You forgot to mention the New Frontier line! That was what showed me about "vintage heavyweight" jeans at 8.75oz those are so.e of the only ones i can comfortably wear in Texas summers!!!
I picked up a pair of the Craftsman in the Easy Guy fit. Thank you SO MUCH for going with a selvedge ID and a leather patch; those were my only complaints about the Frontiers. My "vegan leather" patch started fraying off almost immediately.

I wanted the jacket as soon as I briefly saw it on the livestream, but seeing all the details on these, very nice, if I didn't have so many jeans it would be a definite.
These were the ones I wanted most this season, but I'm right there with ya. I just ordered 3 pairs from the Easter sale and I have 35 pairs in need of fading. I got a little excited when I was working 6-10s out of state and making decent money. I was bored and had money, how could I not buy a ton of clothes lol.
And I'd say over 20 were purchased within the last few months...

Love the 9oz denim for the Arizona heat!
I love the fabric but I wouldn't expect it to be especially cool in the sun with that tight weave and dark colour.
If you size it right, a little on the loose side they'll be perfect. Even better after wash and the fabric starts to drape nicely.
What was considered lightweight back in the late 1800s if 9oz is considered lightweight today?
I do have a lightweight pair of 2x1 bibs from Round House that i still use for work and wanna fade to hell this summer.
I just want to say again that there should definitely be some more unsinged denim releases especially if its a slubby denim. Sometimes the singe can really flatten the thicker yarn to wear you hardly feel it. Id say for the next elephant's and slub stretch dont singe. Obviously the next possible ones, that aren't in progress. Also I was thinking along with an unsinged slub stretch selvedge, what about them also being LHT and greencast?
(Rant warning) I still need a LHT pair. Wish i caught the solid black Blue Owl edition pair. I was too caught up with useless stuff, like working 1o hours a day tryna beat up my 22oz big slub jeans. Those combs are so close to turning white. Maybe another month of wear and some washes. But overall, they are fading quite nicely. Bahzad knows, hes seen pics.
LHT. I might have to break my rule of no more jeans. Bahzad can't talk me out of it. More unsinged jeans too!
Well it's really my grama I'm afraid of. I have 35 pairs of jeans that need to be faded right now. I'm constantly wearing a pair of jeans, but I need to stick to a few regular pairs, one for work (was UB 22oz big slub for winter),one for after work (which have been my midnight slub stretch true guys) and for Sundays, which I've been wearing the kikko for a while. Yesterday I switched to an ecru pique pair of pants.
Need to get to work on the clothing rack, along with the list of work that needs done to the house...

@NakedandFamousDenim well they're mostly hanging up on both sides of my doors in 2 rooms at the moment, but they need more room to breathe. A lot have 2 pairs a hook since theres only 21 hooks. I can't wait until they are all on one rack. Or most...
Looks great! 😻 Does the two-by-one twill darken the denim? Meaning, would the same yarns in a three-by-one twill produce a lighter denim?
The weave makes the denim look darker because you see less of the weft (which is usually white) in this case, the weft is also dark, which makes for a darker overall appearance.
Been waiting for the lightweights to be released for my summer denim purchase. Will 9oz be the lightest weight release this season?
I think it's the last release of the season, but I would think so. That zip chore is awesome too...
Besides the MIJ 12 release, but that's not lightweight, and I don't think it's considered part of the "seasonal releases"

I love an unsinged denim myself.
This is the third year ya’ll have put out this workwear style, and the third time I’ll be buying them-this time, in shorts.
I have the new frontier in arrow fit and they actually work for me. I did get the a little bigger waist than I need, but I wanted an 11.5 rise. I have little legs so it works. I have the Blue Jay in easy guy. No mainline unfortunately, but these top them all. But I don't wear shorts. I can't wear them to work anyway
The only thing I want to say is if you get a woman's fit, the patch isn't as big, if that matters you can always swap it. The belt loops are a little smaller also. But I like the fit on me. 😂
These will make a great pair of shorts!
