I don't like Tyler's mum's character but I'll give her credit for not denying that it's rape when she learnt Amy was fourteen. Some people would argue that everything's alright so long as they consent but the fact is Amy's below the age of consent so she can't give it because she's too young, so at least Tyler's mum understood that. While I think she's deluded in saying and thinking that Tyler's a 'good kid' as she said at least she sees there's a problem here.

Serious sexual/ violent crimes are the exception to the rule when it comes to dealing with criminals under 18.there is no sealing the record or expunging, it will stay on their record forever. The charges will never vanish and will appear on any background check for the rest of the offender's life- regardless of age when crime was committed. This information I know is a fact according to government websites about DBS checks. Laws and legislations regarding safeguarding. Also, my work deals with these laws a lot.
