No one in the right mind would give up extended arm like that, it like you asking re-bounder swim over, and to use your arm as leverage on your ability to readjust position.
we do this for 5th, 6th and 7th graders.. I think once your at the high school level lets not block out going to the ground.. lets block out with the ball in the air And please cut out the first 3 minutes. It took nearly 4 minutes of BS until we actually go to the drill. Coaches just love to talk and bore people.
Boxing out drills are always great. Its always up to the player and their effort if they actually do it.

I was literally arguing with some guys today about boxing out. They keep say this one guy was so good it didn't matter.
