TBH Robson was as good as Keane and Scholes combined. He was so good it took 2 players to replace him. Bit like Liverpool and Souness. When he left, it took McMahon and Whelan to replace him.
As a Nottingham Forest supporter I saw Roy Keane come through at the City Ground from 1990/91 till he left for United in 93.Keane would always be in my Forest greatest 11,but Bryan Robson was a colossal player.He was as important for United in the 1980s as Martin Buchan was for United in the 1970s.Both of those players I would have loved to have seen in the Garibaldi Red of Nottingham Forest.As good as Keane and Scholes were,I’d take Robson before either of them.Even Stuart Pearce has said he was a leader of men,and ‘Psycho’ was no shrinking violet was he!!!
Robbo set the tone and was the catalyst for an era of dominance in world football by Manchester United. Without him, there probably wouldn't have been the great successes that came after him.

As a Nottingham Forest supporter, I would have loved to have seen ROBBO in our midfield.A brilliant player, who stood no nonsense.Big Ron Atkinson called him pure gold when he signed him for United from West Brom,and he gave United great service.The trouble is United relied on him too much in the 1980’s, and when he injured his shoulder in 1985/86,Uniteds title challenge went down the pan.I still think the one sub rule then was ridiculous.There should have been five subs then(one goalkeeper and four outfield players).I just can’t understand why it took so long for a team sport like football to finally wake up to the fact that you needed multiple substitutes.It would have meant not having to rely on your star players like United did with ROBBO.A great player.

For me as a 6 year old learning about the history of the Busby Babes from my Grandad and catching any Utd games we could Brian Robson was my Hero and those reasons are why I still support Utd 40 years later

I dont know how old you are but with Robson man united won 3 FA Cups 1 European Cup Winners Cup where he scored 2 goals against Diego Maradonas Barca team in a 3-0 win in the final and he won 2 league titles even though it was at the end of his Career. if All players in the current man united team had the dedication and fighting spirit of robson they would win a lot more he never gave Up he wouldnt allow liverpool to beat them 5-0 he would tell his team mates to get their act together and stop feeling sorry for themselves just because they're 1or 2-0 down in the dressing room at Half time and he would say "don't you guys ever give Up" he was THE captain .if the players walking onto the pitch are afraid of losing they'll lose .a match is never over just because youre 1or 2-0 down it's your attitude against football thats important stay together as a team and not playing for yourself. if you think no matter how much you've cost that you're bigger than man united with no respect for the history of the club you don't last very long and thats the problem with man united players today they lack attitude towards football and im not even a supporter i just think it's sad cause man u is a big club
