I quote pilotredsun videos way too often and I once met Michael's sister in college because she overheard me say "take a hard right on Saratoga." We talked a bit about her brother. I remember her telling me that she would always overhear him saying these absurd lines in weird voices like "fire is the best way to kill a spider" until he got the perfect take.

pilotredsun feels like a weird dream that you forget 10 seconds after waking up and only remember slivers from it later
i think the dreamy feel is because of the lack of shading and stuff, it gives this uncertainty kind of like the brains imagination you can see it but it has a wobbly inconsistency
That's how I feel about the current [Someone's] ultimatum trend, that really mimics pilotredsun's style

There’s something strangely alluring about Pilotredsun. His music has gotten me through many study sessions, and I could always tell that he was talented in visual art past the intentional rough style. Thanks for the video, I had always wondered if there was anything else to the Pilotredsun story.

A couple of things that got slightly glossed over here:
-The actual first video on the pilotredsun channel was "Kraft Dinner", but for whatever reason he deleted it at some point and then reuploaded it later.
-PilotRedSky also had videos on it at one point before 2018, gaming/commentary videos in the vein of what penguinz0/Cr1tikal was doing around that time (similar to the "Pro Football" video on his main channel too). I remember one was made around a flash-based Doom clone called Super Sergeant Shooter 2 and another was some 3d platformer where you jumped around the tops of buildings collecting pieces of cereal. Still kinda bummed that nobody saved these lmao
Overall pretty excellent summary though, I didn't even know about the PokeRemixStudio stuff before watching this!

i thought i was insane for remembering other gaming videos he uploaded. i vaguely remember a racing game he played and a tom and jerry game, but this was so long ago either of those could have been another youtuber.

oh my god. i listened to pokeremixstudio religiously as a kid, and pilotredsun has been one of my favorite creators since i found garfielf in 2013, even moreso after he released achievement. i had no idea they were the same person. so unreal
Pilotredsun’s animations always reminded me of the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff comics. I think that probably says more about me than it does about him.

PilotRedSun makes unironically good music. It's so weird and out of the box. Makes you wonder what you're supposed to be feeling emotionally listening to it. Great stuff.

WTF!! I used to listen to that primal dialga remix CONSTANTLY as a kid thats so crazy that im still a fan of his despite not knowing hes the same person
I was quite surprised to learn he had an FA, and while I never thought him a lesser artist despite the intentionally rough style I was quite surprised to see just how high quality the art there is! It's almost unrecognizable as anything PRS would make and I could only recognize some of the brushwork.

I also discovered PilotRedSun in middle school not long after the release of garfielf, and have always been so overjoyed to see a new release on his channel. I listened to a lot of his music uploaded to his tumblr during my time in high school, until eventually a lot of it was transferred onto youtube by other people which made it easier to listen to. I have a lot of nostalgia for PRS, his music was playing in the background of some of the most memorable times in my life from middle school, high school, college, and still to this day. I love listening to the "best of" and "mega mix" videos, songs like cheapie, fleece snowkbs, and especially cyber-op keys are a few of my favorites. I enjoyed this video, and actually never knew about PokeRemixStudio!
Even though the pilotredsun name was there clear as day, I never made the connection that the Garfielf guy was the same one that made the album Achievement. I remember that album was a big deal on rateyourmusic in 2016. PRS is an internet legend-put him right up there with Neil Cicierega.
The pilot red sun video Garfielf changed me forever and put me where I am today without pilot red sun I would never have ended up drawing Garfield tanks for multiple years
I love these more obscure sides of animation. Always feels like I've discovered something I shouldn't have, but... in a good way, if that makes sense? Really surreal.
I grew up listening to the PokeRemixStudio stuff, I had no idea the same guy would go on to do Garfief and other PilotRedSun animations.
I feel like if you are going to mention PRS’s animations you have to mention Grinch’s Ultimatum, as I think a lot of people know of that one, or at-least parodies of it. That’s how I found him at least.
It also has the most banger music
And sound effects taken from Descent! PRS is a man of taste.

Tbh, I never realized till now that.PilotRedSun made the quintessential Garfield shitpost. Beyond that though, it's interesting to how this guy has such a distinct and surreal artstyle.
While I've known PRS ' stuff for a while, namely garfielf, it wasn't until I watched Grinch's ultimatum recently that I was so intrigued that I haven't been able to leave the rabbit home ever since, it's just so... Captivating
after really enjoying the persona of pilotredsun for a while, i discovered his old music and it introduced me to the breakcore and it really made me appreciate prs a lot more, and now I have been supporting him on bandcamp on his pilotredsky account
The album he released _'Achievement'_ is absolutely amazing.

Grinchs ultimatum is one of me and my friend's favorite songs, we have watched PRS since Garfielf was uploaded, we also just discovered the remakes and omages and memes of it on TH-cam. Fitting for your video to then be recommended to me.

He strikes me as a man who almost doesn’t believe that he holds true skill/incredible artistic vision and thinks he just lucked out - this being the reason for almost hiding his tracks as being the person behind these three very successful aliases.
I randomly watched a pilotredsun video TONIGHT for the first time, then clicked on your video. Their stuff really (to me) fills the same niche that Cruelty Squad does. Incredibly high-effort and bewildering stuff. Thanks for doing what you do!
Nice job man pilotredsun has been one of my favorite artists for quite some time I do consider him almost a musical genius in many ways some of his tracks are just insanely good and he's a huge inspiration for my music as well. It's refreshing to see someone do some content on him because he seems like an enigma cheers man
found PRS last week and Fleece Snowkbs is probably up there among my all time favorites too. and what timing! a new PRS album just dropped today!

I am sad to say I never knew of PRS before CoryKenshin reacted to some of his videos, but I checked out his channel and just fell in love with the animation
I only found out he did music when watching the Quakers Oats video, reading the comments, and realizing how calming and wholesome that video was, and then seeing in the description that he credited the song Bodybuilder
Achievement is one of my favourite things ever created

While I was on discord i found two videos whit keyword "ultimatium". When I watched video called "Grinch Ultimatium" I knew that I found my goldmine.

achievement is one of my all-time favorite albums, it got me through the latter half of high school back in the day.
I liked that one video where he talked about the good old days after 9/11.
I only learned of his aliases of PilotRedSun/Sky 32 minutes ago when I happened to notice I had somehow missed him uploading that Route 113 remix on PokeRemixStudios by 2 years and then proceeding to read the comments where one commentor named janfal mentioned his other aliases which after watching Mr Fujiwara's office (as well as seeing garfilef under his most popular vids and being pleasantly surprised) lead me to this video via the recommended vids. All that to say, thank you for making this vid to shed light upon my all-time favorite Pokémon music remixer (since 2012) and his history that I never knew about.
Did not know about any of this other than PilotRedSun. Wow. Definitely gonna have to check out his other accounts.

PRS reminds me of a person I've been listening to called Abraham (Imusine) Impala, who also in my opinion does things by his own rules and makes amazing music.
