@RetroCrunch I'm fine with the wait. Makes when I watch it that much more awesome
I only had 2 years of 90s memories from 1997-1999 being born in 1992. Have little to no memory of anything.
Let's get dangerous _>
Cadillacs and Dinosaurs sounds rad, I can't believe I never watched it before
Man why do ducks get all the great songs? Even the Duck Tales movie had a killer end theme.
Well, ducks are pretty great, so that only makes sense. ^v^
Ok but for real though, Nintendo where’s our Donkey Kong Country show reboot?
I miss the WB.
Wow.... You even put Citas World from BET on here. 👌🏿
ON this list only Darkwing Duck rules 😍😎
How you gonna play the Captain Planet theme and not play the one that matters? Nice to see Captain Simian and the Space Monkey's in there. Good show. Used to watch it between The Tick and Silver Surfer. Wish you had a better version though.
90s cartoon intros,Gilmore girls,gma summer concert series
Jeez, starting off with the brothers of grunt and flub, you sure are making this one a test of endurance...
THE 90’S RULED 💪🏻😁
Heck yeah! Sooooooo, I had to do something out today, while getting dressed, this shows up! Love this one!
4:01 I read his book once when I was a kid
The reason the Rescue Rangers song is one of the best is because it doesn’t introduce every character and explain everything.
That was a lot of Disney themes at the time. Either VERY light explanation of intent or just a catchy song.
You could hum the first bit of just about any Disney cartoon of the time and many might know the words or at least the show.
7:30 🎶You know I'm B.A.D.! I'm B.A.D.! 🎶
Bruno the kid! That's right! Bruce Willis had his own cartoon once.
C Bear and Jamal
Only in the 90s could there be a cartoon about a boy and his talking teddy bear voiced by Tone Loc. For every creator that brought something fresh to the table, there was somebody who was creatively bankrupt and scraped the bottom of the barrel.
Crash Box was one of my most nostalgic child hood shows ever and I have been looking for the name for months thank you so much
Codename: Kids Next Door is not a 90s show, it’s a 2000s show. It aired on Cartoon Network from December 6 2002 to January 21, 2008.
So apparently part 1 been blocked as a whole for copyright.
Not just Part 1 but Part 4 as well. Hopefully they can be fixed and re-uploaded. Love these cartoon into series.
I Feel So Old Watching These.
And I'm 21
Thanks for this
the kids next door was in 2002
Yeah, there's a few in these that are 2000s cartoons.
How did you miss David the Gnome? Or was that 80's?
i didnt. you missed reading the description.
Well, being as it's 2020, don't suppose we'll see a 2010s collection? Or perhaps a 2000s? Or even both?
i think this channel is about the 20th century and not the 21st.
retro is something from 40 to 100 years old, so in 20 years, 2000s cartoons will be considered retro
Yo don't watch this when you're super high, some of this shit is fever dream inducing!
Comet raised a mesa to the western skies.
With the sound of a thousand cattle drives.
A chosen few would see the light
and fight the wrong with right.
Up on the mesa
High above the clouds
There's a world apart from all the rest.
On Moo Mesa
live the real cowboys
standing up for law and order
and livin' by the code of the west.
Cleanin' up the territory
Keepin' evil on its toes
Takes a different breed of riding, roping, brave heroes.
On Moo Mesa
live the real cowboys
standin' up for law and order
And livin' by the code of the west.
On Moo Mesa!
(My childhood hit me so hard there)
Saturday at 9 AM CST!!! Cya then!
8 am EST. Lol
Man, Saturdays? What a good reference to Saturday Morning Cartoons dude!
Man I miss watching Captain Bucky O Hare
Ps pebble so kawaii
bucky o'hare needs to be either rebooted or even continued from where the original show left off
Thechicly it did. The beat em up arcade game was based off and is the last part of that story. Tho picking up from that would be cool.
My childhood tv show is kids me and my sister Watching that show on Télétoon french version
You got to separate these into groups like Disney cartoons, Cartoon Network toons etc. or it gets too confusing to sort out
I kinda thought A - Z was pretty easy. :)
Great job!
Keep up the great work & thank you for uploading!
CLYDE is a favorite. Saw it on This TV network.
awesome shows
I swear to God I saw Shin Chan in the 2000s seriously I never thought it was a 90s show
I thought the 80's were weird...and I'm only experiencing it after the fact.
34:14 if you dont remember crashbox, what are you doing my guy
Does anyone know the name of the animated tv series about this dog who lives with his owner and has a best friend that is a flea and or tick and for an example of a episode the dog has to save his owner from eating a poisonous mushroom
31:11 the manliest into song ever
Hold on that dragonfly looks like dino
I once had a theory that the nurse from Camp Candy had a face and boob job and ended up on Animaniacs.
And you travelled to California to prove it once and for all, and found out that the Animaniacs were actually huey, luey, and dewey in disguise to make some extra cash on the side.. nice.
@@RetroCrunch nah turned out they were Wilson Phillips in disguise
Or that Genie from Aladdin is actually the true villain from Princess and Cobbler
Cita‘S world caught me off guard. Where did you even find such things like that?
On your 80's one, you missed The Bluffers, too. Or was it blocked?
