Everyone of these inks looks terrific. Great choices @Penultimate Dave. Now I am interesting in Vinta Whiskey Gold and J.Herbin Riviere de la Lune. The Autumn sunlight one is gorgeous for backgrounds too, but I wonder if I can make some watered down Whiskey Gold to act like it. I don't know. Thank you, these Inks Comparison videos are great and helpful.
I really like Vinta Whiskey Gold, Diamine Frosted Orchid, and J. Herbin Riviere de la Lune. I would buy only J. Herbin because I know they do not put so much "stuff" in their inks. Diamine is a disaster.
I love to look at shimmer inks even if I don't use them as they are meant to be used because.... I remove the sparkles ☹ I just love how the decanted inks I've tried flow and coat my most extra-fine nibs without thickening the line👏Out of these 6, Dusk, Frosted Orchid and Rivière de la Lune get my vote ✅ Harvest Moon looks interesting, and I too think it would look great out of an ivory or coffee-coloured, brown, sepia pen. Have you taken it for a spin in your LOI Sands, your Sparkle Rocky Top Oversize or the Faceted Christopher 14 Honey Noire? 😍
Shimmering inks are a pain in the a##. There are some exceptions though. J Herbin and Pilot inks. Most of all you cannot recommend them if they have too many particles they block up the feeder right away, other inks like Skull & Roses and Shocking Blue - both are more or less the same ink - need maybe a couple of days. Either you use those inks in cheap, or glass pens.
Browns, burnt oranges, and dark golds are my favourite colours so I have added Whiskey Gold and Harvest Moon to my Cult Pens wishlist! It's super and I'll be able to use it all year. I'm hoping to ink Whiskey Gold in the Nahvalur Nautilus Gold Camerae (that's also on my wishlist!). Thanks for sharing.
