I saw the same thing; it could be doing a weird thing where it's adding all of the available rigs together because the game considers them all to be in one spot.
@@calebmartin843This is exactly what is happening, if you examine stuff in traders it considers it to be a “stack” like how stacking backpacks adds their weight, but if you check in your stash it will appear correctly
The number of times I have been killed from 150-200+m away by some scav with a SKS soft point into my neck means that I will be rocking neck/throat protection till BSG fixes scav accuracy, that being never.
The Kirasa may suck because it’s blue, but it’s the only armor I wear for this exact reason. Cheap, built-in neck protection, and still takes swappable hard plates so you can upgrade it. It’s saved me from countless buckshot bush wookie x-ray vision scavs
AACPC should be removed form traders and crafting entirely at this point. There is no way anything better than it will ever appear unless they nerf that carrier. I think it being a very rare drop from containers and cases, or from Kaban's guards, is more than a good enough source of this carrier, especially that you can buy it from flea. It wouldn't change much at all in terms of balance, but would bring back some variety in meta. It being available from Ref LL3 for mere 22 GP is just absurd, twice that amount on LL4 would be far more reasonable
@@dic-vr2mx that too honestly. If I were to balance the armor economy myself, I would just ban class 3 soft armors from the market, and remove armor plates from all purchasable vests and carriers. But I think they will do something similar anyway, considering the lates interviews with Nikita, we are in a "test wipe" right now, and the next one is to be balanced for far slower progression
So, I’m glad to hear the APCPC is still the best plate carrier, but what about the best dedicated armor? I prefer to run a chest rig and armor combo. Also, do you have a sheet that lists the weights of the different plates in game? Would be fun to try and run different combos to see what’s the best mix
Slick has best thorax protection for the same reason as the CPC, but it does not have soft armor on stomach sides or side plate option (which protects stomach only) so you sacrifice stomach and neck protection for extra thorax armpit armor. Other than that basically any armor with class 3 soft armor that also covers the sides and can take side plates could be considered the best. Thor CRV is probably the lightest, while the Ghzel and Zhuk (green) provide neck protection and still don't weigh a ton, but you will have a ceramic front plate which means bad repair and lower effective durability than other options. Fort Defender and Killa armor don't take side plates, but give throat protection (defender only from the front) and still have acceptable weight, and then comes all the heavy chonker armors like Gen4, Zabralo, samurai redut, tan THOR, etc, which are usually considered too heavy.
He does mention your strat at 4:39 There is nothing wrong with it, having a class 5 front plate is the most important thing, so probably the best you can do at that level unless you have leveled ref and can get the CPC, etc.

My favorite strat for Tier 4 armor was the ANA M2 rig, which still only takes 1 plate and gives you 2. That gave me a nearly unlimited supply of midgame armor. Later on, my go-to is getting the hexgrid from Ragman's barter for 3 Rolers I believe? And then chucking those into whatever armored rig or body armor I want for the loadout I'm using. Usually I still just use an ANA M2 rig, but with the Tier 5 GAC UHMWPE plates. And yeah, then I'll use the TacTec craft to repair those plates.
@@cameraman1234567890aI can approve that. I lose my arms constantly in PvE but was quite lucky to not get shot in the throat. Yet, I tend to present more mass to the AI so that they have more to aim for. Seems to work fine for me.

Well well... So much for Ref 2-4 not being OP - as even with the free weekend it is still out of reach for people who don't have Arena and he just happens to be the only trader to directly sell the CCP rig, class 6 plates AND the stash keys that give you plenty of lvl 6 plates plus top ammo plus top weapons...
You still have to level up his rep. Took me 260 games to get to lvl 4 rep. That's 200h plus of gameplay. As you don't own Arena you have no idea how much of a grind it is to level up his reputation. Plus time you are putting in Arena your not doing main Tarkov quests so you fall behind trader rep there instead, its a trade off. Just buy it and see its not that easy.
@@tobyFOTS I saw it during the free weekend. 4-5h of play time for 3 sets of dailies plus weekly. 0.11 rep, 2 lega medals 3 million rubles and about 300ish GP coins? Beware of playing Tarkov Arena on the Chop Shop map if you hug the corner or wall on the edge of the map your more than likely to see players spawning right in front of you happen to me the first time on that last hero mode
One of the unique parts of Tarkov is how long you can spend overthinking your loadout, so I think they could balance in a little more depth to the plate system. Lightest weight + decent durability + best repairability makes Monoclete / GAC / KITECO plates a no-brainer in almost every situation. Given that Tarkov's okay taking artistic liberty with armor's stats, maybe ceramic plates could become lighter or the ultra-repairable UHMWPE plates become heavier or more breakable, given the rest of the stats. Most of the steel/titanium/aluminum plates feel like they'd be solidly balanced against each other (in weight/durability/repairability) if polymer didn't exist.
