Lovely, i love polar bears. I love the fact that they are not snatched from the wild but rescued because there are still a lot of zoos that take animals from the nature to put them behind bars.
+Boris Aceski It's an awesome zoo
I like that too.
some zoo get good breading animals they have. as these related pair have . in some case better swap baby animal to another zoo than try get animal they breed in there zoo . keep species go alive.
When I went to the zoo I saw polar bears playing (fighting) I couldn’t stop watching
I disagree with zoos but this place is a lot better and the bears look healthy, happy and stimulated.
I think it’s interesting that I went to this exact zoo!!
I recently visited this zoo, I was awestruck, POLAR BEARS RULE!! Thanks for great Zoo?
Awesome. I also visited again last week. Couldn't take my eyes off the polar bears.

Hello, my name is Jennifer and the reason I write to you is related to the feeding of polar bears in captivity. I am currently studying in Spain the title of keepers of wild animals, and I am carrying out a work of feeding in captivity of polar bears and the forms of euthanasia on their feeding. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.
If you have questions write directly to the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
Just walk through the city and use public transportation. You don't need to go to any zoo. Zoo is right around you.😅
I have been here and the polar bears are honestly so depressed. It's eye opening to see them in a snow-free environment, so sad. I wish they would just abolish zoos.
What are the signs of depression? I've seen them in the wild and it's not an easy life.
The signs of depression are usual. They are starved (hungry) and have no snow. I have been to see Polar bears in their natural environment and they are happier then they are there. You can just tell. They mope about, just sit around. Don't really want to do anything. You can look at them like you look at a person and see that they are not whole. They feel boxed and confined and it is wrong for any living thing to feel that way.
Everyone knows they love swimming, if they have water in there the zoo doesn't look completely horrible. The climate is ideal in Winnipeg? It is so humid there that they would have to have air conditioners or whatever going from at least March through November. A polar bear couldn't survive in a climate like Winnipeg's on its own. And you know what? So what if they are near starving? If they die, it's the circle of life. That sounds cruel but that is life and that is life because humans make it as such. Watch the Lion King. Then watch something that shows the cruelty of animal wranglers, from the perspective of the animals. Nothing is ideal about that place except humans having the convenience of seeing the poor animals but it doesn't make much of a difference does it because humans don't see how sad they really are. If they saw how sad they really are then they might understand and stop. And don't think I'm not including myself in this because I am. Earth's creatures are not meant to be kept in cells.
Seriously? Do you think in their natural habitat they have snow all year round? Come on...
Winnipeg isnt humid, and they're happy
Poor bears
Liam Williams why?
Ji vais 2aout
But a polar bear supposed to be in extremely cold temperatures. The zoo is nothing compare to the North Pole
Well it's in Canada. Pretty sure it was chilly there.
There are polar bears in the wild living in Manitoba, its about -40 over there
Polar bears live in the wild in Churchhill, MB where the climate is very much the same as Winnipeg, MB.
Actually the weather is fairly comparable. Even in the Hudson Bay lowlands you could get in the 30 Celsius or 90 Fahrenheit range in the summer. Winters in Winnipeg are very cold. Summers are a bit longer. But the whole reason the bears need ice is that they migrate out onto Hudson Bay to hunt and fill up on seals. Summers are the tough season for the bears. Since there is no sea and a longer summer in Winnipeg, they get fed by the zoo staff.
The zoo is located in winnipeg in the Canadian prairies, One winter they had to bring the bears indoors because it was too cold for them.
They should be free😞
yeah, i agree...
they don't deserve to be confined in a very limited space
they are rescues so they can't be released to the wild. they look pretty happy to me
