This was the most heart wrenching last boss battle I've ever seen. Let alone the ending of the game period. This game is absolutely phenomenal

When Peter got mad and broke doctor octipusis arm I went "holy shit" it's amazing what kind of character spider man.
In one challenge taskmaster said that Peter hold's back with his punches. He could break someones skull if he wanted to but he doesn't kill he could easily kill all the sinister six if he wanted to.
As Ben Parker said with great power comes great responsibility.

Trash? I doubt you've even watched an MCU movie properly. Barely even 30-40% humor and you think it's trash?
Now, "them not being remotely close to the source material" isn't even a shortcoming even if they were that bad. Marvel Studios knows how to treat their characters and arcs with respect without plaguing them, and they don''t even need to replicate materials from the source as long as the script, direction, themes and characterization are done right (which have been admirable in MCU movies). The heroes became who they are because of stakes, right-to-make choices (for establishing peace) and deeming themselves worthy through their ideals. MCU is known for keeping comedy and seriousness in balance. One is there when it needs to be, not when it shouldn't. Nothing really feels forced as they respect the stakes when it's due, and then throw a little humor outside of seriousness to make it feel vibrant. Then again, how are massive invasions, conspiracies and threats "useless scenarios"? Besides, there are only 4/5 team-up movies out of 20. Black Panther made $1.3B despite having only one hero (So, cash doesn't come in with only team-ups). About Spider-Man too, they got one thing right that, while he is portrayed to be comparatively very young in the MCU, he has much more to learn and needs time to grow. But he still proves he can be badass and useful when he has to be. Let's talk more in a few years' time when he gains significant character developement by then (just like Tony and Cap right now). Your first argument is actually refuted as MCU Spider-man is actually the most comic-accurate Spidey in live-action.
I'd never call MCU a masterpiece. It's far from perfect but far from trash too. If you can't watch one properly, then maybe one can criticize it properly. Almost every hater only criticizes the humor and light-heartedness (and like I said, there's barely 30-40% humor). Maybe if one would take the characters, themes and script into consideration (than just the humor), then I would find some place to agree on.
But you still have every right to disagree with me. Maybe more reasoning could be in due but, in the end, it all depends on your own preferences. Like how I've never liked Star Wars but that alone doesn't mean it's bad at all.

Favorite things about this game: Yuri’s witty exchanges with Spidey, Pete’s complicated relationship with MJ, J Jonah Jameson actually having some valid points here and there. Also those boss fights were straight gold! This game is lit, too bad I sold my PS4.

Personally Pete and MJ's "Will they won't they" bit grated on be because, well, we know they will just when. Their Octavius is arguably the best I have seen written though.

@@vincentlance I think it was more the fact that their relationship was strained in the first place. All other series show Peter either is with MJ unconditionally or is crushing on her, so this including the 8 years of Spidey experience made it a bit more refreshing.
So many nods to the raimi films like when spidey tries to stop the train with his webbing, the final fight where peter’s mask rips like the first Spider-Man film with the green goblin and that shot with Spider-Man and doc ock on top of oscorp tower reminds me of Spider-Man 2 where spidey and doc ock were on the same position before their train fight. This game is a masterpiece with many Spider-Man references and eastereggs, I LOVE IT.

Look, the Injustice storyline is the best thing to come out of DC in a solid minute. The Metal storyline was trash. The Arkahm games are way overhyped. As far as Marvel is concerned this Spider-Man game is the best to date. It is fucked up to compare apples to oranges though. Like, yes they are both comic book companies, but they are still way different. They should be too. Each company should strive to give you a unique and enjoyable experience that makes you want to keep coming back to their brand and interested in their products.

Suchega Uber the Arkham games literally made one of the most loved combat systems to the entire gaming community... the Arkham series had a fantastic storyline by almost all accounts literally most people loved it. The Spider-Man game is good too but not entirely on par with the feeling the Arkham series had.

Dude, imagine this. Co-op sequel with Peter and Miles. You can handle small stuff separately, or together, but plot heavy things require you both.
That's likely going to happen. Peter will train Miles and they work separately and together in the game. Hope we see Venom in the sequel.
I think the sequel shoud have Co-op campaing modee whice it requires 2 players to play this mode.

May’s death hit me hard, MJ and Peter are so wholesome, Octavius wretched my heart out of my chest, and I always got excited when Miles came onscreen (and the last scene with Pete and Miles? Hell yes!). And it seems like we’re going to be getting a sequel in the future? So damn excited.

Most of the comments here are made by people most likely much MUCH younger than me.....so what I have to say, please go easy on me! I am almost 60 years old, but feel like I'm still in my 20's. I have LOVED Spider-man since 1970, when I was 11 years old. To me, Spider-man was and will always be the best and most fantastic hero....Batman is cool, but he had tons of money. Peter Parker truly suffered, and had ONLY the love of his Aunt May, along with a few friends. No truer words have ever been spoken than "With great power, comes even greater responsibility." So, this game, even though I couldn't play it, but have enjoyed watching the gameplay/storyline the past week, didn't prepare me for the emotional devastation of the end (even though it had been ruined by comments ahead of time!). You'd have to have a heart of ice, and be a cold cold muthafucka NOT to shed a tear or three at that scene....All together, a fantastic project! Hope I'm around for a sequel!

They really made me feel for the villain (Dr. Octavius). They also make you feel a little for the "evil corporate boss troupe" Norman because he is trying to find a cure for his son but he is endangering everybody else while doing so. This game is a masterpiece. So much emotion is packed with the voice acting of Dr. O. and Peter Parker, this is such a good videogame.

Well at least it's different, I mean it's the insomniac version of the story guys, who knows many more surprising story in the future...but uh..it's just that would it be weird it'll be 2 spiderman now? And I really don't want insomniac to kill Peter just to get Miles at the centre. I mean we just got A really good spider-man game that has it's own world !!! Just like Batman Arkham Series

The way Otto said he would keep Peter's identity safe if he helped him, leads me to believe that it was a trap. The old Otto wouldn't have resorted to blackmail.
Venom sadly won't be in the he or dlc,they already mentioned it alot of times but I do see potential of Osborn trying to cure Harry and turn him into the goblin. Also by the way the ending went,I think this game is getting a trilogy just like Batman. The ending open up so much like the sinister six,Harry,miles, and other villains you encounter in collectibles.

Second game peter will work for oscorp doing undercover work. Peter and miles will team up and also do separate missions. But if we do this universe, peter will likely die in game 3 since miles takes over as the only Spider-Man. Or he travels to an alternate universe and peter is alive

Well, I think we can safely assume that there will be a sequel. Normally with post credit scenes like that, they usually prelude to a sequel, not DLC missions. Fortunately, there will be future missions to be released that will include Black Cat and many others, so be patient. Anyway, I have to say that the acting was spectacular, the graphics were amazing, and the combat, though repetitive and rather easy from the looks of it, looked really impressive. The only downsides to this game are the its length, and the side missions were, I'm sorry to say very stupid. They had no purpose other than to create easter eggs and a reason for the player to explore the area. I am excited to play this game, but I have to admit that I did see many of this coming. I was hoping the game would be longer and that the rest of the enemies would have a bigger roles in the game, but they just served to be extras. But, I must say, despite its faults, it does seem like one hell of a good time and I can't wait to play it.

Really all I can say is this game deserves the name Spider-Man so much love so much care was put in this game. I adore spidey he's hands down my favourite super hero maybe even character in everything. I love how he talks to the fellow New Yorkers how he rides the trains talking enjoying the day. And even when the worst comes and one of his loved ones becomes and enemy he still stays the hero knowing the burden he'll carry. After shit like the amazing spider man film and games I'm glad homecoming and this game truly showed how our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is truly a hero. A gut wrenching tragic yet heroic ending and a game that has me wanting to get an entire console which is almost unheard of for me to think of. Truly Spider-Man.

Possibly nothing major. She toys with but admires Spider-Man and I doubt she knows his true identity but we won't known until the heist DLC drops. Imagine a twist to it where in the end, those two prevent a major heist from going down (buddy cop style) after the initial thought that she's the one who's going to attempt it.

I cried at the end, but Spider-Man did the right thing as a real man to save the city. Whoever made this game, please tell me. I played Spider-Man on my XBox. I had beat the whole game too. I lost ma Xbox because of Hurricane Katrina. This by far the best video game walkthrough I have seen compared to others one I have seen on TH-cam. GOOD ASS JOB!

Finished all 14 parts in a day, thanks for the playthrough! Great acting and story. That could have been a mini Netflix series. May dying at the end is tough to take for anyone watching or playing. I wonder if the post-credits scenes mean a sequel game by Insomniac or DLC content.
