Bodacious being considered the most dangerous bull in the world and retired in his prime because there was fear he was gonna kill someone should've earned him the number 1 slot. That big boy was straight-up homicidal!
This list is about the rankest bulls and Bodacious isn't the rankest. His popularity and reputation lead people to think he was ranker than he was. Dillinger, Little Yellow Jacket, and Bushwacker are in a class of their own.
@@lindseyormsbee Hello, because I'm not a fan of Rodeos, but I've watched a few, so watching Bodacious down through the years have changed my mind, I've never seen anything like him, and although he's not considered the rankest bull and probably long gone hmmm, so I ask with respect, what does rankest mean, because I agree with @CapitolRegionResponseVideos, This bull caused a championship rider ( Tuff who I love ) to get off of him, and many other's to be seriously injured and the way he leaped up in the air out of the gate riders were coming off of him, to be retired in his prime, when many of these bulls were able to get old in the sport says a lot, when I think of Bull riding in a rodeo only one bull still comes to mind today Bodacious 2023 th-cam.com/video/9Vae8XP6yzw/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/cGXd1vq8HVc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/95EWcdOD_q4/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/uElKGQ03Q7U/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/JX60Ku0QnhQ/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/XtSrlfcrY6s/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/CMDbm97FH7E/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/OUnSXXrnG78/w-d-xo.html . I think what cowboys rate a great bull for giving them high scores , and what me as layperson ranks as great is a difference of opinion. To me Bodacious was in a class of his own and an absolute Superstar.
Bodacious was epic and probably the most dangerous and difficult to ride because of that (and still one of my favorites)...but Dillinger and Little Yellow Jacket were pretty epic bucking bulls that didn't have the added head-crushing
The cowboys do have a point though, it's very easy to train a bull that has a 100% buckoff rate, not as easy to train a bull that earns high bull scores, entertain the audience, gives the cowboys a slim chance to get a ride if they perform extremely well and yields very high scores the few times they are ridden I'd rather have a bull that bucks off 80-85% of the riders and gets killer bull scores and most of the rides scoring in the 90's than a bull that has a 90+% buckoff rate but finishes outside the top 5 in the World Championship Bull Standings
You took the words right out of my mouth. Rankest bulls! You have stuff saying Bodacious was the baddest Ali with everyone else. Ok, let’s put him #6! Lol huh?
Not being argumentative whatsoever so don’t take it that way, but bodacious and taking care of business in my opinion but little yellow jacket and bushwhacker are some bad ones as well
Bodacious was the most dangerous, maybe not the most consistent early in his bucking carrer but when he matured into his prime there was no Bull more feared than Bodacious.
My favorite is Little Yellow Jacket, especially for his style. I loved to watch how he stood there after the victory proudly looking around as if saying - is there no one else?! And then receded with dignity.
It's crazy how far and how fast the bulls have progressed. These clips are all impressive, then you watch Woopaa and it hardly makes sense how high that bull can jump
I think they went away from the smaller bulls because they were too fast A bull like Blueberry Wine can spin so fast you literally have no chance and you go flying 10 feet when you're bucked off
Bodacious was nasty and then he perfected that head thrust and became deadly. I think he's the only (or one of the few) that was retired because he was damgerous
Love the names of some of the bulls and how rock and roll most likely inspires them. Moody Blues is a perfect example.. Saw a bull named Locomotive Breath. Most likely named after a song by Scottish rock band song Jethro Tull.
Little Yellow Jacket is still my favorite. He seemed wise and had a certain charm. The "rankest" can always be debated...so many great ones, but Bodacious deserves legendary status for sure. Freak of nature, that one.
@@WilderhopeAdventures I don't ride bulls or claim any insight. From a lay person's eye, he didn't do a drastic head throw. His strength on the drop, along with the natural upward movement of the head for the next jump was the issue. That's how I see it. His retirement was the right move, because it was a deadly combination of factors. It's not been repeated, because of the power required to pull it off. Riders praise the bulls that they scored well on, but Bo was the reason there is a PBR today. He made the sport, and the cowboys caught up in popularity.

I’m going with Red Rock. Never went after a rider once he was off. Sometimes took a little victory lap for the crowd before going back to the chute. Undefeated until they brought his geriatric butt out of retirement but even then was able to drop a world champion over 50% of the time. Outsmarted the cowboys by doing the opposite of what they were planning. A bull with brains. But my FAVORITE fact about him is that, deep down, he was a kind soul. He never tried to hurt his opponent after defeating them. He’d let kids sit on him and be as gentle as a lamb. A real life Ferdinand the Bull. Mean, hard bucking bulls are a dime a dozen…intelligent, kind bulls with good sportsmanship like Red Rock are one in a billion.
Not exactly geriatric butt.....world champion in 1987, lost to Lane Frost 4-3 in the Challenge of the Champions in 1988. I agree that Red Rock was the smartest bull that ever graced the Rodeo arena, its great to here Lane talk about the head games going back and forth between him and Red Rock during the challenge. Lane was bucked off Red Rock during the 1985&86 NFR but came back and won 3 of the last 4 events to win the challenge. I still think Red Rock having retired undefeated 309-0,and been in the NFR all 4 years has got to put him near the top of any bull rankings....
Yea for Dillinger! Always been my choice for the greatest bucking bull ever. I think that this video should have brought up how dangerous he was a little bit more....
Bodacious was easy to figure out when you know what to do with them unless he gets a little smart on you then you got a problem. Best thing to do is just slide down put your legs under his horns and straight back and try to watch which way you think his head gonna turn and you gotta have lightning reflexes cause it could be a trick. He could flip the other way or not turn it all but most likely he’s probably about to turn that way so you’re going to wanna lay your body to the opposite way that he’s turning why you’re straight back with your legs right under his horns with your Pushes tight away from his head from your body as you can be and if you just gotta fall off, you just fall off don’t get brave. He covered Oscar at a PRCA Rodeo in San Francisco back in the 70's
@@PBR_BudLightCup right, I drew Oscar once what a mistake getting on that bull lol thanks for correcting me I couldnt remember. But I got to see Donnie ride once dont remember where. But he was an artist.
Not sure if it was Donnie, might have been Larry Mahan. And I agree he should have been on this list!
I thought this list was supposed to be the top 10 rankest. If so Bodacious has to be number 1!
Little YJ is wild af.!!
Primus did a song about Bodacious. Crime that big bad ass Bodacious isn't #1
God Mode #1
Davids dream was a great bucking bull but not too mean.
Any list without asteroid doesn't count.
Blueberry wine should be high on the list not Bo but what other bull is? He wasn’t called the little bull that could for no reason!
pretty cool list but no bo? no red rock? but yellow jacket was def in the right spot
Blueberry wine? Reindeer dippin?
1 red rock 2 bodacious 3 yellow jacket
The video was posted 2 years ago but clearly, either was made before Asteroid and Bushwacker were active or the creators of the original video were sufgering from severe brain damage. I'm not sure where Asteroid would land, maybe #2, top 3? But not having Bushwacker #1 would be like not having Brady or Gretzky at #1. That is to say, absurd.
I had forgot his name but i remembered that blk and wht boy tearing it up
I like Mac the knife he loved his job
